I put up a post on Diamond Dikembe on Page 33:

    http://www.operationsports.com/forum...thread-33.html

Basically, I would pick 6 out of these 10:

    Badges to Add:
    1. Posterizer: [Edit: was missing this. But Schlumpfpimmel pointed out the glaring omission.] For those standing dunks. (I actually played a game with him tonight and he had a standing dunk ricochet due to Shaq defensive pressure.
    2. Relentless Finisher: I've accepted this as a must-have badge for basically anyone who isn't solely a jump-shooter.
    3. Pick & Roller: On one hand, I want to help him offensively however I can, and his Speed/Acceleration is pretty decent. But maybe a waste because his Driving Layup/Dunk (32/40) are so atrocious that he's just plain bad as a roller, unless he gets a clear lane, in which case he doesn't need any help.
    4. Acrobat: never going to eurostep with him or try for reverse layups, but to the extent that contests and contact on layups may trigger an animation that activates this badge, it could be useful.
    5. Dreamlike Up & Under: Again, want to help him score. This badge wouldn't be for after faking the post-fade, as Dikembe's is terrible at 48. But the one nice tool he has is a 95 Post Hook and I think if one fakes the hook and then goes the other way, that's an Up-and-Under.
    6. Drop-Stepper: Again with the post offense. Maybe a waste, again, because with 83 Strength, he ought not be able to back down elite centers close enough to drop-step. But if this helps him get a great animation to get clear look at basket, even from 5 feet out, maybe he can get nice Close shots/layups.
    7. Post-Spin Technician: Offense again. But another potential futile buff, as he only has 78 Post Control...and that 83 Strength.
    8. Putback King: 7'2" with great rebounding stats, so I imagine he'll get 2-4 offensive boards and/or opportunities for mid-air putbacks.
    9. Break Starter: Was a mandatory big man badge for me last year, but all but forgotten because of the limited slots this year. Because most offensive stuff is maybe useless on Dikembe, this may make good sense. Especially since I'd probably surround Dikembe 1-4 with athletic shooters.
    10. Dimer: Just because it's nice to have on everyone.

I think what I'm leaning toward is:

    1. Posterizer
    2. Relentless Finisher
    3. Acrobat
    4. Dimer
    5. Putback King
    6. Break Starter

^Good work man yea I saw it was just wondering what everybody decided on. I was considering break starter too but I'm just so scared to throw those cross court passes, the opposition can fastbreak cheese on me but when I throw them they go into the third row so I usually stay away from them. Lol

I've had Midrange and Deep Range Deadeye activate simultaneously when taking long 2's, something to consider if you have somebody like Elgin Baylor, or Demar Derozan with great midrange game, and not so great 3 point ratings.

I think Break Starter will activate not just with the really long football passes, but even less than half the court...I think it will also help them throw passes that not simply are on target, but also on target in the sense of leading the recipient and allowing them to maintain full running speed.

I'm not quite decided. It's hard to contemplate putting on no post-scoring badges...but I really do wonder how useful they can be.

I think I really need to think hard about Pick & Roller. If Dikembe is on the court, he can be most involved in the offense if setting screens and rolling to the basket. So I should probably try this more and even test if it makes an appreciable difference.

Yeah, we all could probably benefit from video of various unexpected badge activations, but I've seen enough reports of how "zone-based" badges can fire off because lines get blurred as long-two gets into three-point territory and similar.

              I don't, but with him, I'd go:

              1. Defensive Stopper
              2. Difficult Shots
              3. Acrobat
              4. Dimer
              5. Relentless Finisher
              6. Limitless Range

If there's one in there you don't like, maybe Tireless Scorer.

And to defend against Magic, Oscar, GP, et al, in the post.

The disappointing thing is how they tied it to position this year. Otherwise, it would be a big thing to have on a PG if switched onto defending a Center. Magic already has the size, Strength, and Contest to stand up well to a Center, but would be great if he had Rim Protector and it would activate while defending a Center.
So you are saying Rim Protector it is tied to position? That would mean it cannot activate on PGs? Any source?

Sorry...I got mixed up. I was thinking about the limitation on Defensive Stopper. Rim Protector isn't constrained.

Think I'm gonna drop Rim Protector on Magic, as well as Jerry West and MRR. May have already...

Faced a guy with Amethyst Harden tonight. He's a terror driving to the rim. Can sent a bucket, but very hard to do that and also avoid a shooting foul.

Yeah, i did put it on my diamond Magic too now. I hope it works.
Defensive stopper btw isnt tied to a position, some Bigs have the badge too (PD Tim Duncan has HOF defensive stopper for example)

What I was referring to is that Defensive Stopper, apparently, only activates when defending a similar position. Guard on guard or wing. But not guard on center, apparently.

Not really sure why. Maybe to not allow people to just go super tall and have bigs on guards, nerfing all their badges?

Since I'll use emerald T-Mac for the rest of 2K as I'll most likely won't ever afford another version of him, what type of badges should I put on him? He comes with posterizer and I've added difficult shots and relentless finisher. 2 slots left, I was thinking maybe corner specialist as he has a hotspot in one corner and maybe tireless scorer. Any other suggestions? Bruiser? One man fast break?

Not sure about that tbh. I switch all and i think it activates vice versa.

I would love it if it cross-activates. The only reason I bring this up is because the badge description itself refers to this limitation.

Without having to sift thru 38 pgs....

Does anyone actually have numeric breakdowns of what each badge boosts? And how much boosts at each upgrade...? (bronze, silver, gold, HOF)

The main reason I'm asking is because of redundancy. I.e. Do I need to add Pick Pocket to someone that already has a 95+ steal rating (not that there are many out there)? Or does the badge lower my foul tendency to reduce reach-ins?
