Yeah you have to have someone cutting to the hoop or on the fastbreak to get those lobs. I was able to throw one to Chandler who was just standing near the hoop, but he was totally open... that was the only time I've hit someone who wasn't on the run. 90% of them that I get are on the break, which is when most oops occur. The Nuggets (especially Camby) were great at throwing the lob in a halfcourt set though... that SF Backdoor Cut play is actually similar to one that they run to get that look... they run it for K-Mart and Melo primarily.

I love the A.I defense! Every possession is important. Sim is the only way this year!!!!!

Nope, that will do a give-and-go, which is also useful. No way to choose a bounce pass as far as I'm aware, they're just contextual. Fancy pass is RT + A and alley-oops are LT + A.

At this point I feel like isomotion is an inside joke that everyone's laughing at cept me. I just can't get this down, I know the stuff Born is talking about in terms of spacing, etc is accurate but I still can't pull off these f'n moves in practice mode when I'm the only dude on the court. I'm not gonna quit, it'll click eventually damn it!

Question - how "violent" are you guys w. the stick when trying to perform these moves? Are you slamming the stick around or nice-n-easy?

Try standing still, facing the rim, ball in the right hand on 2k cam. Next, hold the right trigger. Move the left stick to 10:30, and hold it. You don't have to be violent with it, just move it to the correct position. Hold the stick in the proper position until the animation is almost finished.

I am able to do that, but that's about it. I also feel that even something as simple is just taping L2 or R2 (whatever it is, can't remember) isn't giving me the hesitation dribble, which was probably the easiest thing to do in 2K8.

Getting a lil better at isomotion. Spins are mad easy this year but its harder to do the crosses and step backs. I think you really have to take footplanting into account this year just like when you pull up for a j your feet have to be set for that smooth animation.

Go slow and easy with the stick, except on the cross over. On the cross over, overcompensate on the direction to make sure you're at a 45 degree angle. Here are some quick tips.

Move slowly in one direction so you are sure which hand has the ball before the move. There is too much switching on the dribbling this year.

Cross overs are 45 degrees, not left to right.

Hesitation Cross, Double Cross and In&Outs are Left/Right, NOT 45 degrees

For moves using both Triggers, Grab L Trigger first, then grab R and go into your move when you have a comfortable position.

The Spin Move is longer than everything else. Don't combo into it or out of it unless without being aware of the extra space.

Tap R Trigger moves are easy and effective

Watch the L Trigger change of pace. It will punish you for erratic L stick movement.

Try letting go of the L analog a little bit before doing an Isomotion move. This reduces the danger of accidental input.

When shooting jumpers, is the release for all the players different? Like say, do I hold the shot stick longer for one player while another player I can let off earlier? I can't hit jumpers consistently with anybody but Kobe and Fisher can't hit open 3s to save his life.

What's the secret to FTs, BTW? KB24 is the only one I'm good at them with.
