My guess is that there is a formula that they use for ratings that is based to a %. Probably the same formula that is used for FT rating.

You won't hit it all the time, but you will at a high clip.

The only thing I would love to see is actual heat checks in this game. Sometimes, in the 2K series, I've felt like no matter what I do, the next time down the floor there was no way I'd hit another three or another shot. I hope that it isn't like that this year with RP%.

Along with the High Heat mention, this sort of thing is why The Show gets very old for me very quickly. Stuff is just too stat driven and not enough user influence for my liking. Some like it and think it's realistic, I'm not one of them. But at least 2K11 will give us the option which is awesome - everyone can be happy.

I'll see how this feature works in 2K11 but I doubt I'll use it.

Typically, in other games, I agree, but sometimes it's too easy/hard to figure out a sig shot.

It actually kinda sucks the fun out of the game. Now, it feels like I'll have to use players in the right position rather than just mastering a shot.

I'll be using shot-stick timing for FGs and FTs, since ratings still play a part in the success of the shot.

Real player % are for kids and cop-outs. Shot Stick/button timing are for men and highly skilled players. SMH @ people wanting control but now wanting some automatic crap that u dont have to really work for. I want 2K to take this feature out because there is no learning curve to this.

Some people just want to mimic the NBA's shooting %, without the user unrealisticly skewing the stats. Not my preference, but I respect those people nonetheless. I only use real % for FT's.

I'm shocked @ these results. They'll come crying when they brick a wide open buzzer beater 3 w/ Ray Allen b/c he had was 2/4 before the shot.

That's a good point. Your performance is tracked, isn't it? My guess would be that you'll be creating your own track record, so to speak.

Will these even be available for online games? Real FT% has been in for years but only for offline games correct?

You can probably use it in unranked custom games.

For ranked games I'd bet money that it'll all be user controlled shots. Most online ranked people want 100% control.

? I'm sure it's based on the individual shot. It won't look at it and say: hey, this guy is 2-2 so he is due a miss.

When you miss an open three with Ray because you mistimed the shot stick, please don't complain about the game being unforgiving and unrealistic.

It would probably be ratings-based, not based on past games.
