I'm a sucker for graphics and those look spectacular! I just can't bring myself to buy the PC game without Next Gen features. That's the only thing stopping me.

Even the Lakers jersey modes well
I wish 2k could put a graphics system that will let players mod the players bodies and faces
      On consoles

Another player copy and pasted from last year. I don’t believe these new shots as they look filtered compared to the first release of Wemby and Giddey

These are the most shamelessly filtered promo pics I’ve ever seen from the game. That leads me to believe the actual graphics are unchanged. Cause they’re so blatantly using highly edited cartoony pics. Usually they use in game footage at least meant to look organic. Most of these promos literally have graphics and designs all over them like a marvel universe card.

The LeBron one in particular is over the top. Like, got-too-excited-using-Instagram-filters-for-the-first-time over the top.

Exactly. PPP (the guy who made most of the mods in this thread, including that Giannis) is one of the best cyberface creators, but he's not the only one doing very high-end work, and it's inevitable that different creators are going to hit better on different players (also inevitable that people will disagree on who is better than who at this or that player). PPP has made a Steph, for instance, but even he would probably tell you that monja's Steph (below) is the gold standard. Then we all have different judgments about what sort of lighting or filters we may like (and even those can feel different in-game vs. in screenshots; to me, PPP's cyberfaces actually tend to look significantly better in game rather than in screenshots, which is hard to explain, since there are many creators for whom the opposite is true).

The point, as you say, is that one actually has recourse to fixing the game's shortcomings, and once almost every player in the league is your idea of the best available upgrade, playing a game with all default cyberfaces it feels like almost everyone is disfigured in some form or another. Ironically the best-looking players tend to be the young players who were scanned recently, as opposed to the most iconic players in the real-life NBA. Jimmy Butler looks abhorrent whereas 2K actually did a pretty good job on Walker Kessler!

Whose work is in your screenshots?

That looks incredible. Are there jersey physics added too?

                    Exactly.

So far my assumption is that the game will look like the Josh Giddey and Wemby pics which look identical to 2K23. Those are the only pics that don’t have obvious filters on them. We’ll see soon enough if that’s accurate.

The face scans on the latest OVR cards are clearly sharper and more defined than 2K23 but the Giddey and Wemby pics have that more blurry face look and don’t look any different from 23 graphics. It’s definitely confusing.

That'll come next week. This week was likely ratings and screenshots.

I agree with this. And it will really annoy me once it's 100% confirmed because visuals can go up a notch in my opinion and improved visuals are a big one when it comes to hyping players prior to release. Feels like an easy slam dunk to be had if 2K wanted it.

But hey, we don't know for sure yet....

Yeah this is what I’m interested in. Some creators have already played the game and pretty have stated that it’s the same game. However park players aren’t looking for the same things in a basketball game that we are.

A park player wouldn’t notice improvement on the offensive and defensive a.I even if the changes made were massive. However, that would be a generational leap for to us. So I’m keeping my eyes open for this feature. Could be fantastic.
