I miss lebronze and his crazy topics.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Will we still have to press start to load the menu?
Great thread....while I don't play games but once or twice a week and this problem doesn't bother me much, if any at all, I do kind of see the point.
What if after you turned on your computer, you had to wait a minute, then press a button for it to continue to load up. Or with a car, what if after turning the key, and the car starting, you had to press a button for it to keep running...as if you are turning it on to make sure it works. Or if you put something in the microwave for 2:00 and after 1:00 had passed, it asked if you still wanted to let it go for the next minute.
Why is it necessary? Why would you start any of these things if your goal wasn't to go forward with it.
Is it life or death?, not at all, but it's kind of a needless process.
As far as the instant replays, it's all about $$$. Sprite is paying to be in the game, so 2K will exploit that as much as possible. I haven't played Live, so I don't know if theres are sponsored or not, but if they are not, then that probably explains the reason why.
I used to hate the intro videos for games for the fact that I would watch them once or twice and never again, but thought they were just a waste of disk space and creative time that could have been better spent on the actual game. Without even noticing, it seems like 2K has nixed them over the course of the last few years.Comment

Re: Will we still have to press start to load the menu?
Just think? You wasted like 4000 "start" button presses in the amount of letters youve typed in this thread.
I get your point, but its as meaningless as the issue itself.
Its the title screen man. Every game has one. Atleast 99.9% of them do. If it wasnt this it would be some intro your forced to watch. Atleast you can fly right by this way.Chicago Cubs

Re: Will we still have to press start to load the menu?
Because whenever you make a choice between two options (in this case having to press start and not having to press start) and you pick the least intelligent one, you have embraced mediocrity.
It is obviously more intelligent to have the menus load on their own, because 100% of people who launch the game want to play it. It is irrational to think that there exists a certain segment of the 2k7 playing population who would prefer the menus not load at all, and that they need to be protected by this "start safeguard."
Whoever you are that made this choice, I know you think you're being noble in protecting those who may not want the menus to load, but those people don't exist you f'ing moron!
LOL
sorry to rehash but kdre made the funnies threads topic and this part ws the funniest to me.
