Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I just had probably my best game yet (ironically right before a key game).

I played my least favorite team in the NBA, the Lakers, and was matched up against Kobe most the game. I ended with 46 points, 19 rebounds, 17 assists, 4 steals, 5 blocks, 3 turnovers. I hit a three to put us up one with about 10 second left. Kobe hit a jumper to put them up one with about 6 seconds left. I then hit a shot with 1.6 seconds left to put us up one, and Kobe missed the game winner (so technically, I made the game winning shot and was credited as such).

I was beginning to think that, "yes", it could be because of that. I'm kind of seeing a pattern here.

Had my best ever against the t'wolves after a few weeks of saving up skill points i increased nearly all things espicailly rebounding to try and big up that average.I had 29 points, 12 rebounds, 14 assits and had my first triple double. i also completed all 3 objectives which were 8 basketds inside paint and force mathcup to make 6 turnovers i did these easy.only annoying thing was that ive had a week where there was 2 key matchup games and a key game so that makes it a little irratating

I'm also a C on a struggling Bulls team during my first season (20 games in), but I'll wait and see how the season ends before I read into too much.
I agree. Im sure its harder for Big Men in my player. I play PG and I start out with the ball, control the game and dont wait for my stupid teammates to just stand there and shoot with 3 sec left on the clock. I call for the ball and make up my own plays. If you're a big man, you are under the burden of following an AI PG and at higher diff levels those guys are as smart as a bag of peanuts.

It could be. I play a SF. I think out LaMarcus Aldridge is shooting decently but that's about it. Maybe it's because our point guard sucks too.

I could ask for a trade but I love playing in the Rose Garden. I feel like gutting it out for one season and see what we get next year. Doesn't look like we're gonna make the playoffs this year anyway.

Same exact thing here. I could leave but I like playing for the Kings. I'm going to do the same, wait it out, see who we get, and go from there. We're out of the playoffs badly with 14-38 record. smh

Anyone else getting annoyed at how bad your teammates are. They take the worst shots possible, miss the easiest shots too.

It's annoying seeing my team shooting barely 40% for the entire game when I'm on the court(my guy shoots around 50%) and when the game gets simmed for when my guys on the bench, they score like crazy.

Some of the worst FG% in the league are all from my team and somehow with 10 minute quarters, my team is barely averaging more points per games than the other teams who I made sim with 8 min quarters. Averaging barely over 70 points in 40 minutes is real bad.

Most of the last few pages of posts are about this. So yeah, some people are annoyed.

Bench. Plays maybe 4 min a game. The last MYP that got corrupted was a C too but DCuz started at PF until we got KLuv. This time around with my new guy it's me and Dalembert as the bigs.

Like I said before, I'm very early in my season so I can't really judge what the situation is with my Bulls. With such a good nucleus (Rose, Boozer, Noah), I'd be a fool to want to leave. But all of these losses and no real chemistry is starting to weigh on me. Plus reading what others are saying is really making me wonder where the successful big men are and what did they do to make things work.

A lot of complaining going on and it is mostly by those who have created a big man. If you are a wing player you have to run the plays and wait for your opportunity or simply call off the play and cut to the basket or simply find ways to get open ... your point guard will hit you if you're open.

I've mentioned before but ever since I got traded from Portland to the Knicks I am loving My Player. I've lost interest in online leagues lol... I am just trying to get this Knicks to the Playoffs and go from there. I have won Rookie of the Month twice now one as a member of the Blazers and now this month as a member of the Knicks. I've also scored 40 points in back to back games vs the Celtics and Magic.

I don't know how but the Knicks keep trading players I hate and acquiring players I like in real life (DeAndre Jordan, Francisco Garcia, Kenyoon Dooling) so right now it seems as if I was playing with a team I would build in a fantasy draft out there... I am loving it.

I'm the PG from Miami and most of the time this game drives me crazy. We score 100 Point against Boston and lost 100-101. We score 99 against the Pacers and lost 99-126! We score 103 against the Wizards and lost 106-103.

It seems that my teammates can't defend anymore. I average 20,5 PG, 7.6 Reb, 9,2 As but every opponent scores against us at will. It is not funny anymore.

I play on Allstar and standard because in my first Season (Bucks) on simulation the FG% was like 30%-35% for both teams. And it was even lower from beyond the arc (the bucks shot 28% average). I change it to standard and the FG% was a lot better. Unfortunately most of the time only for the CPU (they always shot near and over 50% from the field. my Bucks-Team shot 38% average).

I love my Player but it feels like something isn't right. Do i have to score 60 Points every game to overcome this stupid defending and outscore my opponent? Come on, i have Wade, and James and Bosh. I don't want to take a hole lot of shots. Right now i'm taking 14-18 shots a game and feel fine with it. It should be no problem winning games if only my teammates would play some defense. Why can they just play some defense? It is so terrible.
I've never been afraid to fail.
