Re: System Requirements for NBA 2k9 PC is confirmed...
I'm hoping to run NBA2k9 on my laptop, and it's looking discouraging for me.
This is what I've got:
XP SP2 Media Center Edition 2002
AMD Turion 64 single core.
2.01 Ghz 1.93 GB Ram
NVidia Ge Force Go 6150
Am I out of luck or are there some basic upgrades I can do?
Thanks for any advice.Comment

Re: System Requirements for NBA 2k9 PC is confirmed...
they'll probably make a patch that scales the game for all the laptop users. i doubt it will be too hard. basic laptops will play an enhanced xbox 1 version and people with a little better than basic (discreet graphics) will play a xbox 360 version. AA turned off should allow this. any laptop capable of madden 08 should be ok for a scaled-down version of the game. can't wait to buy this game i know their going to add online modes as a patch for those pc users that support them. this is the best nba game to ever touch the pc. bar none.Comment

think I'll be good to go with an Athlon X2 5000 dual core, 3gb ram and an overclocked Radeon HD 2600 Pro?Comment

Uh, sure, good to end up in the trash can.
Dude the g4 mx is like from 2002 you can't play any modern game with that, you need at least 2gig of ram these days and it wouldn't hurt if your cpu is 'newer' with two cores, your motherboard is probably, well more than probably, old as well.Comment

Just by booting into xp you loose 800 mb more or less, I know I have systats on the left of my screen that tells me cpu usage, memory and other stuff, 2 gigs is a minimum and his ram is probably slow too. If you are using vista then 4 gb is recommended, most people that bought a comp this year have 4 gb including myself I simply upgraded from two to four, before I had 2 gb and Vista would simply drain it now it's much better, exception is that if you have Vista 32 you don't need more than 3 gb because only 64 bit OS recognises and uses 4 gb or more.Comment
