So Robinson has a 50-something tear dropper tendency. And in limited games I've seen those animations a few times. More so than I've seen acrobat or difficult shots animations (although I feel like difficult shots comes up when I'm not expecting it sometimes so maybe I don't know the animations). Maybe it's just how I play. At this point Robinson is already pretty well badged but I think that tear dropper will be somewhat useful for me.

In 2K15, his Onyx was one of the first high-end cards I got.

The main bummer with him is that he was obviously nerfed with a lack of any HoF badges.
In just a few games it's been awesome. They're both flying all over the court and have been really active on both ends. They're getting more offensive rebounds than my Robinson/Mutombo combo in my starters and the Amethyst Putback King on Russell is no joke. It becomes a very fast-paced game with this second unit as opposed to my slower, more methodical first unit.

Another thing to consider is that the Difficult Shots badge would often be used for post hop shots, which will usually have you hopping away from the basket to make space. Most of the time you'd be activating the Tear Dropper badge, you'd be traveling toward the basket, putting you in better position for a rebound if the shot doesn't go in. Maybe even a putback.

Imagine how frustrating it would be to be driving and have your opponent get their Dikembe into position to block the dunk they know is coming. But then instead of a dunk, you hit them with a floater and they're left running toward you, not able to do anything about the shot, and their momentum taking them away from a potential rebound. Either the shot goes in, or you get the rebound and dunk it on them. I think I'm going to put Tear Dropper on my Sapphire Gilmore or Lanier when I get home and see what happens.

I don't think people pay as much attention to it as they should. I've definitely shied away from players with high block and contest atts but low tendencies.

Reaching back to much earlier because I never really badged Diamond Larry Johnson and actually didn't play him all that much for a while. Have been using him more, lately, despite the fact that my lineup has gotten an influx of really nice frontcourt players since I got LJ...

Here's what I'm thinking Defensive Stopper/Post Spin Tech/Bruiser/Lob City Finisher/Acrobat/Corner Specialist he's a confusing player to badge for me anyone badge him up already and have any input?

I have 2 more open slots. I've narrowed down my list to add 2 of the following: Putback King, Lob City Finisher, Relentless Finisher, Mid-Range Deadeye

For the type of player he is, it would make sense for me to and Lob City and Relentless Finisher. Mid-Range deadeye is kinda an expensive badge, so I may save that one for a wing player. Not sure about Putback King, but I've included in because I imagine he'll be down in the trenches, and with his athleticism and rebounding rating this badge could be decent.
As PFMicks detailed, he only comes with four badges:

            1. Catch & Shoot
            2. Dream-Like Up & Under
            3. Drop-Stepper
            4. Posterizer

All are good for him, so that's cool. But 4 is a paltry number and a list of badges to add is a long list of dilemmas. Because he has well-rounded game, and most badges would be nice additions.

            I'm thinking...

            1. Rim Protector: Either this or Defensive Stopper is mandatory. I think, due to his Lat Quickness and overall Spped/Accel, I will never play him at 3 or even against relatively fast/quick Stretch 4's. So probably, if I only pick on, Rim Protector is better, so he doesn't get abused by bigger post-up 4's.

            2. Corner Specialist

            3. Brick Wall: good general badge to have on anyone, especially frontcourt, and I feel like...it's hard to justify Pick & Roller and Pick & Popper for him, or even just one. So Brick Wall is a way to make him more effective at both, in a marginal way, as well as a generally more impactful player on the court.

            4. Post-Spin Technician: to complete his post offense arsenal.

            5. Hustle Rebounder: help diminish the liability of his height in rebounding.

            6. Don't know here...

            Maybe...

            A. Defensive Stopper: when he defends guys facing up on him, help diminish his low Lat Quickness by at least being able to negate badges.

            B. Dimer: always useful.
            And he's a good passer.

            C. Relentless Finisher

Probably Relentless Finisher. And maybe I take out one of the other badges for Acrobat.

I badged LJ to play PF, but use him @ SF now with a lat quickness shoe.

              gave him:

              defensive stopper
              rim protector
              hustle rebounder
              bruiser
              brick wall
              corner specialist

Badging advice for Grant Hill. I want to use him as a secondary ball handler so I'm thinking dimer, p&r maestro, difficult shots, mid range dead eye, pick dodger, and defensive stopper.

Any suggestions for Ruby Giannis? I run him at the 4 he's got 3 slots open. Here's what he already has.

                  Posterizer
                  Hustle rebounder
                  tireless
                  Acrobat
                  Relentless
                  Lob City finisher

How about pick and roll maestro? Does Difficult Shots activate anywhere near the rim or is it just fade and moving mids?

Oh yeah...P&R Maestro would be nice if you want to use him as a P&R ballhandler a lot. I get it, though I will say that I find his dribble animations too slow for him to be really effective in this way...in getting good acceleration out of a standstill and using the screen for good separation. Boosting Ball Control does not seem to make a difference...not significant, at least.

Difficult Shots activates anywhere on the court when off-the-dribble shots are taken. So it could be a stepback midrange, could be a leaning three-pointer. Also post hop shots.

Because of Giannis's 86 Off-Dribble Mid, and his height, these are nice shots to take, and even nicer with Difficult Shots. Just imagine driving and then going into a stepback or sidestep jumper. Or running laterally and going into a drifting leaner.

                          Re: Badging Thread

so let's talk about the new theme cards

                          T-Mac:
he comes with 16 badges, all 7 traditional shooting badges already attached.
                          my suggestions:

                          - dimer
                          - defensive stopper
                          - hustle rebounder
                          - putback king
                          - pick dodger
                          - ????? (pick pocket / bruiser / break starter / post spin tech)

                          Penny:
pretty much the opposite to T-Mac, he has all defensive badges but missing alot of the shooting ones.
                          my suggestions:

                          - catch & shoot
                          - corner specialist
                          - mid-range deadeye
                          - deep-range deadeye
                          - limitless range
                          - posterizer

                          Scottie Pippen:
already has 20 badges, so not that much choice here.
                          my suggestions:

                          - deep range deadeye
                          - limitless range
                          - hustle rebounder
                          - putback king
                          - bruiser
                          - ????? (brick wall / rim protector / break starter / post spin tech)

I'm not quite decided. It's hard to contemplate putting on no post-scoring badges...but I really do wonder how useful they can be.

I think I really need to think hard about Pick & Roller. If Dikembe is on the court, he can be most involved in the offense if setting screens and rolling to the basket. So I should probably try this more and even test if it makes an appreciable difference.
Let me know your findings on if you applied pick and roller and how effective it felt. I'm still undecided on that last badge slot for Dikembe.

So I'm sure it's in here but I can't find it... just got Amy Steve Francis from MTO; what badges should I add?

Comes with: Ankle breaker (HOF), Acrobat, Posterizer

6 open spots. I was thinking:
                              - Deep Range Deadeye
                              - Pick and Roll Maestro
                              - Dimer
                              - Relentless Finisher
                              - Defensive Stopper
                              - Tireless Scorer

Would love to have shooting badges like Catch and Shoot or Limitless range since I'll sometimes play with my 2-guards but I don't see anyway they fit in. What do you guys think?
