you cant sit out but you can intentionally foul as soon as the game starts, get yourself in foul trouble and it'll advance the game pretty quick

That would still count as a game played.

whoops didnt read your full statement, thought you just wanted to delay getting your asst til your game vs the suns. as far as i know there is no way to force yourself to sit out.

possibly lowering your injury rating to zero and hoping you get injured but who knows how long you could be out.

If you sim to the end, it removes all milestones and earned skill points, you will get these in the next game.

We(NEts) are 52-16. Locked a Playoff spot. A game ahead of Heat. Easy schefule the rest of the season. probably 2 or 3 Key games left. I cant really sim games because We constantly lose. It doesnt really matter because we are not on a WS. But we have Miami right on our heels. Even though I want Devin Harris injuried. I really want him back. With his Defensive ability I am able to switch off of different players with confidence. I would like to guard the best scorer, but with Current SGs I cant afford to try. I wanted to give my rookie teammate some time, but with Marion injuried he will get time.

12 of 16 my loses came from either being injuried or simming games. But for some reason I cant beat Atlanta to save my life. I dont know why but I cant stop Joe Johnson at the PG spot. He is the starting PG. I cant stop him. His height really hurts me. With Devin Harris out, my SGs were not able to stop Jamal Crawford from raining 3s. The real problem is Josh Smith. Great defender whose constantly blocking shots. And Lopez and Favors cant stop him.
I really hope we dont face them in the Playoffs because they will be a problem. They are the 5th seed.

Just earned the 3PT Jordan shoe but I have no idea how to equip it. When I go to "My Jordans" the game says "this controller must be logged into a profile."

edit- ah, figured it out, had to select My Jordans with the controller instead of the keyboard.

Heh, 2K are bastards. You can sell back the skill points from +4 3-point Jordans, but not from +3 speed Jordans.

I'm going to alternate between using the full bonus against certain teams and selling back some of the points for defensive/dribbling bonuses against other teams with dominant point guards.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

So, I won the championship, and then decided it was time to go to All-Star because the team was doing far to well on Pro because after some OT games in every playoff series, the finals vs The Heat was a sweep composed of blowouts.

So I went ahead and increased the difficulty after the first 2 games( I thought I had already done so, was wrong). I then proceeded to watch Lamarcus Aldridge start 5 for 5 from the floor, Andre Miller blow by Russel Westbrook, after he did the electric slide from 10 feet over to take a charge, and Greg Oden hit a jump-shot, and then hit another jump-shot.

The team was down 15 points by the end of the first quarter. I quit in frustration.

                    Any tips?

play the game out. seeing as it was your 1st game and you didnt make it past the 1st quarter. there is some learning curve to the next difficulty, the defense you played before may not work on the next difficulty. its also possible the other team just came out hot. i've been down 31-12 after the 1st quarter. you just continue playing and battle back. dont just quit b/c the cpu made a few shots.

Quick follow-up question. Do I need to always guard my man on defense, even if he is a terrible jump shooter. I've heard stories of Marcin Gortat, Greg Oden, and Darko Milicic consistently raining down jumpshots on your head because you decide to make them beat you from out there.

No, you can freelance. I do it quite a bit if I see a guy getting ready to shoot. No penalty.

yup, i actually bait my bad shooter into shooting. sometimes the computer gets smart and the open guy will dive to the basket for an easy 2. sometimes they make the open shot. sometimes i'll recover enough to block the shot. just make sure you dont camp in the key
