Ok... I'm seriously thinking I need to invest in clutch. Every game with double XP my shot has been lousy. Even if I'm wide open, my shot is missing. My player leads the league in FG percentage because I'm very selective with my shots. I don't get why my player is missing so much if not the clutch. Is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone put points in clutch?

"Okay, here's the story. I come from the gutter. I know that. I got no education... but that's okay. I know the street, and I'm making all the right connections. With the right woman, there's no stopping me. I could go right to the top."

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
For anyone that plays an SG or SF, or anyone else that has problems with post-patch touches and role relevance, I am going to work on some options I have heard from these boards. I will report back to hopefully help others enjoy the challenges of playing these positions.
1) Try off-ball pick calling to get PG's called play stopped: I hope this will allow more free play and touches for my 49 overall SG. May also allow me to try to pick for ball carriers adding to teamwork score
2)Dunk is...gone: with dunking much harder to do (i read a post that until it hits around 90 does it start working more predictably), I plan to get my teamwork score up by grabbing boards.
3) Work the boards: The new patch seems to suck me up into more boxouts, but I plan to work the key area and see if I can up boards, more specifically Offensive rebounds, as this give me a chance to put back and get some points and/or fouled.
I will play a few more games trying these and report back. Thanks to Enigma and others that have put through suggestions. I love the SG position so I am going to find a way to make it work.
offensive rebound:
seems like when you walk without turbo you get less sucked into being boxed out(sort of like when you're trying to move left or right with a guy who's playing tough on-ball defense and he keeps bumping you)...just casually move around the defender before the ball is shot upLast edited by -ENiGMA724-; 11-27-2010, 07:03 PM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Tony K from PTI said a joke a while ago.
"They should just named the MVP award, the LeBron James Award and give it to everyone else"
I chuckle at that every time I view the award races in this game. James pretty much defaulted to win it more matter what else is happening in the league. In my game there are 3 people average more points (I lead the league with 34 a game a full 10 points ahead of number 2) and they all have comparable rebounds, asst, etc etc yet he is still number 1.
The heat were the last team before I ended the regularly season and I held him to 10 points. Hell the press conference even made it a point to say I really frustrated him tonight holding him to his lowest output of the season. Yet he is still number 1.
I also remember being 4 or 5 years into my *** and he has won like 4 straight.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Has anyone found that My Player is now unbearable post patch? Why the f**k does the AI keep calling the same plays over and over again. The MP has lost it's freestyling feel and now feels so stale. Anyone found any solutions to turn MP into what it was before?Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Ok im finding rebounding far to easy now, just got my third triple double with two of those coming in my last 2 games. Decided it was about time i went for the 50 point milestone and got it in a key game against the bulls and Derrick RoseMy player: 6'2 scoring PG / Indiana Pacers (Season 1) / Overall 62Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
So, i'm making a new player and i'm kinda rushing the pre-draft games. My question is, will my 10000 skill points carry over for when i'm picked by an NBA team?Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Getting picked in the first round is an Achivement/Trophy.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
They carry over. If you have the achievement already for first round, save them for when you hit the NBA. My current MP is an SG and I did not spend any points until after drafted. I was drafted in the 1.9 slot. As a 39 overall!! But, that was prepatch. Would be nearly impossible as an SG post patch.Comment
