Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
I watched your last game against the Grizzlies and it looked like it played really well except for one concern. Are you going to adjust tendencies for 3 pt attempts by the CPU? The Grizzlies only attempted 13 threes the whole game. Impossibly low amount in this day and age of NBA basketball.Comment

The problem I've come across with too high of a 3PT tendency is the CPU takes a lot of turnaround/on-the-move 3s at bad times. Most of the games with this set have teams shooting over 20 3's BUT at the end of the day, it really depends on how you play as a defense and what that team succeeds with for that game.Comment

Duce
Ok so as I've previously mentioned I haven't played in weeks waiting on sliders to get ironed out. I just played until halfway through the 3rd with your latest update and had to stop. I'm down almost 40. Sorry this is pretty negative.
7 total fouls!
CPU forcing everything into the paint and yes I'm using protect the paint (Steven Adams had 4 alley oop dunks at halftime!)
Blown user layups and close shots (an issue I continue to have with your sets) and the reason the game isn't close.
Too many CPU on ball steals. Couldn't allow a play to develop without getting the ball stolen.
Stuck in mud feeling on player movement.
Wonky animations. I can't even describe the awkward things the OKC bigs kept doing.
I'm shooting 28% largely due to the horrible close range misses but open jumpers just won't go in at all. I've had 2 corner 3s hit the side of the backboard.
Had players showing they were cold after missing one shot.
Oddly enough I started the game up 6-0, but they started forcing everything inside and hitting everytime even heavily guarded.Comment

Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
Thanks for the feedback (though it does sound rough). Honestly, considering the trouble scoring and defending, the difficulty level I'm going for may differ from what you're looking for (which is completely fine). This may sound like an odd question, but do you try to foul? Like as a necessity?
As for fouling. I wouldn't say I try to foul, but I will contest a shot at the rim pretty much everytime and it's not resulting in fouls that should be called. On my end I'm seeing plays where it looks like I got mugged and there's no call.
Something I see on default game speed which is why I always bring game speed is weird shot choices. I'm talking user players attempting a more difficult shot or layup than necessary. When I use your set on default game speed compared to say Shady's I'd swear there's at least a handful of animations with Markelle Fultz alone I just don't get with yours. Maybe that's the explosiveness or lack there of I've seen people talk about. I think it contributes to the blown layup issue.Comment

Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
I think that's an issue though. I don't think players should blow layups and easy shots on any difficulty. If I'm getting good looks and getting those layup attempts it's obviously not an issue with me. I'm certain higher difficulty can cause a user to miss those shots due to cheese factors though. If making the game more challenging means having those shots miss consistently I'd say that's not a good thing. Especially when the CPU hits the same shots but heavily contested.

With that said, I could see having a separate version of this set for different expectations. I think getting USER shots to fall is just a matter of raising the respective shot types you don't think are falling. To that, just raise the respective shot's success slider until it feels fair.
As for the current set, it definitely leans towards too hard, but that is because I believe all the tools should be available for use without feeling like you're cheating the game. With this set I have to play a mix of off-ball and on-ball defense, particularly against stars. I have to foul or else they will score in the paint at will, because my team doesn't have great interior defense. This means I more aggressively go for steals as the CPU drives more. You have to get turnovers/fast breaks/easy shots for your team to start consistently hitting shots in half court situations. You have to attack the mismatches (for teams without a stretch 4/5, feed the big when they have the matchup). You have to navigate bad stretches when your bench is in, particularly with lower tier teams. You have to set up your defense. And after all that, it's still a toss up on whether you're team will execute well enough to win.
Also, as always, I'm open to playing against anyone using this set (or their own), to get a better idea of what we're experiencing vs. what we're expecting.
The animations thing could be a game speed thing, but I feel thats also a personal preference thing. I played for weeks on different game speeds, but didn't find anything conclusive in my experience. Game speed changes are volatile from update to update, so I'm keeping this set at default for now. I would like to see a conclusive difference tho.
Think I worded that all correctly. Hope this didn't come off harsh/dismissive rlb, I do appreciate the feedback.Comment

Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
The problem is, we should both essentially be playing in the same/similar environment. The conundrum here is that if I give the USER more scoring opportunity, it will make scoring easier for me as well and I've been able to score in with FG% in the mid 40s. I'm open to playing as the Magic, but I feel they are on the same tier as the Kings.

As for the CPU forcing their way into the paint that drives me nuts and it's every player but especially CPU pgs. And when I say CPU pgs it's all of them no matter the players tendencies. That's more of a 2k issue but it drives me nuts because it leads to a backup playing the exact same as the starter and forcing his way into the paint.
I'm also big on teams playing as close to themselves as possible. I should absolutely struggle at times with the Magic, but every game shouldn't play out the same way yet it seems to with this set for me. I can't tell much difference playing with the Pacers or Magic. The same issues come up.
It's entirely possible your set isn't the best for me. The problem is there's not many to choose from anymore. Shady is working on an update but hasn't given a timeframe. The others I've tried were mostly too easy or simply no longer updated. I hate how much effort it takes just to be able to enjoy this game! I may try to up layup success and see if that helps me with your set. I can't stand blown layups 😂Comment

Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
In comparison I think the Kings would probably be easier to use from a videogame standpoint right now considering the Magic's injuries and difficulty scoring in real life. That's why it's extremely tough when the layups don't go in when they should. You've gotta really work to score with them.Comment

Re: 2K20 MyLeague Community Slider Set (User v User and User v CPU)
Not harsh at all. We are all trying to get a better experience. I also play as the Pacers and experience that same issues. Both the magic and Pacers have very good scoring bigs in Vucevic and Sabonis. Both miss easy inside shots often in missmatches. I feel like if I work to get those missmatches they shouldn't miss easy shots more often than not.

With PG's I feel like most should be able to get to the basket, and you'll see the difference in who can finish over defenders.Comment
