I have a PF and I don't have a problem with it, but I could see how it could be an issue - especially if you are just starting a new player. I'm established and in the semi-finals, so my teammates will pass to me and I actually get them to pass out of bad plays and they will free style if things break down, so I'm not sure what that ny20 guy is complaining about in that regard.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Furthermore, I'm on the 360 but I don't want to risk it so after every game I check to see if the Raptors are interested. I'm just waiting on it because that's all I want out of My Player mode right now lol
Oh! And one last thing, has anyone noticed the crowd energy?? We played Utah at home at we were down 16 at halftime, and 21 at a point in the 3rd quarter. I noticed when we were down from 15-21 points, whenever we scored the crowd barely made any noise, but the more we scored and caught up the more nuts the crowd went and for longer periods of time. After I hit a 3 to put us back into the lead with 3 minutes left, the crowd was so loud I barely heard the announcer, and they kept this up for all of Utah's possession and even a bit into ours! It was nuts it even got me more pumped as we caught upComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Some of us actually know the game of basketball and are aware of where we need to be without the CPU telling us, which is why we're upset that we're being force fed these trash plays now. I feel sorry for anyone on a team with a completely crumby playbook because I can't imagine it's fun to run crap play after crap play and lose no matter what effort you're putting in yourself.
Get up to Floor General and you can take over anyways, and I'd imagine players at other positions that get the Floor General title will also now be able to call plays. My stats are probably better than they were and I average around a triple-double as a PG. And I'm not even the Floor General yet because I play with Baron Davis.I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
This mode is really running the spectrum between super annoying and down right cheating to the greatest mode I have played in a sports game.
You can really see how the game goes about difficulty when playing. Here is what makes the game unrealistically difficult. And you can just look at the stats by themselves you have to take into account a lot of things.
Yeah, the CPU might shoot a low 30% from the field but they always seem to grab that rebound for a put back. Might go 3-11 from 3 point range but what does it matter when they average 8-10 And 1's a game. I have never seen so many *** **** And 1 in anything related to basketball. CPU makes 10 shots in a row and the once they do missed are rebounded for a put back it makes it impossible to catch up.
Now as far as your team mates AI, I find the offensive for the most part to be decent. Rose hits his shots, Boozer gets rebounds and dunks plus throws some low post moves in. Its the damn defense that looses all the game for you.
T. Young? 30 points. Speights? 20 points 10 rebounds. Ben Wallace post moves over boozer? Seen it. Steve Blake drops 15 asst and 20 points? Regularly. I find it funny when the theyr says that Channing Frye is average 6 points a game coming in but more than triples it by half time.
Its the AI defense that makes me want to toss my controller out the window. If I have to see Adam Morrison hit another fade away 3 points as the shot clock is running out I am going to break the disc in half.
Also, I am 2 years in leading the league in scoring and have yet to get my jordan shoes or a 2nd billboard. I am rated 90 overall for petes sake.
One more thing...STOP EFFING HOLDING ME. I am glad that they added an animation for people making cuts around the court but for the love of god I dont want to go through it 4 or 5 times when simply trying to walk from the block to the 3 point line. I wouldnt mind if I got a foul once and a while but simply grabbing me 3 times in one possession is not defense its illegal. Especially since I cant figure out how to do the same to the CPU.Last edited by Sood; 11-26-2010, 11:41 AM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
See, I'm of the opposite school of thought. If it's not a play I called, that doesn't mean I should just do whatever I want. My teammate or my coach called the play.
Get up to Floor General and you can take over anyways, and I'd imagine players at other positions that get the Floor General title will also now be able to call plays. My stats are probably better than they were and I average around a triple-double as a PG. And I'm not even the Floor General yet because I play with Baron Davis.
It's when the team calls the same exact play for an entire quarter (particularly the one that sends your center to the 3 point line when the ball is released from the free throw line) that bugs the living hell out of me. Why would ANY team do that? You can't tell me that mixing it up isn't smart.
Oh, and yeah I have floor general on my small forward. Unfortunately for me though when I call a play, about half way through it I get "Holding Ball Too Long" and a huge grade deduction. I can't call plays off ball either, unless someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong there (anyone as a floor general able to call plays off ball?).
With the CPU actually setting screens without me calling for them on my SF they have been feeding me the ball for ~40 shots a game post patch, ~40/~45 shots taken come from my SF. That's a far cry from ~30/~50 pre-patch. So it's not that I want to "cheese it" or "make easy buckets" or "make it unrealistic"; I just want to play like a real legit basketball team. Not "Feed the guy who avgs 34.5 ppg vs 2nd place's 12.3 ppg". I want to watch once in awhile, I don't want to be the only one actively participating.Last edited by nry20; 11-26-2010, 03:35 PM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
this happened in 2k10 as well...i havent yet gotten anyone of my opponents into foul trouble post-patch but it was a bit unfair when you're in overtime and it's a close game....fouling out does affect your player so if you get 6, you'll be on the bench the remaining minutes comparative to your opponents who are still playing with 6Last edited by -ENiGMA724-; 11-26-2010, 03:36 PM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
trying out this adjustment thingy you supposedly can do before starting my player mode(i traded lebron back to the cavaliers)
once i get drafted by a team, i'll check the cavaliers roster to see if he's there....
even if this works, there's obviously no guarantee that you'll land on the team that you're making the actual adjustments to or on the same team as the player that that you edit from the main menuComment

Honestly the guy I quoted described this better than I can, but it's just ridiculous, and at times makes me want to rip the disc apart and figure out what the hell is going on. I've tried every different difficulty/slider setting from all star and up. No change. Ben Wallace in the post? Cash. Anderson Verajao fade away post move from 15 feet? Absolutely money in the bank every *** **** time. Give me a break. I remember first experiencing this when James Edwards went something like 14 for 15 in the Jordan challenge vs the pistons. He hit every single post move no matter what. Double teamed? Raise up and hit the J. No double? Then just like every other player in the post he magically transformed into Hakeem Olajuwon. This is the only thing that truly bothers me about this game right now. Has anybody else been experiencing this?Last edited by brillo7676; 11-26-2010, 05:29 PM.Comment
