Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
I had the chance to play the game today for several hours. I played with sim sliders and on pro. Of course I turned on Real Player %. But this option my friends is broken. I am not an expert on release timing but after 3 games on sim/pro @12 min qrts I was really pissed by caron butler hitting 3 of 20 open shots. kidd hittin not a single open 3 and so on.
FG % of me AND cpu were in all games <40% and neither me nor the cpu managed to get more than 75-80 pts in 48 minutes!
Frustrated I went to the practice menu and tested with butler open mid range shots. With real player % he would make 1-2 of 20 mid range jumpers (standing still). With shot stick timing on I could manage to hit 8 of 10 (same like in 2k10) from the same positions in practice mode.
I want to play SIM but this option is not sim. Its broken.
Besides of that this is the best sports game ever made.Pistons Tigers Flames Stars Lions Marlins Falcons

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
Maybe its not effecting the cpu but the cpu has problems with scoring on pro/sim. Need to test Allstar and shot stick timing.
when you turn on sim mode the only thing that happens is that the sliders are set to another default level than on normal.
on normal the shooting sliders are at 50 for all categories (like in previous 2k titles). if you set the game to sim the shooting sliders will be like 42 for inside, 45 for medium, 45 for threes etc. maybe having real player FG% on and shooting sliders lower than 50 is a bad combo and breaks it. Dont know yet. Need to play more.DaWu wins the PS3 Cover Artist of they Year award!

I dont know. These are just my observations from 3 full length matches and some time in the practice arena.

Simulation gamestyle is simply tweaked sliders. Interesting...Comment

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
dirk was 9/25 Fgs and 0/3 threes in my loss to the spurs (78-60). those were some though shot attempts and it felt kinda ok. but kidd, terry and butler were not capable of hittin anything even when wide open.
P.S. this was my first loss to the cpu in 2k history that did not make me feel cheated. besides of my 25 turnovers (passing is hardcore now) all the points the cpu made were logical. no lead pass no PIP abuse. even though duncan hit a three on me lolDaWu wins the PS3 Cover Artist of they Year award!

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
yes. if you change one slider by one single point the gamestyle switches from sim to individual.
so its only sliders (shooting, defence, attributes, tendencies and fouls).
yes there are now sliders for fouls besides the already known and still existing nba rules settings menu from previous iterations. you can set shooting fouls, over the back fouls, charging fouls and many more foul categories in the sliders menu from 0 - 100 for player and cpu.DaWu wins the PS3 Cover Artist of they Year award!

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
But it still would have the rest of the settings, I doubt a "code" would be changed...looks like typical slider tweaking like how the old "sim" settings were for the older NHL2k games...Comment

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
yes the rest will stay as preset by the gamestyle you set at the beginning. I set 3s from 45 to 50 after me hittin 1/18 with real player FG% and the cpu spurs 0/10DaWu wins the PS3 Cover Artist of they Year award!

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
Yeah, u shot poorly cuz the shooting sliders were a little too low. In years past, only the inside and close sliders needed to be drastically lowered because of the poor in the paint defense. Midrange only needed to go down a couple clicks and 3pt only needed 1 or 2 at most if at all."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
yea but will they take psn cards

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
DaWu,try a higher difficulty setting. With rp% on ,cpu is who controls the shooting of your players(im guessing that your players have pro skill too) so if you go to a higher difficulty maybe both user and cpu controlled players will get better %.Last edited by made in eu; 09-27-2010, 08:37 PM.Comment
