Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

    Hey guys.

Im starting a new SF Slashing MyPlayer. However, I dont know what attributes to get up first.
Can someone give me a list of what to boost up first. I saw someone done a list for the PG position.

Also what does "Slashing" mean? I only chose this play-style because you start off with a high close range rating and high layup rating aswell.

    Cheers

Actually it's an English forum seeing as how people are speaking English on it. People should speak one language or the other, not mix them because it becomes confusing. But I didn't mean to sound racist nor did I mean to offend you. Just trying to help you with your English typing skills.

Anyway, I just hit 99 overall 2 days ago, I feel pretty beast now.

Highlight of my career: Making a game-winning buzzer beater against my old team the first time we played them but there was like 0.2 seconds left so wasn't as cool. 6'1 athletic point guard, 70 overall with 39 games played.

yup just checked, leading the league in rebounds by 6. howard avg ~12, i'm avg ~ 18. leading the blocks by 8. blake griffen avg ~2, i'm avg ~10.5

oh well i guess its not that important, just means i wont get named to the asg or r vs. s game. i am the leading canidate for roy but it'd be fun to win roy, mvp and dpy in one season.

found out i can record videos on xfire, well see how this turns out

          defense wins championships!

So I originally created a PG and it was getting too easy. I decided to try a 6'10" PF All Around to try something different. My first game 14 points, 38 rebounds, and 5 assists. I couldn't believe how many boards I was getting. 10 minute quarters.

I was wondering should I focus on getting the post offense moves first or should I just stick to medium shot. I am use to playing the PG/SG so I am not 100% sure.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

                    Hey All,

I'm a complete newbie...haven't played a Basketball video game since NBA Live 06 for Xbox. I am a big EA NHL fan (and Canadian). Anyways, I decided to give this game a shot via rental, because I had heard so many awesome things about it...ya, it lived up to the hype. Easily the most realistic, challenging and entertaining sports game I have EVER played. Took the rental back, bought the game the same day.

So I started a My Player...

                    I'm a 59 OV right now, I think I'm in Late Feb 2011.

My guy is a Scoring SG. 6'4 215 LBS.

Is it possible to have your hometown from Canada?? I didn't see any Canadian cities in the setup??

Went through the combine and Summer League, I was not that good. Tough to pick up the nuances, and especially not get blasted on D. I picked up shooting pretty quickly, but I was getting raped on D almost every play...to the point where I was getting picked on. Got sent down to the D-League...played about 10 games.

Got signed to a 10 day contract with the Raptors of all teams (what were the Odds of that?)

Just now starting to figure everything out. My season average is B+, but my last three straight games I've gotten A+..and even up to an A- on Defense.

Played about 10 games, got injured missed I think 3 games, then played about 3 more and now I'm the starting SG. (Raps traded Demar Derozan)

                    21.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 2.1 APG, 0.3 SPG, 0.3 BPG Shooting: FG - 40%, 3PT - 35% FT - 40% (don't draw that many fouls).

Best game so far I dropped 38 points, 9 Rebs and 3 Assists against Orlando..but lost OT because I let Hedo Turdglue (lol) hit a 3 to tie the game with like 3.3 seconds left.

Guess I just have a few questions from the knowledgeable folks on here.

                    1. Has anyone been drafted 1st Overall? Doesn't seem possible, I've fiddled with the combine for quite a while got decent stats and didn't even get into the first round.

                    2. What's the quickest way to gain SP's? Do you get more points for going for stats or getting good ratings? I know A+ gives you 900 SP's on its own. But is it better just to go for stats? Like if I get a B- but finish with a Triple Double...does that get me more points than an A+ with lesser stats?

                    3. Defense, defense, defense. My biggest problem is defending guys like Wade and Kobe who drive the lanes. Doesn't feel like there's any way to stop them. When they get in drive mode like that, are you beaten or what can I do to stop them?

                    4. Teammate AI...now...I'm on the Raptors so I imagine bad defense is a team trait because well, lets face it, the Raptors are awful. They play as soft as the real team, which I found kinda delightful. Seems though like my play doesn't make a difference. I had 35 points against the Suns and we still lost by 15. I guess what I'm asking is...will they get better as I get better or am I better off asking for a trade to a better team?

                    Look forward to your answers.

                    thanks.

After getting my 6'6" SG drafted to the Grizzles and playing until the all star break before getting traded to the Jazz I was robbed of the MVP trophy but settled for Rookie of the Year. Ended up sweeping the Heath in the Finals after winning Finals MVP. After Jerry Sloan retiring it was time to head for greener pastures and my Bulls were in need of my skills at SG. What has transpired has been an **** run into becoming legendary. First year with Bulls we won 73 games. Fast forward to now after just finishing an 80-2 season after the FA signing of Blake Griffin.

That sounds really awesome, how do you get the taste of a bad McDonalds burger out of your mouth (the one I just had was the worst one I've ever had)?

But seriously, how do you get your teammates to play smart? And what diificuly/slider set are you playing on? I'm 99 ovr and it seems like I have to make all the plays myself even playing with a very good point guard.
