Other things you can also always pencil in not showing up will be Madison Square Garden and TD Garden. For whatever reason, those will never be licensed in game.
I believe EA has the license. Pretty sure they're in the most recent Live games and I wasn't to say they're in the NHL games.

EA should have to forfeit the license of the stadiums for the NBA since they haven't made an NBA game in 5 years.

      Seems like the consensus is:
      1. 2-3-2 Finals
      2. Arenas, presentation, and other details (jersey size and texture) carried over from Jordan Challenge/Mamba Moments or created brand new and implemented
      3. Player appearance updates, especially for the LeBron era (LeBron, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Curry, Dirk, Kevin Love, Shaq are the first few that come to mind that don’t really look like they do in 2011 with any 2K23 models)

Really wanted before release. Little things make and break this mode. Definitely seems like 2K is listening on a big scale but the details are what will really take things over the top.

Chris Anderson has like 10 different looks they randomly added last year lol that's cool because he had several different looks that stood out during his time but c'mon. Melo, Heat LeBron, Pau, etc let's get update some hofers.

I would have loved another starting point in the 80s, the Bad Boys era. The last of the Celtics-Lakers rivalry, the Pistons as one of the most special teams in league history, the rise of MJ. That season gives me more, then the 83-84 saison again.

My starting point will be with the 2011 lakers. What if they hired Brian Shaw instead of Mike Brown or what if the cp3 trade went through after the lockout ended…

Meh, I'm going to pass this year. The updates to MyNBA are disappointing, to say the least. I'll keep an eye on impressions after launch to see if the lighting issue for rebranded teams has been fixed and finals badges implemented, etc.

Re: NBA 2K24 Introduces New Updates to MyNBA

MyNBA once again seems to have only very minor improvements. It's my favorite mode, and I'm not sure why 2K doesn't put more time into this. Last year they had removed the player/coach interactions, not sure why. Hopefully it's back this year.

Another thing I have been begging 2K for is continuing MyNBA franchise year after year. Imagine if you can take your MyNBA franchise from 2K23 into 2K24 and so one, instead of starting fresh every year!

Also, in MyERAs Quick Play whether they now allow for downloading rosters and if ERAs will allow you to skip to a particular season in the ERA (for example instead of the ‘91-‘92 season play the ‘95-‘96 season immediately instead)?
This is my thought too. I can’t imagine they’ll allow a roster export and the official draft classes are just sparse enough that I don’t really want to play with them. I might give it a month before I pick this up, but otherwise excited to keep the Boston Big Three going.

Re: NBA 2K24 Introduces New Updates to MyNBA

That 2k article was a nothing burger. MyNBA Lite was already a feature in the MyNBA setup options in 2k22 and 2k23...

Glad they continued to refine the eras experience and added the LeBron era.

This did not provide me, as a MyNBA only player, any reason to go from 23 to 24. I hope that one of the devs does a proper interview that goes into the details of what legacy issues are fixed/upgraded soon. I have noticed that every version of 2k that has scant details on the MyLeague/MyNBA/Association mode during the hype cycle has a disappointing bug filled offering of the mode. Hope that's not what this year's version is...

Curious if the player models will auto update with custom rosters.

The MYNBA Era news with articles and photos is cool, but I was really hoping for around the league highlight show displaying highlights from games going on around the league during that era.

                            • Configure manually
                            • Use MyNBA Lite preset

Selecting Lite would bring you into team select, then right into your new league with all the Lite stuff set to Automatic.

If they really went through trouble to make it bonafide mode (with its own distinct UI, etc.), it just feels like a waste of development time. If, on the other hand, loading into "MyNBA Lite" from the main menu literally just takes you into plain ol' MyNBA with a casual preset loaded, then I suppose it's good that they didn't waste the devs' time, but it'd also mean that this Courtside Report is kinda promoting a fake 'new' feature, which is always a bit annoying.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a new, dedicated mode, lol

just a streamlined experience for folks who don’t dive into details as deeply. This year seems to be all about accessibility.

                            The more options the better.

Figures this year would be lite on upgrades considering the MyNBAEras overhaul

Would still like to have seen more commentary on the polishing side of the mode:

                                -RFA accepting qualifying offers bug
-being able to edit the number of bird rights years (for guys who edit classic teams)
-players recovering from injuries too soon
-general overhaul of created drafted players (from appearances, names, accessories)
-not being able to trade protected picks unless you use the “trade finder” feature
-getting coach history and records on the coaches card
                                -so and so on

Hopefully with “eras” being the general direction for the future of the mode. Would be nice to the dev team revisit some previous ideas and concepts and either flesh them out more fully or polish them up
