well I finally started this sunday. Made a Athletic Pg cause of the speed rating. had a great combine including dropping 40 on john wall. got drafted by thunder in rd 1.

played about 15 games working myself up the 6th man spot getting 28 mpg. avg 21 ppg , 6 rpg, 3apg off the bench. requested a trade with hopes of landing on the blazers or the kings the two teams with plenty talent but lack a pg via talent or age. Blazers pulled the trigger on me one game after I lit them up for 28 &12. they bring me in right away as a 6th man getting 31mpg. hopefully I can push miller for the starting job cause the Rose Garden be rocking as far as atmosphere go. would hate to go to dull place to get a starting spot.

but after 2 days of On &off play im a 55 overall and climbing.

Ended up beating ATL in the 1st round winning the series 4-1. Next is Chicago which is a rivalry game (Bucks) which lets me net 2x points each game. We end up taking the first 3 games with game 2 winning by a failed 3 by Antawn Jamison (traded to Bulls). The other 2 games were blowouts. Then game 4 we ended up being pounded by the AI to make a game 5.

Hope to finish out Chicago tonight and looks like we'll be playing the Pacers or Knicks in the conf finals.

A litle help please.

Can any body guide me to good sliders.

I am thinking about starting my player mode over agian because, I am having an insane amount of contact from the cpu when I try to go in the lane.I move left they move left and bump animation start.Matter of fact anywhere I move the cpu mirrors it.

Am I the only on having a hard time getting the ref to call a foul?I mean I get bump shoved and pulled going in the lane but no whistle.

Also it seems that the cpu players are smart and know what to do while my guys just fiddle there thumbs.

I get blown out by Orlando almost every game during the season.Howard is a best in the low post and on glass but, when I finally get traded to Orlando the team can't make a shot or grab the boards to save there lives.
I know there good because they always used to deliver an whooping on my Thunders.

Sliders for my player? not possible...

All you can choose is difficulty level and how your game is sounds about right for all-star/superstar difficulty. The AI will play 10 times better than your guys and its hard to get contact calls on your end. My advice is to be patient and run plays your familiar with in the beginning until you start to level up your guy. There are a couple good guides on how to build players at certain positions and what skills you should develop first. Plus, my player starts out very tough so you can change to easier difficulty until your skills are better.

I know its frustrating to miss a contact layup and see someone like earl watson hitting one on the other end....

HOW ON EARTH DO YOU DUNKS IN TRAFFIC???

I have maxed out dunks and vertical, unlocked the Jordan package, I want to do some dunks in traffic.

Every time I try to run past my opponent he bumps me a bit and it results in a contact layap.

How on earth do you pass your man? I'm doing some basic isomotion moves but every touch from him results in me losing my dribble or, as I said, doing a contact layap.

What else do I need to raise to be able to do some dunks in traffic?

Do you guys dunk in traffic?

It's driving me crazy. I'm trying to endure this broken **** of a mode, so as to be able to dome some impressive dunks for fun.

Advice is desperately needed.

So my team just lost it's 8th straight game. Blown out by the heat. My team mates can't hit the broad side of a barn. Team 3pt% is at a league low 29%. The funny thing is they're shooting better at default than at Sim.

I'm just hoping the off season will find we're able to get some better shooters and those numbers rise. It looks like it's going to be a tough road trying to win as a big man in Sac with a terrible team.

Right now I'm just chalking the poor numbers up to it being the Kings, but if we finally nab some decent shooters and the terrible numbers continue I just may move on to a different mode or game altogether.

For you Player Lock association guys do you guys see much variance in shooting % difference between the two modes? I may try that next. Frustrating as all heck right now. I don't mind all the losing really, don't get me wrong it sucks, but it's how we lose that grinds my gears.

if you stay with your teamf or a while they "trust you and want your opinion". so they'll let you pick 5 players youd like to see traded to your team. they will also allow you to pick 5 players youd like to see added on the offseason. so it's not 100% out of your hands..just 90%

I do not know whats going on with the heat. Miami is currently fighting for the 8th seed, and we blow them out every time we play them. Heck, the wizards give us a better game than the Heat do.

You need quite a bit of space around your guy, mainly at your take-off point, to dunk in traffic. I'm not sure if the Jordan package is the best one in that regard; Lebron's or Wade's might be better.

Try setting up your guy where you're 15-20 ft from the basket, and starting in triple threat. Hold L2/LT and push back on the L-stick to do the hold away move, then launch out of that by letting go of L2/LT. This usually gets me enough separation to attempt a dunk on the run, but my 6'3" SG has a hard time climbing over bigs in the key.

I just hit the All-star game in my 3rd season -- I was first in voting but still came off the bench. During the second quarter, John Wall went down with a torn MCL... done for the season. I didn't think it was possible to get hurt during the all-star/rookie games, but it's interesting. The Wizards are sitting right around the 6-7 spot in the ridiculously stacked east, too.

My Celtics are narrowly holding off the Sixers and Heat in the standings with a record of 45-9. Those Sixers blew me out on their floor by 26 points just a few games ago, with Melo putting up 36 points and Aldridge grabbing 25 rebounds. Playoffs are gonna be scary.

Just played the Raptors who picked up Yao somewhere along the line. We won pretty easily but he had a 20/20 game. He's wearing #0 and looks pretty silly in their jersey. It's strange to first hear about the drastic personnel changes the CPU makes in this mode when you're watching the starting lineup...

What settings are you play on?

I play on All Star and I can't decided between simulation and default sliders.

If I use simulation my players just don't score. If I use default my opponents just keep hitting everything.

I found that Superstar and simulation provides some nice balance (my team mates seem a bit more active), but it's way too difficult.

Speaking of endorsements, did anyone else have all their endorsements already on their second MyPlayer?

I got all the endorsements on my original MyPlayer, and when I made my SF, he had every single endorsement already, before his first game. Even the shoes.

This happened to me as well! Anyone else? I don't have a problem with it either, because I have the shoes and the billboard has my player in his new jersey.

Weird thing is: The Sports Illustrated magazine has My Player in his Wizards jersey (and I deleted that file) and I'm on the Knicks in this new My Player.

Just finished regular season did not win MVP due to injury problems, Lebron won MVP and he is on the same team as me... I was league leader in points, rebounds, assists, steals.

I think it's because it ties your endorsements to your Profile file and not your actual MyPlayer save. No way around it without deleting your Profile, which will also delete all your earned Jordans, and starting your MyPlayer over.

I personally play on Superstar/Sim but I sometimes get that "impossible-to-win" game, especially away from home. I had one game where my player missed 3 relatively open, uncontested dunks in a single quarter and my team ended up going 18/81 from the field, while the CPU shot over 65% (...and it was Cleveland). I ended up with a career-high 36 rebounds.

All-star difficulty seems to have some problems with both Default and Simulation game types, but Default is more reliable in what you'll get from game to game. Pro difficulty kills the fun IMO (winning by 40 every game), but I think it's the intended difficulty.

Once your teammate chemistry is really high, Superstar can click without getting too easy or too hard. You can sense those kinda games early on, so you could just quit out and start it over if you don't want to torture yourself.

I only stay on Simulation for the additional FT attempts. I think Default is overall more fun, and perhaps closer to real basketball (in this mode).
