Just when I thought I could not possibly get anymore stoked for the upcoming release, I get to the bottom of scouting report #2 and whose name do I see?

    Kurtis Holden Jr.

The son of my favourite prospect of all time.

    All hail SimWorld.

He probably wants to know like the rest of us, if these will be out months before 2K20 drops. If not, it kind of kills hype for it...for some anyway.

I believe that the fictitious classes will come out with the Simword Roster ...... I too am waiting for the whole project to fall
In the end we just have to thank the SimWorld guys, we hope the wait is almost over

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K19 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)

I knew we were going to get here and this is why I went back and forth about even getting the game until I got it late December. If we are being straight up, I have a ton of classes already pre-ready to go that just need DNA attached to it and a little tweaking. The truth of it all is that there are so many little things that slow everything down. These are just a few of the issues that I have run into while doing these classes:

                    - Using DNA attaches the years pro number of the player who's DNA you are using. Therefore when they are drafted, the game doesn't recognize them as rookies and they progress before they even step on the court and they aren't eligible for rookie awards. This sounds like it would be an easy fix simply by creating a roster that allows you to put every player's years pro to zero but SURPRISE......

                    - The game doesn't allow you to assign certain players to zero years pro. This is a big issue because I had to create a completely separate workaround to make sure the rookies are... well.. rookies.

                    - Around year 5 to 6 I have come across a bug where certain positions are devalued. In year 5 of my last tests, highly rated PFs and Cs were rated no higher than 90 on the draft rankings. Might not sound like a huge issue but it is. When the CPU is drafting, they will not draft any players at that devalued position. The last test resulted in a draft of nothing but PGs, SGs and SFs.

                    - Peak end and peak start numbers are changing randomly. I have always had an issue with things randomly changing on the draft classes but of this is easily the most sensitive of anything with the draft class players (outside of potential of course). The game starts too many players off with 34 - 35 year old peak ends so it is an absolutely essential edit. The overwhelming majority of players are declining before that. Also, it is important for the peak start to be higher for players with a large gap between their overall and their potential to allow ample time for them to reach that potential. With the random changing, it is a huge throw off because I have my numbers meticulously laid out to ensure that the league doesn't get too crazy. It's not a lot but it has definitely occurred a few times.

                    - Colleges changing isn't a serious issue but it still pisses me off.

Trust me when I say I'm not sitting on my butt. None of us are. I go to my first job, come home, work on this, go to my second job, come home, work on this. We got at least ten classes for y'all this year... period but things are in the way man. I know y'all get tired of waiting but I'm tired of waiting too lol. Yes we are very close and when the roster and the first class release, everything will come at a much quicker pace because that means we have all the issues under control.

If you have a direct question about the draft class and the process, post it here and I got you. Any questions about specific players, post it here and I got you. If you want to talk trash, that's cool too... hit my DMs and we can do that. Just know that we working and it's coming. Lots of classes are coming.

This is a question related to draft classes as a whole. I was told it was possible but never got an answer as to how by someone in the 2k community.

If you import the player ID from a roster are you stuck with having to give that player a nickname? Is the only way to avoid it to never import anything?

                      Thanks SW

Here's what I've seen work to avoid Nicknames: Edit Player, "Import Attributes, Not Appearance" from DNA, then Save Changes before editing anything else (don't go into the Vitals tab).

If you have a player with the "ABC" nickname, then go into their Vitals tab and edit Last Name to a name that is in the database (bottom panel) and Save Changes. The Nickname field should disappear after saving, but I can't confirm that they still won't use it in-game at some point.

                          Thats incredibly weird.

Any idea how to edit wingspans of NBA players or players using NBA appearances?

To avoid nicknames and any other problems with importing NBA player DNA, you can use the Myleague Euro stash work around.

Start up a new MyLeague, load the draft class you want to add the player to. Then go to the player you want to add to the draft class. Go into the edit player menu and set his “Years Pro” to 0 (This is in his Vitals info). Then go to his contract info. Scroll all the way down to where you see his “Contract Type” (it should be set to either “Core” or “Two Way”) and change it to “Euro Stash”. Save your changes and release the player to free agency. Then go to the “Prospect Scouting” menu. Click “A” (or “X” if you’re on PS4). This should open up a menu where you’ll see “Save Draft Class”. Click that and then save the file to your console.

Yeah editing players and classes inside of My league as Werewolf stated has been the best way to work around a lot of the DNA issues as the edit screen outside of has certain things missing that you're unable to edit.

Sorry I haven't posted dc3 scouting report yet but as you can see this DNA has been a pain. Dc3 scouting report should be done late this week and as we stated in the other thread, we finalizing the real and fictional class 1 for release as well.
