I started my first career after finally getting this game. It is awesome. I created a 6'8 SF 3 PT specialist. I didn't have the success in the Combine and Summer League that some others have had so I got drafted in the second round by the Knicks. I've played 12 games and have finally gotten the hang of it. I've scored in double figures in 3 of my last 4 games. I'm only a 46 overall but I am the 6th man.

BS! Yao Ming got fouled out of the game with 4 minutes left, but he stayed in. Ended up costing me a game, because we couldn't stop the cpu cheese with Yao Ming.

That's happened to me. In one game, Speights of the 76ers fouled out but stayed in, and Landry Fields did that in another game too.

In my player,Amare was traded to the Nuggets for Kenyon Martin and Ty Lawson

So, looks like this might be happening to everyone who is on the Knicks in My Player. Realy unusual.

So I'm in my second season in My Player mode, but I just learned today that your player can lose points. I went to spend my skill points and realized that I had lost a point in 3pt shoooting, medium shooting, dunk, and layup. Was this just because I had a bad shooting game or what? I normally shoot over 50% but I had my worst game and shot only 38% and 31% from downtown. Do you always lose points whenever you have bad games? Do you gain points from good games?

Is there anyway to get your potential up? Every MyPlayer I start his potential is at 53.

I was an athletic PG and I wasn't able to get my block rating above 60. I want to be swatting shots on guys with dredlocks. I don't want to play entire seasons and only have the potential of some scrub role player.

That rating is meaningless in this mode. If you can no longer put points into an attribute, it's because it has been maxed for your position and type. I think they made the Potential a 53 to keep your trade rating low enough for the CPU GM's to make deals.

the only time i have ever seen a deduction or an upgrade in stats that wasnt done by myself was during the off-season due to the progression of your player...

On my newest My Player I got drafted 7th to the Pistons... 6'0 165 Scoring PG (imma Allen Iverson fan) but we suck... my stats are good but we get blown out on a nightly basis

Decided to take a little break from my Association and played a bit of My Player today. I normally hate it, cos my guy sucks, but I played 3 games and played great in all 3. Got my first double double, plus a career high 21 points as well. Pretty happy with the development of my guy now, about 10 games into the season with Boston up next.
