User vs CPU is important, but there's just an imbalance of how much it is in our slider forums. There's a large amount of competitive players that like to play against a person. We could create more value for that segment to generate interest in sliders. Its easier to get 2k's attention with group effort.

I believe there can eventually be a single slider set for playing mixed user vs user & user vs cpu games.
You're correct about the money aspect. Sports Sims are good the way of Call of Duty games. For example COD 4 is one of my all time fav games. I loved it for single player campaign. That's been an afterthought for years now and I haven't played a COD in years. I hate seeing it happen to my favorite sports games. Non of the major sports titles seem to be able to focus are a great sim game and online game at the same time. An easy fix would be to somehow have online and offline gameplay completely seperate with their own updates. One not affecting the other.

I get the competitive aspect. I got a friend whom I'd love to do an online MyLeague with. Problem is last year the mode was basically unplayable, and this year it's a combination of waiting for sliders and the mode still not having all the features of offline. A big issue being if it's just a couple people in the league the admin can't control the CPU teams when it comes to trades etc.

It'll definitely take a group effort for 2K listen, I'm just not sure there's enough of us left to catch their ear.

For example (and a bit of a rant), shooting percentages can vary wildly over 15 games for a team. They could go thru 5 games where their hot, or their opponents shoot lights out. Its one of the few things we're really sure about how to change with sliders. Yet, people constantly leave it as feedback (FG%'s too high, too low). A similar thing happens with people describing shot profiles and that's a big reason I appreciate streaming. It at least gives a visual of what is happening.

Unfortunately, even with all that said, it feels like some stuff in this game is permanently broken.

tl:dr i think we need better feedback systems, especially if we're gonna stick to single player testing.
Yeah I hear you on that, but here's the thing. I'm fully aware sample size matters when it comes to the work you're doing on sliders and the feedback. Problem is (and it's 2Ks fault) it's time spent where the game feels like work and time wasted. Personally I just want to play a realistic MyLeague and get several seasons deep. That's my goal every year, but the time lost with each game waiting on sliders, rosters, patches, etc takes away a ton of time and it's getting worse with each release. We've already gotta wait bare minimum a month in just to get a opening day roster update from 2K. Then it's usually longer than that to get a decent slider set. Seems like by the time the games playable it's time for the next one. It's getting to the point where it's not worth the time and effort.

On a positive note, Shady Mike is working on an update finally. The more folks working on sliders the better.

I've been playing with your test set recently, and it's playing well. I have one thing I did...

Put acceleration with and without ball Max at 75. I was seeing a lot more natural movement from players, and even better AI decision making. Even saw the CPU pump fake a 3, take a dribble to the side and take an actual 3. Never seen that before.

Not to hijack or anything, just for mere contribution, I’ve created a slider based on old shady mike and some other sets. Including this one.

If anyone wants to take a look at maybe see something valuable feel free to take some ideas out of it and improve it/apply if useful. I dunno, just trying to make this effing game enjoyable.

Was there anything particular you found in your set to separate from the other sets (more CPU shooting fouls, better ball control/handling, etc.)?

                        I would have to mention:

1- Dynamism. Variety of plays. CPU shoots 3, attacks the basket, mid-ranges if you give them the chance or space to.
2- Good numbers - statistically speaking.
3- Lowered the jumpshot strength as I felt the presence (not even contest) of a player heavily affected the shot success rate.
4- Movement sliders at 50 game speed feels quite reponsive.

Hmmm, that would be all I think. Tendencies are the ones from Shady, so I just inserted them into another set I had, combined few stuff and adjusted to my own 'liking' and playstyle. I do like it... so maybe if it plays good something can come out of it.

                        Nothing groundbreaking however.

I would add because I tested them a lot that they worked well with official roster and also with tynole14 roster

Moreover, tynole14 did a modified version of it (don't check precisely what are the changes done) that also work well with official roster

finally, but this is personal preference, I put fatigue at 60 (both user/cpu) (maybe need a little tweak too) that enhance for me NoelG set because it adds the variety of being stucked if players have not enough stamina to dribble or run, increasing then the variety in the building up of actions but also in the pace of the game

Is anyone getting good gameplay and having fun with any particular set right now in MyLeague? Personally I was getting too frustrated with 2K updates breaking people's sets so I haven't played in several weeks. I'm really itching to play, but I've kinda been hanging back waiting for updates from Duce, Shady Mike, Eccentric, etc. When I do finally fire it up again it'll likely be me last attempt this 2K.

I've been enjoying NBA2k20 and I've been using a blend of Shady's and ThaLive Kings sliders. Is it perfect, no but I've enjoyed the games since it's provided a variety of outcomes as I'm just looking to have some fun and not get caught up on perfection. Don't get me wrong, it took some time to get to that point so I understand everyone's frustration. It's hard to imagine anyone will be able to create a perfect game for everyone. If they did, sports games would just be roster updates.
