    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

"Team Superstar Killa" or "That's why they play the games"

Second night of a back-to-back, going into Phoenix after getting thumped in Denver, sporting a 1-6 record. Not looking good.

In the first quarter we are cold, but the Suns are glacial. They shoot 30% for the quarter and we lead 20-13.

We heat up in the second and they're still frigid. With seven minutes left in the second, Nash drives the lane, gets fouled hard by Arthur, and crumples to the floor, out for the game. The previous week we knocked out Kevin Martin of Sacramento.

The lead balloons up to 24, they make a run in the 3rd, the quarter where we always wet the bed, and get to within 6, but we weather the storm and pull away again to win 93-73. There was a Hamed Haddadi sighting as the Grizz improve to 2-6.

After the game its announced that Nash is out for 4-6 weeks with a broken ankle.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Ugh. I got smashed by the Rockets. Lost 120-100. I went down 10 early and never caught up. Yao dominates the inside and I have nobody to stop T-Mac. Hopefully I don't met these guys in the playoffs, I'll be dead.

I played the Cavs in my next game and it a good news, great news, and extremely bad news bad. The good news, I handled the Cavs easily and no longer fear going up against Lebron games. The great news, Morris Almond and Adam Morrison came off the bench to score a combined 37 points. And the extremely bad news...I lost Andrei Kirilenko. Strained achilles. Out 4-6 weeks. He went up for a lay-up, got hit from behind by Ben Wallace and crumpled to the ground. Just great. So, counting AK, I now have him, D-Will, and Dee Brown all out with injuries and CJ Miles playing through an injury. This game is trying to kill me, I think.

The game wanted me to start Paul Millsap at SF but that would leave me with no back-up for Boozer, so I'm going to keep Millsap as my sixth man and start Adam Morrison. I'm hoping to get D-Will back soon. But, for now, I'll push on while missing two starters.

Just lost a close one against the Sixers at home 119-115(I play as Chicago). Shot terrible from the field but was able to get to the free throw line which kept me in it. Right now I have Derrick Rose coming off the bench. That is soon to change though cause he is tearing it up for me. Noah and Gooden are rebounding like crazy, but can't score and just get torn up when the play someone like Brand.

I'm going to look for a low post threat around the trade deadline if I'm still in the playoff hunt. Hinrich is my best trade piece. Unloading him would also open up a spot for Rose to start. Hughes and Nocioni have big deals that I would like to unload if possible. I'm hoping to resign Deng in the offseason but if he continues shooting as poorly as he is I'm going to look elsewhere.

        I NEED A BIG MAN!!!
I WOULD TRADE EVERY GAME I OWN JUST TO HAVE A PERFECT MADDEN.....

Well, I've just gone on a five game skid... Mayo should be coming back after my next game against the Mavs. Rashad McCants is hardly filling the void, either... a big reason as to why I've lost five straight with Mayo out. Maybe I just can't find his release point and I don't know how to use him properly, but I'm thinking about shipping McCants and Darko to dump some salary.

Wow you have the Bulls' only good player on the team coming off the bench....that's unheard of! And here I am having Rose playing almost entire games.

And you don't have to resign Deng in the offseason as he just signed a 6 year 70 million contract in the offseason. So you're stuck with him lol

Well, as soon as I go off on about how garbage McCants has been for me... he goes off for 25pts in a ten point win over the Mavericks.

O.J. Mayo "healed from a severe injury" after the game, so my boy's back... and like I said, Darko and McCants were dealt to shed some salary to the Thunder for Kyle Weaver (league minimum) and Stromile Swift (expiring 1/yr, 6mill contract). I opened up about 12 million worth of space, and it turns out, I play a hell of a lot better with Weaver than McCants anyway. I will miss Darko's rebounding off the bench, but Swift was solid in his first game back with the Grizz.

                Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Just finished the first season of my Association. My New Jersey Nets beat the Spurs in the Nba Finals in a Game 7. It was amazing, Spurs were leading for the whole game until the last 4 minutes. I went on a huge one and came with the title. Vince Carter won Nba Finals MVP and also one the Regular Season MVP. He was named to All-Nba First Team and Devin Harris to The Second Team with Brook Lopez on the All-Rookie 2nd Team. Lawrence Frank also won Coach of the Year witha record of 54-28.
Then went on to the offseason. Many star players were in free agency this year but i didn't decide to sign anybody because i was looking for a good SF. I offered most of my players extensions with Chris Wilcox the only one declining one of my offers. I drafted a PF to replace his spot in the rotation but also look to sign LeBron next year.
Tonight i will play the first game in the 09-10 season.

17-13 in my Lakers Association. I know my record ain't great but I am 4th I think in the conference and 1st in my division so it's cool.

How do you guys have the injury sliders and things set? I don't like seeing all these injuries.

I created a young Jordan, put him on the Bulls, won 4 titles in a row letting the games play CPU v CPU. But when his contract is up he goes free agent and won't sign with me.

Is there a way to get young stars to re-sign?

I've knocked out one of the stars for another team. Manu goes down for 2-4 weeks with a separated shoulder, joining Kevin Martin and Steve Nash as players who have got wrecked against the Grizz. Mark Gasol and Darrel Arthur are the new McFilthy and McNasty.

You youngsters might have to Google those names to get the reference.

I'm using the Bulls and I'm 6-9. Just had a tough 118-115 loss to Utah. Rose is avaeraging 18-3-7. Deng is starting to heat up but Hinrich has really slowed down. I'm thinking about bringing him of the bench and putting Gordon in the starting lineup.

I'm just curious guys....who leads your league in scoring for the season? For me it's Kevin Martin at 30 points a game. I went back and looked at his recent games, and he was scoring in the 40's somewhat regularly.
