JBH3, I just wanted to tell you how much I love this game. You gave me an idea when you mentioned how you were going to work a 3 team trade with the Bobcats, Denver, and Philly sending Iverson to the Bobcats. Well, I attemped to work out a trade between these teams, but of course tried to get A.I. . It was kind of a crazy deal, but it was the only way I could get it to work. I was trading away Andre Miller and Iggy (and his crazy contract). I decided I could trade Iggy because I am a believer in Lou Willliams this season in my association. I was excited about a Lou-A.I. backcourt. Along with A.I., I would get Jarred Dudley (from Bobcats) in the deal. Iggy would go to Denver....Miller to Charlotte along with another Denver player.
Anyways, the trade offer declined because Iverson refused to waive his no trade clause! He does not want to even come back to Philly . Looks like we have burned our bridges and my dreams as a GM to bring A.I. back to philly are crushed.

I go to NBA.com and the top headline reads: A.I. blocks trade to Philly. I was like whoa! That was pretty cool....but at the same time I am hoping I didn't mess up Iggy's Morale since this trade offer got out to the media . I will have to have a coaches meeting with Iggy to ensure him that we want him to be in Philly forever and that the reports are not true! :wink:

Yea...I tried trading AI to Charlotte. Moving Mean Willie Green to Denver, and trying whatever I else I could w/o giving up J-Rich, Okafor, and Gerald Wallace from Charlotte to bring AI to the Bobcats.

There is basically no way to make this deal w/o including Andre.

I'm reluctant to trade him at this point...If by the deadline I'm still kinda sifting around .500 (current record 11-11) then I could maybe trade him under the premise that a young Louis Williams will bring an energy and a playmaking ability that Miller didn't/doesn't possess, and that the sixers do not plan on resigning Milier either. I'd put him on the trading block, and take the most reasonable deal for a team who needs a starting PG.

Thats cool that NBA.com posted that info about the voided Iverson deal.

I could'nt see trading Iggy though. I'm loving him in this game...some nights the J isn't there, but he is always good for a slash to the hoop and maybe an And1. I hope you didn't upset him....hey you can actually call a coaches meeting?

I would like more 3 pt shooting ability from the 2 spot, but I'm currently developing Thaddeus' 3 pointer so I'll get most my 3's from the SF pos.

My house rule is to ONLY develop rookies, and players under 22. Since Thad is only 20 I've got some yrs of develop w/ him. 08-09 is his 3, and sub-sequent yrs until he reaches 22 will be passing and defense.

Oh...and Kareem Rush is starting to pay dividends for me now that I've got his jumper down...Hes had 20 and 17 off the bench in his last two games.

Finally went ahead and started my association and decided to go with Dallas. I'm gonna try to send my man J.Kidd out on top with what has been dodging him for years....an NBA Championship.

Something trips it I just don't know what. 2 out of the last three times I've developed players I've lost the 4th quarter on the previous game. Sometimes it doesn't do it and I can't narrow down what trips it.

One time I was going into the 4th quarter down but ended winning. When the bug hit and zapped the 4th quarter it showed my win as a loss on the simscreen but didn't actually affect my overall record. So I'm thinking to myself well as long as it doesn't affect my record or stats I shouldn't care.

At this point I'm inclined to think that this bug doesn't affect records or stats but simply shows on error on the score summary and box score page. I'm unsure though because through 2 seasons I've been aware of this over the last few months.

i had this bug in 2k8 as well. what triggers it is when u develop a player after playing a game in ur association. when u do that in one session (without rebooting the game) then it wipes out the 4th quarter of ur last game played.

what i started doing to avoid this was start devoloping players when i first boot up the game and system. after that all was good. hope it helps!

Has anybody else seen any coaches get the boot yet, on my association Scott Skiles was fired from Milwaukee and they Hired Eddie Jordan from Washington.

In my first Association(started over) I seen Reggie Theus without a job(same year Phil Jackson retired) so i jumped on it and hired him.

well Odom wants a 6 year extension something like 20+mill a yr for the last 3 years of the deal. im considering just trading him for Gerald Wallace,Tayshun Prince or Mike Miller. cause at 29 i don't feel its a good idea to give Odom that kind of extension and i dont just want to let him Walk to FA.

Odom is sick coming off the bench(averaging 23 points, 7rebs, 7 ast), but that is alot of money to be giving to him. I started my Association over with RAZrs newest roster and heres how my team looks.

Fisher/Farmar/Yue
Kobe/Nick Young
Sasha/Nick Young/Trevor Ariza
Pau/Odom/Powe
Bynum/Turiaf

Ill probably let Odom walk, i could trade him for a pick but don't really need it, Sasha and Famar are going to be my starters and it doesn't hurt to have Nick Young come off the bench too, ima need the cap space anyways.

what level is everyone playing on in their association???

Just started my association today with the bulls and I am sitting at 0-1. Although Derrick Rose did have a great game with 20 pts and 14 asts. My question is how do I play with the Morale a little bit. I have Ben Gordon coming off the bench and Hinrich starting. Gordon is not too happy about this, how do I increase his morale?

I started over with the Bulls and went into rebuilding mode. I can't stand playing with Deng, and am not a big fan of Kirk. I traded Deng/Hinrich and 2 first rounders for Melo and a throw in.

I know I overpaid, but I did so to keep it realistic.

well i guess it adds some realism. Ill try my best to keep all my players happy. any tips on how to keep the subs happy on 9 min quarters? they cant possibly get a lot of minutes bc the games are too short

Id go with 10 minutes, i had the same problem with Sasha and Odom but at 10 minutes they are all happy.

I'm 3-2 with the Thunder right now. I'm surprised I'm doing so well. all of my wins have been by less than 6 points and I had to either make a clutch stop or a clutch shot. I also got very lucky against the Celtics as the big 3 were all injured.
