No, the game will automatically adjust to the set quarter length. For example, a player scheduled to play 36 minutes would play around 24 in 8 min quarters, 18 in 6 min quarters and so on.GT: minibeast100

Re: Shady Mike's "Real Feel" NBA 2K15 Real FG% Superstar Sliders
That's the plan...I'm trying to increase the value of guys like Tony Allen and Kawhi Leonard. I am achieving this by messing with the Jump Shot defense sliders, 2 sliders that I have been trying to get hammered down for about 6 months now lol and I think I got the hang of it...it's a balance between increasing their value but at the same time also letting shooters be shooters...I don't want there to be an end all be all defender...I've seen Kevin Durant knock down a 3 straight in LeBron James's face, so I want there to be a balance...
nd these tendencies...OH MY GOD lol trying to balance this with the HORRIBLE roster tendencies of the default roster, and some of the great rosters has been tough, but I'm close...main thing is I NEED to see guys attacking off the dribble and getting to the line...I felt like in a few of my recent updates I got away from that...
Rebounding has been revamped...
Speed has changed,
Strength has changed ,
Fouls have changed,
I'm excited because I think I have something pretty special here!
EDIT: And for the record...I just wanted to make it 110% clear there is no slider set that can make a player play better or get more touches...PERIOD...there is no set that will magically make Anthony Davis take 30 shots per game...and anyone who claims otherwise is misinformed...you can globally bump the post shots sliders as much as you want, and you know what you will get? Anthony Davis shooting 9-15 and Omer Asik shooting like 1-15...it's a global adjustment. If you want a SPECIFIC player to get more touches, not only do you need to increase his shooting and touches tendencies, but you ALSO have to DECREASE some of the touches tendencies of the guys around him...for me I edited Tyreke Evans, because it seemed every time I played the Pelicans he was taking the majority of the shots, and that's not realistic...just something to think about for everyone who uses the default roster.GT: minibeast100

Re: Shady Mike's "Real Feel" NBA 2K15 Real FG% Superstar Sliders
Shady, will the slider updates address screen defense? My biggest issue with gameplay now is it seems like no matter my defense, Poe, or defensive ratings of my players they always seem to loose their man coming off screens. I can't count the number of wide open 3s I've given up because my ai controlled teammate (usually d up the ball) just gets stuck when trying to go around a screen. Defensive settings and POEs don't seem to help with this at all.
Anyone else have the same problem?Comment

As for the Jumpshot Defense sliders, I think you're overthinking it! Basically, this is what they do: The Gather/Takeoff sliders affect how aggressively/quickly the defense closes in on the shooter as he starts his shot/layup. The Release sliders affect how well the defenders attack the ball as it leaves the shooter's hand. A lower setting leads to fewer contested shots, less effort given by the defender as they contest the shot, or an inability for the defender to get close enough to the ball to affect the shot.
Right now I have all of the Defense sliders at 100 as it makes the defense much more aggressive and aware of when a shot is taking place. Even with the Contest Shots tendency at 0, almost every single shot was aggressively contested by the defense. I may lower a few of them here or there, but I really like how active this makes the defense.
And also, in previous games the Release defense sliders affected the likelihood of a contested shot going in. This year that doesn't seem to be the case. After I raised each of the Release sliders from 60 to 100 I saw the exact same amount of and-1s and contested shots going in. This year the sliders only affect the actual awareness and aggressiveness of the defense.Comment

Lol the crazy thing is that the game is out since 10 months and we still dont know exactly what sepecific sliders do.. I think even 2k doesnt know what their sliders do and thats the sad thing...
Shady youre an absolutely monster in creating sliders!
I have my exams this week and then i will be in 2k mode, then i can finally test your new sliders, poke's and also eccentrics's slidersComment

Screen defense as in Floppy's and elevator plays to get shooters open? No
I really like the fact that it's hard to get around screens I mean the Warriors run their whole offense through that concept I mean that's the point of screens...GS runs their whole offense just by having Klay and Steph run around 50 million screens, and eventually they get open. CPU will still get open looks pretty often, that said the their shot success is lower, and the HUM D awareness is lower as well so that may help a little bit I think you will be pleased with the way the game plays.
Man, you're not joking about Tyreke Evans... He makes the Pelicans an absolute chore to play against, and the game just sucks because he constantly attacks and throws up bricks

Notice that the contest is still the same as in the position, but the CPU hit almost every shot they took in these 3 games, I'm convinced it effects contested shot success.

Yes, but for the global update roster you may have to bump a few shooting sliders
EDIT:Sorry for the audio reverb in that first audio clip, I had my mic on and I didn't notice.
EDIT x2: Also really happy with the way Kyrie attacked the paint thereLast edited by Shady Mike; 05-19-2015, 05:45 PM.Comment

Re: Shady Mike's "Real Feel" NBA 2K15 Real FG% Superstar Sliders
Try bumping Mid range and 3pt by 2 for both sides and get back to me.
Guys I am thoroughly convinced that Anthony Davis is hard coded to miss FT's...Comment

You have to get his rhythm. I now that sounds silly but before I was the same way with him. Now, last game I went 17-20 from the FT if I remember. That man had 46 and 23. SHEESH!!Comment
