    Yoooo

I thought it was just how the CPU played when I saw 1 or 2 dunks in the POTD.

It's really that hard to just run up thru katz and dunk. Now wen we get a dunk, it really seems more... exciting

send me my 100k. I hit my 1st freethrow with shaq on the 5 attempt. I love how each players freethrow style impacts when to shoot. sick game!!!

gameplay- best ever- they removed the cheez 100%- no more lead passes through everybody right under the basket for an easy dunk, no more dunking on the entire team...i am loving it...and they got the "neutral outcomes" part down...in past years, it seemed like if the offensive guy was intent on doin something, the play would either lead to a basket, charge, steal or block, but now guys get locked up, lose their dribble, and simply have to pass it away

there are some rough edges, like jason williams looks like Freddie Krueger when they show his face at the FT line, but that kinda stuff i never really gave a poop about- as long as they nail the gameplay, i am cool with everything else (shoes, faces, how the jerseys flow, all that poop i never really pay much mind to)

i am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo impressed, just wish i could run with my pistons

              Re: Offical Demo Impressions

It took me about 4 iterations of the demo to get the control scheme down ( I always play with the B option), but once I got comfortable enough with the controls I was good. I'm still most likely going to play with option B when the retail version comes out.

Shaq's freethrows are hard to nail. I kept getting early release feedback. I don't know where the 'sweet spot' is for his animation.

Dual Player Control is a lil different this year. Has anyone figured it out yet?

I was able to run the break a little easier with Dallas then I was with Miami. I'm liking that. It definitely seems like team tendencies are more in play this year.

I love the risk/reward of the agressive block command. If you miss, your player stumbles off balance on his landing making it more difficult for him to recover for a second block attempt.

The scoring table 'animation' is in the game. You just have to manually sub a player in to see it.

fact! you can see this in the POTD with sixers vs nets watch how Jason Kidd brings the ball up the court compared to AI

im liking the textures on the skin you look at D Wades skin on his shoulder looks sweet! Ive seen sweat drip when Dirk was looking down on the free throw line...model wise it looks like they added more polys to the models...been playing 2k6 for the past few days and you can see the improvements from last years...

im off to play some more! good job VC

I thought some of the palyer models looked wierd and some of them were perfect. Jason Terry looks like a duplicate. While alot of the other ones looked wierd. Dirks hair is painted on and looks wierd. A Walker looks more turle-ish than in real life. Shaqs head is kind of wierd and skinny.Jason Williams looks wierd all together when zoomed in on. Don't get me wrong it looks good for the most part. This is my first next gen basketball game so I am being a little anal. THe lighting also looks off and makes some of the players look like they are glowing.

The gameplay is different. I'm coming from live on the xbox and it seems a lot more realistic. I haven't figured the controls out.

? Can you change camera angles in the complete version?

Yes! They have tons of camera angles. Read Steve's impression thread for the exact amount and types, can't remember off the top of my head.

Good news. I haven't read much about this game. iT is a little early for BB ball. Does anyone have any idea why it is coming out so early when they usually come out in october?

                            Loving it.

I can't believe I forgot much of 2K6's controls; going to take awhile to get back into the swing of things. I'm going to be spending a lot of time in practice mode - but I think that's a very good thing. Glad the demo's 4min instead of 2min. Trying to fit in more games before I have to go to work. But some quick impressions:

                            - The AI is smart. VERY smart. It seems to be really well done imo. All I'll say is don't pay too much attention admiring yourself; it'll make you pay. I've laughed at myself several times. You really have to work for dunks or layups - but when you're able to get to the hole, it's a great feeling.

                            - Dunks and layups are awesome; they did a fantastic job upgrading. Being able to get out on the break hasn't happened much for me, but when it has it's been extremely rewarding. Replay/saving replays is going to get used. A lot.

                            - I think being able to choose to attempt to use the backboard is going to add an excellent dynamic to shooting

                            - It's taking some getting used to the control scheme; not pulling off moves like I want. But think that's a matter of needing practice - I love that I'm going to need to "know" the team I'm using/how players shoot rather than just pick up and play with any team w/o thought.

There's a lot to the demo to learn, and much more I could say but have to get ready for work. CAN'T WAIT until this game drops.
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period
