It just depends though, After the game I had 33 it took at least 20 games to get over 20 attempts again. I remember playing 2k9 online and pump faking into kids all the time and they would just quit, it still seems relatively the same but I think it was a lot easier and more consistent then. I think in 2k11 so far I have gotten 2 total reach in fouls that I was able to get to the line from and they were flukes.
i think i've only created two 4-point plays...and during those times i didnt expect it to happen...i do use the eurostep a lot to try and intentionally smash into the defender

like i've said before in this thread, i dont really follow a lot of basketball but what exactly is the give and go? i know it's LT + A but how does it look like when it's successfully done and how do you set up for one?

i have an idea in my head as to what it looks like but i think im wrong

I'll basically get up on someone create a screen situation, give them the ball go around them and get a wide open look. I just call for a pick then call for the ball when I'm where I want to be. I do it this way because I find when I give the ball to a wing shooter before I can get around them and go they shoot the ball.

so you press LT + A during the second pass(back to your player)?

it could be useful since i tend to have a lot of fastbreak plays...even my halfcourt set(technically not a set since it's all in transition as i bring the ball up) rarely takes time off the clock

i have a feeling i've done a give and go before but i just dont realize it

Nah just press A like you would normally call for the ball, Lt + A is an alley oop pass so that will just throw up the ball and most likely get you a turn over, since it's usually a center or pf setting the pick they will pass it back because they wont jack up a deep 2 or 3. Yea, you probably have used it before, you are just giving the ball then going, it's a pretty simple play but it is effective in getting space. I usually run this to get back in rhythm if I'm missing shots.

i rarely press LT + A so i wouldnt know if it does an alley oop pass...i just know that LT + B does the official alley oop play

but yeah i get what you're trying to say...but do YOU normally use it in conjunction with the pick and roll or do you prefer your PF and C stationary(ala pick and pop)?

I'd say 80% of the ones I do are with the pick and roll. Either is ok, I think it's more time efficient to run it with the pick and roll and usually the bigger bodies provide the best screens.

but yea LT + A will lob the ball up near the basket, you don't want to do that unless you've got someone rolling, it sucks seeing a whole letter grade disappear lol. I really only use the alley oop on fast breaks when someone is running ahead of me and I know I can get it. I don't get a whole lot of highlight plays except for ankle breakers.

lol i dont even bother with alley oops while im with the kings...no one is a proven dunker and i swear a defender will almost always jump up and tip the pass as the ball is thrown up... i did have a blast with the alley oop in miami though...obvious reasons of course...

i have yet to cross a defender so bad that they fell/stumbled to the ground...i usually just get them to reach in the opposite direction im going and i blow past them...double crossover!

i use to run a lot of normal pick and rolls but now i just manually send teammates on cuts to the basket as i weave my pass around defenders for an assist...

im thinking if i was to use the give and go...it would be more so completed during a fastbreak in which it's a 2 on 1 situations with my team leading the charge...so in a sense, i will substitute this in place of an alley oop

Yea I wouldn't look for alley oops with the kings either lol.

It's an efficient play when you are looking for your offense, (which I do for most of the game lol) once you start to use it more you will see where it is most beneficial to you.

only defense my player provides is clogging the passing lane and on-ball defense...im not much of a threat in terms of shot blocking...but i do average 5.1 spg at the moment...additionally, my teammates do play the passing lane as well(mainly on long passes)...demarcus cousins is leading the league in blocks so we have a fairly solid defense in general

like you, im oriented in scoring...we lead the league as a team with ~120ppg and i have an average of 15 apg...im just looking for more things to do on offense so that i dont completely get bored of the game(sort of currently at that stage)

Yea I know what you mean, I usually only play through 1 or 2 seasons with my player anyway, I find it annoying to have to start over every year a new game comes out so I figure it's not worth my time to take the feature too seriously. 2k really needs to implement a continue career feature for their games. As far as defense on my player sometimes I play D, I do play passing lanes but if I'm playing a slow tempo team I will leave my man open so I can get the ball and shoot more lol.

Put up my first double-double in a win over the Nets; 11 pts., 11 assists and also had 5 rebounds and 2 steals. I've cut my turnovers down in the past few games, too, so I think that's helped get me more minutes on the floor.

My stats are nowhere near what some of you guys are putting up, but that's OK with me. I'm really enjoying the mode. I am up to 50 OVR, so I am making progress.
Yeah, I tried All Star a little a yesterday and for the Most part it was realistic for both sides. I'm going to give 10-12 Min range a try.. Even though I'm Starting I just want to get more opportunity for my player.

Yeah TO's have been a problem for me as well but I'm improving in that area.

So my 6'10" PF got drafted with the 1st round 9th pick by the Jazz. I averaged almost 30 ppg and 30 rpg during the three games. Completely different playing with him then my 6'1" PG.

Started a SG 6'4" 190lbs. Drafted 28th overall to the Grizzlies. Had a double-double my 1st summer game. Started out at 10 mins a game (8min quarters).. Started off really slow. 33% FG 20% from 3pt. My 3 rating is only 62...

Then something happened... Played 5 games total. Last 2 I've hit 4 3s. Shooting .471 from 3 for the short year. Up to 6th man with 22 mins a game. Grizzlies are 4-2, beat the lakers IN LA by 1.

I really don't like the grizzlies. Rudy gay shots like 15 3s a game....
