Am I hatin for only being impressed with the Joker screen? All the others look largely the same as ‘23 (not fooled by the cinematic lighting in the Bron shot)

    That Giannis is badly outdated

I second that. Excluding the new lighting which could just be a filter, the faces look mostly unchanged from 2K23??

I definitely hope once they drop last - gen that they'll finally prioritize overhauling body types.

They just need to do a few tweaks plus some "unique" bodies (for AD, LeBron, and a few others) to make them look like NBA players.

Plus, add back the ability to edit all players arm length (wingspan), waist width (I think that used to be an option) and length to the body edit menu.

It’s definition and size. Bigger issue is 2k can’t add definition without adding size. It makes no sense. And the mid-section is the same for every player. Joel’s shoulder muscle looks wider than his waist here [emoji23].

Every “retro” guard in the game is built like Ty Lue here.. all of them. Iverson, Stockton, Zeke..

I’ve been buying 2k since 2k lol. But I have never wanted Live to come back so bad as I have the past 2-3 years. These guys need some competition in a bad way even if it’s just to give them a push to improve.

I don’t think most understand, these dudes are tall and the more muscle bound players look huge next to the skinny ones.. but NBA players are slender as ****. LeBron is one of the biggest dudes in the league and his arms don’t fill out T-shirt sleeves.. idk why 2k thinks these dudes are bodybuilders, everyone in 2k is built like Dk Metcalf.

The titles are released yearly - if they gave themselves a gap in between and time to redevelop the content, techniques, and technology, I would expect more.

Right, they need to bring in some pro - or former collegiate - players in to do "base" body scans for guards, forwards, and centers.

With the budget they have and the money they generate it shouldn't be impossible. Unfortunately, it goes untouched likely cause it isn't a "money making" issue.

Also, how do they WNBA player model compare to their real-world counterparts?

My exact takeaway. I’m tired of seeing faces go untouched for 3-5 years in a row. That Giannis is literally the exact same from when he was scanned as the cover athlete of 2k19.

As a top 3 player in the league, this is unacceptable. I can see role players getting this type of treatment. But the actual STARS need to be represented better.

And if I’m really nitpicking, Steph’s new hair update is actually terrible. Lol. No blending / taper whatsoever.

I can’t deal with these outdated renders of star players! It’s embarrassing. These devs clearly don’t watch the game they are developing a game for. KD looks like he is on steroids, Lebron looks like he is straight out of 2018, jokic looks malnourished, Giannis looks 4yrs younger.

It’s crazy how little they care for accuracy. If they aren’t good enough to do it or couldn’t be bothered give us access to mods who do actually care About realism and accuracy.

I think most people are rational and thoughtful in their critique, but the usual suspects come around and do the usual song & dance.

Gotta just know who to engage with and who to ignore.

Eh this stuff looks OK, but at this point, I just need to know what's being "Improved" for Specifically NBA Era's.

I see no reason as if not to purchase this game especially since MJWizards did what he did by himself

There's absolutely no way I'll get it and erase all that content just to say I'm playing 2k24. They gone have to go big and personally don't think that's happening.

I feel the same on madden 24, ain't buying that either, yesterday I was able to play madden 98, and then popped in madden 2005...

My goodness, how so much has been removed from the older games until now, it's flat out ridiculous.

I'm glad and thankful 2k did what with 2k23, if that has to be mylast edition I'm fine with that. Even if they cut there servers off, I can still lean on the base game with all the retro stuff still intact.

You use to not being able to do that in the past.

They look cool, but how will that translate to what's happening on the court? How will this translate to creating a player? Will I finally get some body type options for my create a player outside of Mycareer? Streamlined Mycareer? What does that mean? Does that mean I can go back to starting from High School and having the option to play 4 years in college and then maybe some D league if I choose? I actually enjoyed the G-League experience before and wanted the option to play out my G-League season. Maybe give me the options to move forward when I see fit, not because a prescripted plot forces me to. i truly loved all 2k's, i just wished i had more incentive to play enough to make the hall of fame. I feel some of the prerequisites to make the HOF are busy work. I feel that breaking some of the records that I broke should warrant me a nod.

It bothers me that LeBron’s face hasn’t been updated since 2K20 even though it doesn’t look accurate compared to other players. How is the NBA Live 19 LeBron face still better with as many times as LeBron has been face scanned since 2K14??

2K18 actually had a more accurate looking LeBron than 2K19, then they replaced it with a much worse one in 2K20 to present.

There’s no reason player faces should get less accurate. Especially if they’ve been scanned multiple times.
