The player of the month / week awards are glitched in my game. One week Javaris Crittendon and Mikki Moore won the player of the week award despite Critt only averaging 3 ppg and Moore having never played a minute.

Ok, now after 4 times through this mode playing as many as 25 games a couple times and over 30 in this one the text all of a sudden showed up there.

Same happened to me. I won player of the month (probably undeserved) one month then the next month those 2 get it and they both have 2 games played so far this season. Critterton has 6 points and 1 assist and is a 3/7 shooter. Moore has 1 rebound and is 0/1 from the floor. Those seem like player of month type numbers.

I am only 9 games into my NBA season but I just had a monster game scoring 24 pts with 21 boards. Has anyone got the 25 board milestone?
Finally got it. Had 14 in the first quarter and 20 in the first half and by the end I didn't think they were going to play me enough in the 2nd half to let me get it but I finally got #25 with about 2 minutes left. You get 2500 points for that so between that and the game I got enough to bump my ratings up quite a bit. I am a 67 now and probably close to a 68.

Nice, I almost got it again today with having 18 boards at the half. By the end of the 3rd quarter I had 21 and then the coach pulled me as we were destroying the other team by 20 plus. I finished with 22 boards. Almost there though and thats without having touched my rebounding skill. I have vert and strength at 90 though so that may have helped me a lot.

By the way I am about 15 or more games playing in the NBA and yet my 10 day contract never turned over to an actual contract. I am basically playing with the 76ers for free I guess. Is there a place where you can check out your contract and such?

Hey whizer17, or anybody else, I currently have a big rebounding centre who just got through training camp and now I'm with the Kings. I'm just wondering what would be the best to put my skill points on. I was thinking of getting up vertical, and also dunk since I could probably get easier buckets if I could dunk it more when I grab a board. Is standing dunk worth it? It's currently at 50.

All I have been working on is my vertical (90), Strength (90), Low Post offense (70, so I could get new animations), dunk (79, working my way up to shaq's dunk animations), and standing dunk (70). Of course I bump up some others with extra stuff but overall my guy is a beast. I am averaging 13 and 13 although I have had a lot of games where I have 20 or more boards.

Thanks. Also, I seem to be missing quite a few very, very close shots to the basket, such as on putbacks and from passes. What would help my percentages with this? Are these "layups"? Or should I put em on the shot that is underneath the basket (forgot the name)? Or shooting in traffic?

*not taking into account your shot release through this*

Its a combination of layup / dunk + shooting in traffic. Your pure rating takes into account what your doing say your wide open on a break for a layup, its going to take into account your layup number and use only that number to go into the calculation of the shot going in.

Now lets say you are driving twords the hoop with some traffic; its going to take into account your layup rating + your shot in traffic rating to calculate the odds of the shot dropping.

So taking that to the question at hand if your picking up a board and going for the putback its going to look at your dunk vs. layup (depending on the position in relation to the glass) and make a check against your vert as well and check your shot in traffic + close shot and factor in your hands rating for a potential swat as well as a few other variables.

So in my players case I decided to start with everything related to layups: layups, shot in traffic, vert, shot off dribble. I might be missing one or two since I dont have the game on atm but you get the jist.

From there (depending on position) I started dumping points into dunk and then shots coming out from the hoop building a solid short range game and working my way to getting a solid mid range game as well.

I suppose I have rambled on more then enough so in short I guess you could think of it this way: ANYTHING needed to do with what you want to do at any spot on the floor the game takes into account all your relative numbers and comes up with the % of the shot dropping based off your release type.

I dont remember if someone in here had mentioned this or not but do we get 10 more drills once we get into the playoffs?

Thanks a lot Eclipso. But just one more thing I need some help with. At the moment, I can back down on a defender and do a spin, and sometimes I can get very very close to the basket, into the restricted area. The only problem is that I cant seem to finish the move with a dunk. I have tried shootaround and I can definitely dunk from there, so it must be the defender in the way. What do you think I would need to upgrade to allow me to finish with a dunk over the defender (who usually cant even get a hand up in time anyway)? I have 55 dunk, 66 standing dunk, 55 shoot in traffic, 60 shot inside, 82 vertical and 64 strength.

                          Cheers

I have been working on raising my shooting and I think it has helped a lot for driving.

                            Speed: 99
                            Quickness: 90
                            Shot Inside: 95
                            Shot In Traffic: 90
Lay-up: 80 (working on getting it to 90)

I have been shooting at .680% and averaging 28 points in the past 10 games

If your player is still in motion when it "decides" not to dunk then I would bump up your vert till say 85 then bump up your dunk to atleast 70.

I just started consistantly being able to dunk on / over people last night just raised my dunk to an 85 from the 80 it was at prior.

speed 99!!!! I just got my speed to an 80 last night since the cost on it is a bit high, I do need to work on my quickness but have been putting it off, its still to low.
