There is a limit, not sure what it is, and the more you change players' roles the more potential there is for them to get angry/morale drop - especially when downsizing their role.

-He's awesome but this was tough because D.J. Augustin is really good. I might use Augustin as trade bait because I don't need two good PGs. Why did the Bobcats draft D.J. IRL!?

They drafted him (DJ) because Felton wasn't progressing...DJ is supposed to compete w/ him, and push him to get better. I would rather have DJ anyways since he is a better scorer than Ray. Do a sign and trade now that you've inked Felton, and move on w/ the better/younger player in DJ.

No, I can't recall that I have, but thats awesome that you did...Sorry it ended up in you losing though...

    --------------------------------------------------------------

    In my 76ers Assoc...

Beat the Celtics Saturday night. It was definitely my first win of this magnitude. I completely blew them out from the 2nd Qtr on...

We finished the 1st tied at 20, and I turned the ball over 7 times in this qtrm (I would actually end up turning it over 21 times in this gm - the most in a game by me so far - but I also got Boston to turn it over 13 times).

I thought it was going to be a long night after all the 1st qtr TOs, but then in the 2nd I held them to 12 pts and scored 27 to take a 15 pt lead going into the half; this lead I would never lose either.

I ended up winning 94-74! Holding a team to 12 in one qtr, let alone being the Cetlics, was my biggest feat so far in NBA 2K9.

My D was rotating perfectly getting to the open man handing contesting the shot, and I had great D in the post on KG. Both KG and PP would have horrible nights shooting - they both got cold and could not get to the line. Perkins, Allen, and Rondo played good, but w/o getting anything from KG or PP Boston didn't stand a chance.

My stars carried me, and it was nice to see what this team can do/is capable of at full health.

Andre and Brand scored in double figures of course.

With Iggy finishing w/ 36 pts, 4 Reb, 4 Asst, 3 Stl, and 2 blocks...filling up the stat line like he usually does.

Elton was amazing on the glass...Grabbing 17 boards and scoring 28 too.

The only other player I had in double figures was sweet Louis Williams...He finished w/ 16 pts and 3-6 shooting from 3. Two of his 3's were critical late in the gm where Boston was a making a push to come back; they helped in extending the lead back into double digits.

This BIG win gives me my 1st win on a tough 6 gm road stretch which now heads out West. I'm a lot more confident that I can come away w/ wins against Dallas, Utah, and San Antonio now that I've put a hurtin' on Boston in Boston.

Draft & trades will be posted sometime...
      Continuation:

      Pre-draft Trade:
      CHA sends:
      C Nazr Mohammed (75)
      OKC sends:
      2009 2nd-round pick (#32 overall)

*Charlotte has Okafor at center and Alexis Ajinca is going to step up and be the #2 option at that position. We get Nazr's contract off the books and can target a PF in free agency.
*The Thunder don't have a center on their roster and this gives them at least one decent NBA center. They have plenty of cap room to still go after some FA's in the offseason. ($19.88M)

      NBA Draft:
#14 - PF Lewis Hicks | 71 OVR, is going to get some good PT at PF
#32 - PG Todd McDonald | 66 OVR, looks terrible!
      #47 - C Brendan Sparks | 65 OVR, roster filler

      Charlotte FA Signings:
      PF Stromile Swift (72)
2 year deal + 1 year player option
      $3.63M | $4.00M | $4.39M

      Notables:
Portland signed PG Steve Nash to a 2-year deal. Portland also signed SF Ron Artest toa 5-year deal. They are the favorites by far!
      PG - Nash
      SG - Roy
      SF - Artest
      PF - Aldridge
      C - Oden
Bench: Bayless, Blake, Rodriguez, Fernandez, Outlaw, Webster, Przybilla

Utah signed PF Charlie Villanueva to a 4-year deal after Boozer left.
LA Lakers signed PF Hakim Warrick to a 5-year deal.
Dallas signed PF Chris Wilcox to a 4-year deal.
Detroit signed PF Lamar Odom to a 4-year deal.
Oklahoma City signed PF Carlos Boozer to a 5-year deal. (My trade with them helped them out because Mohammed is starting but they drafted a C with their #2 pick. Nazr=75 Rookie=74.)
Oklahoma City also signed SF Shawn Marion to a 4-year deal.
Miami signed SG Nate Robinson to a 5-year deal.
Detroit signed SG Rashad McCants to a 4-year deal.
LA Clippers signed C Mehmet Okur to a 5-year deal.
Utah signed C David Lee to a 5-year deal.

      2009-2010 Roster:
      PG Raymond Felton (83)
      SG Jason Richardson (87)
      SF Gerald Wallace (87)
      PF Stromile Swift (74)
      C Emeka Okafor (88)

*This is one athletic group right here. We are going to get up and down the court in a hurry.

      PG D.J. Augustin (81)
      PG Todd McDonald (68)
      SG Matt Carroll (76)
      PF Lewis Hicks (73)
      PF Andre Brown (69)
      C Alexis Ajinca (73)
      C Brendan Sparks (67)

*Extremely weak bench. I'm really lacking a true 6th man scorer type. Augustin is pretty good, Carroll can shoot, and Hicks has some upside. I hope Ajinca can play well when he gets in but defensively I think I'm going in the tank when this unit comes out.

I get the Phoenix Suns my first game without Steve Nash, but Barbosa is no chump!

Wow Portland is looking very formidable. I'm curious to know how they do in your association w/ Nash feeding it to Oden; keep us posted. Thanks for listing all the FA moves the CPU teams made too...

Man...Utah was stupid not to re-sign Boozer or Okur.

Keep me posted on how OKC does in your association now too...Durant, Boozer, Marion, and Westbrook along w/ Nazr make a pretty nice starting 5.

What's OKC's overall rating now w/ the new guys?

            Atalanta Hawks-fantasy draft.

            season 1
            5-24
            starting 5
            pg-Shaun Livingston
            sg- Ray Allen
            sf-Battier
            pf-Wilcox
            c-Haywood

bench-Crittenton, Reddick, Turiaf, Hibbert, Devean George, Tim Thomas,
bench warmers- Damon Jones, Jared Jeffries

            end of season 1
couldnt resign Shaun Livingston, so I picked up Blake who was ranked higher, signed him to a 3 year deal worth 14 million. Didnt resign Haywood, cut Damon Jones, traded Jared Jeffries for a player I immediately cut. had the number 4 pick and drafted a PF.
didnt renew Woodson's coaching contract. Hired Eddie Jordan to a 3 year contract.

            season 2
            currently
            3-10
picked up Shaun Marion in free agency(mid level exception), traded Blake about 8 games into the season for Alston who's contract expires at the end of the season along with Marion, Wilcox and Reddick. I only plan to resign Wilcox. find a sf in free agency, draft a sg with hopes of developing him into a quality starter to replace Allen.

            starting 5
            pg-Rafer Alston
sg-Ray Allen (productivity has dropped off substantially)
sf-Marion (good acquisition, but will not resign, due to his weird signature shot. Ive lost about 3 games due to his poor free throw shooting. I cant master his sig shot)
            pf-Wilcox
            c-Hibbert

bench- Crittenton, Reddick, Battier, George, Tim Thomas (trying to trade), Turiaf, Obryant,

              Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Lost the first three games of the season. Traded Al Harrington and Marcus Williams to the Grizzlies for Hakim Warrick. Waived Anthony Morrow. Won the next 10. Lost Corey Maggette (4-6 weeks) and Monta Ellis (2-4 weeks) to injury in the same game and the same quarter on the same layup animation. I've gone 1-9 since, with the only win coming against the Knicks. And I just lost Andris Biedrins for about 4-6 weeks with a separated shoulder in my last game - a loss to the Rockets.

So my team currently looks like this:

              PG - CJ Watson
              SG - Kelenna Azubuike
              SF - Stephen Jackson
              PF - Hakim Warrick
              C - Ronny Turiaf

              6Anthony Randolph
              7Brandan Wright
              8Marco Bellinelli
              9Richard Hendirx

*Monta Ellis (Severe Ankle Sprain, 1-2 weeks)
*Corey Maggette (Severe Ankle Sprain, 2-4 weeks)
*Andris Biedrins (Separated Shoulder, 4-6 weeks)

                  random tidbits in my association

                  I'm 19-17 with the Bucks

the Bobcats are the best team in the east with a record of 22-14. the Lakers are the best in the west (24-9)

Hornets traded Posey to Orlando for Turkoglu, lol

Ben Gordon was traded to Portland for Travis Outlaw and a #1 pick. A couple games later, he was traded to Memphis for Mike Conley. I turned the trades off after that. Memphis is the worst team (6-29)

AI (still in Denver) leads the league in scoring averaging 30. He scored 69 points against Dallas shooting 24-40. Carmelo is the only player on Denver that shot more than 5 times that game, 29 points (11-22).

LBJ averages 29.6 PPG 9.1 RPG and 7.9 ASG

                    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Alright, I just finished my first month in my Utah Jazz association. I went 12-6 and finished on a four-game winning streak. D-Will played 3/4ths of the month with a sprained wrist so that kinda sucked. My stats look like this:

                    Scoring:
D-Will: 18.8 PPG (Dropped a little right after his injury, but then had a few big scoring games to end the month.)
Boozer: 17.8 PPG (Is slowly raising up every game, his mid-range jumper is money and he's a beast downlow.)
Okur: 13.3 PPG (Sadly, he's dropping down. I've been scoring more with Ronnie Brewer and Boozer, which is leaving Okur and AK with less touches.)

Nothing special going on with the rebounds. Boozer leads my team with 7.3 RPG. D-Will is getting 9.9 assists per game, which would be higher if not for his injury which limited his mintues in two games. Kosta Koufos is still a monster off the bench for me, getting 10.4 PPG and 4.1 RPG.

Around the rest of the league, the Nuggets are in 1st in the West with me .5 games behind. The Heat are 1st in the East with the Bobcats, Pacers, and Bucks all .5 games back. The Celtics are 9-10. The scoring leaders surprise me a bit, Kobe is first with 29.3 PPG, but in second is Rudy Gay with 27.6 PPG and in third is Kevin Durant with 27.0 PPG. Mike Conley got traded to the Nets for Jarvis Hayes and Yi Jianlian. I've played both those teams since the trade and I don't really see why it was done. The only other trade was Linas Kleiza going from the Nuggets to the Suns for Grant Hill. Nuggets ripped them off there. No wonder why they have the best record in the league. I can't wait to play them again. But that doesn't happen for a few months.

I'm pretty happy with my team right now. Deron is finally healed from his injury, everybody is happy for the most part, and baring another injury, I should be taking over first place in a few games.

3rd season in my bulls (2nd started to get better sliders and better play.) I basically after the first season unloaded a lot of guys...only guy I kept was Noah. Everyone else....buh bye.

2nd season, had a horrible season after a 41-41 season. Won 20 games, traded Kirk for a expiring that I was offered. This would leave me going into my snd offseason with the #2 pick and 20sumthing cap room. Of course picked up Rose's option, picked up Noah's. Resigned McDyess and Finley both signed in the first season...everyone else especially Hughes and his stupid 13mil contract, bye.

Lol I got real REAL excited when I saw that Lebron Opted out...you don't know how excited I was. I was real close to not signing my rookie just so I could throw tons at him. I signed him, good thing because Lebron just opted out to get a better contract from Cleveland. Not much was out there in the '10 FA, Nash, Amare, Lamarcus, Ray Allen

My starting lineup for my 3rd season

                                PG- Rose/ no backup PG
                                SG- Finley/ 2009 12th ovr pick
                                SF- Deng/ Noce/ Mcdyess
                                PF- Amare/ 2010 2nd ovr pick/ Mcdyess
                                C- Noah/ Tyrus

Lamarcus, Allen, and Nash all signed back with their teams.

IDK what i'm going to do with backup PG, possibly nothing, Rose plays tons of minuntes and I don't want to use the rest of my cap because the team is still good as it is. It's going to be fun going up against the Pistons in my chise...their roster is (Billups/Rip/Boozer/Sheed) lost Tayshuan to the Clippers in FA.

BTW first season Pistons won the chip and next season Hornets. You have to turn chemistry off, in my first kinda experimental chise...the Pacers and Hawks were the teams to win rings in the 4 seasons...Pacers won it 3 times in 4 years...and their roster was nothing special. In fact they won two of those rings WITHOUT TJ Ford as he left for more money and Granger was the only all-star on that team...the Team Chemistry thing IMO makes the playoffs way too competitive and overpower teams.
