Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Im currently watching the CPUs battle it out in game 7 of the NBA Finals. The teams? OKC Thunder and my Bucks. We are looking to win back-to-back titles. Last year was pretty crazy playoffs and it was me and the bobcats (who swept the Heat in the 1st round) in the East Conf. Championship. I won in 7 and ended up beating the Spurs in 7 heh. My starting 5:
Bogut
Jennings
Mbah a Moute
Maggette
Ilyasova
Thats the same 5 who won it for me last year heh.
Its currently 1st QTR: OKC 19 MIL 18Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Alright, well I'm in need of more advice. I still haven't touched Association, because I've been finishing the Jordan Challenges (for some reason the Bulls/Lakers series keeps resetting)
But anyways, can anyone else give me their preferred settings for association? There's so much to choose from, and that moral, player feelings thing seems like it would get in the way of things. Will be taking the Cavs into association btw.You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
NFL: New York Giants
NCAA: Ohio State Buckeyes
NBA: New York KnicksComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
So, I restarted my Association yet again. Lol, one of my new year's resolution is to stick with this one. haha.
I restarted so I could use Geebo's rosters as it was a complete roster and not incomplete like Rashidi's at the moment.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Depends if you want realism or not. You could turn moral off because it can get in the way but it does in real life too. I like it because it s tops you from having a stacked team. You can't have bench players rated too high cos they get angry and become a distraction, so it helps keep it realistic.Chicago Bulls 1996

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Same here. Evan Turner feels "offended" and hes starting and playing at least 37 a game. Im in season 2 and hes been upset since hes been here. If his morale doesnt change by the end of the year ill probably have to trade him (which i really dont want to do)Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Last night I played the Thunder in my Jazz association. Durant is out 4-8 weeks with a broken back, so I figured this would be an easy W.
WRONG.
James Harden dropped 34 points and was hitting rediciulous 3 point shots. At one point I was up 16 (mid-way through the 2nd quarter) and at the end of the third was down 83-80. I played my starters for the full 4th quarter and ended up pulling out the victory, but there was a point where I thought we were going to lose.
Duncan was the man this game. 38 points and 7 boards. D Williams had 10 assists in the first half but only ended up with 11 for the game because my guys went ice cold. Al Jefferson was useless tonight - only had 10 point and a few boards. He really was invisible.
Luckily we pulled it out and LA lost to the Bucks so we're both sitting at 10-1. Poor OKC, they're now 3-7 on the season.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
damn my Wizard's association file got corrupted. Was more than halfway through with season 1 and started really getting into it.
Oh well. I guess all I can do is start again but with a different team to avoid getting bored. Thinking about running with Houston. Was gonna pick the Timberwolves, but Minny already has young blue chippers in place to build around, so I will probably not pick them cause I want to realistically mold the team myself. Also was thinking about running with Toronto, but their staff budget is out of control. There NBA Scout is making like 8,000,000 for 3 years, so I would have to wait 3 years to even fire my coach. I try to keep it realistic, so not being able to fire Triano after an unavoidable bad first season is kind of a deal breaker for me (petty I know, but I'm weird like that so I digress). Houston seems like a good fit.Last edited by DrPhibes; 01-06-2011, 07:13 PM.Comment

Running with the Cavs

SF-Wesley Johnson(28/9/8)
PF-Serge Ibaka
C-Marcus Camby
6Man-Beldsoe
BE-Xavier Henry
BE-Anthony Morrow
