The only reason is because I love to be in control, so I'll play most of my 82 game schedule, and I doubt I'll make it through year two, so the first in that season doesn't mean much to me at all.

Anyway, I need a little help on my association...

I play with Oklahoma, am at the first few games of season 3 (2012-2013) right now. And now I have a difficult situation at the Center postition, but first the team:

      (Starter, Bench, Reserves)

      PG R.Westbrook 93, J.Teague 71
      SG A.Rivers 85 (Pick 2012), Jordan Crawford 72
      SF K.Durant 98, , S.Graham 59
      PF Josh Smith 86, J.Sulliger 75 (Pick 2011), D. Porter 62
      C A.Horford 86, L.Nogueira 72 (Pick 2012), P.Ellis 59

To finally accomplish this team, which to me is in term of rotation the optimum, I did this trade:

      (TradeValue)
      OKC Rec.:
      Smith 3,5
      Horford 4,5
      Teague 3
      Crawford 2,5

      Atl Rec.:
      Harden 4
      Hibbert 3,5
      D.Jones (Pick 2012) 2
      Q.Miller (Pick 2012) 4,5

Now, finally, my problem is the question Horford or Hibbert. Horford does not have that lengh (2,06 vs 2,19) and is one year older, but then again he has 4 points OVL more and his potential is higher, too (A+ vs B). Also is his mid range game better, respectively more consistent.

Another problem is Teague. I'm very pleased with his action on the court, he is not that bad ratet for a backup and is young & talentet. But his contract expires at the end of the season and he wants to check the market. But since I'm over the salary cap, I fear I can't hold him when he loses his Bird years.

What do you think about these thinks and my association as a whole?

      Splash!!

Al Horford is much better offensively than Hibbert and also defensively.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I have been playing a season with the Knicks. But I have been struck in a huge way with the injury bug, which has decimated the team. I have lost for extended period of time (2-3 months) Amar'e Stoudamaire, Anthony Randolph, and Jason Richardson. (Just so you know, J-Rich came as part of a trade which freed me up of Eddy Curry's contract. Phoenix = Suckers!!)
Wilson Chandler has tried to keep the ship afloat but alas, to no avail. The Knicks are having a poor season languishing at 16-33.
Due to a season lost, the Knicks took up a close to trade deadline deal offer from the Chicago Bulls. A 2011 #1 rd pick and 2012 #1 rd pick for Danillo Gallineri. Adios Danillo! Hello draft picks for the future.

Two days later I had Oklahoma City in Oklahoma City and game two is where things are going downhill already haha. Josh Smith gets injured first for 2-4 weeks, which sucks, but I figured I could adjust around it. But then Maurice Evans, my starting SF gets hurt as well. This really changed things.

So I started by moving Marvin Williams from backup SF to starting PF to take over Josh Smith's role. Decided to trade my 6th man, Jamal Crawford who wasn't doing jack to Dallas for Jason Terry and a first this year so he'll take on the 6th man role and maybe it'll give me some ammo to get two good first rounders or trade up for a lottery pick. Evans is somewhere around 6 weeks so Dominique Wilkins became my only SF. Figure he can play backup and I signed Walter Hermann to start which gives me this lineup going into LA tomorrow.

PG - Mike Bibby - Jeff Teague (Role Player) - Pape Sy (D-League)
SG - Joe Johnson - Jason Terry (6th Man) - Jordan Crawford (Prospect)
SF - Walter Hermann - Dominique Wilkins (Role Player) - Maurice Evans (Injured)
PF - Marvin Williams - Josh Powell (Role Player) - Etan Thomas (Bench Warmer) - Josh Smith (Injured)
C - Al Horford - Zaza Pachulia (Role Player) - Jason Collins (IR)
I think your problem is that dominique wilkins' role is a role player, haha. I've done a hawks association too, and my suggestion is to move johnson over to SF so you can start terry. Also, Powell did a pretty good job filling in for j smith so start him instead.

My first round matchup in the 2012-13 season was against the 3 seed grizzlies. The grizzlies had a great year, and O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay had both progressed to 90 OVR, and Randolph, Conley, and Gasol were all at 80 or above. Yao Ming was injured for the first 3 games, which forced me to start Scola at the 5, patterson at the 4, green at the 3, and my 82 OVR rookie at SG.

We lost the first three games, and I thought it was over. But then, Yao returned! I had no answer for gasol the whole series but yao came back and shut him down. We win the next game in OT, blow them out the next two games at home, and went to memphis for game seven. In the end, i won by 6, with yao posting 32 points 5 block and 12 rebounds. Next up is a matchup against the 2 seed thunder. They're weak at center so I plan to attack them with yao and see what battier can do w/ durant.

Locked up a Playoff spot as I come down to my final 7 games. The real issue is that I do NOT want to the play the Magic in the first round. I am 1-3 against them this year and have a lot of trouble containing Richardson and Arenas. We did JUST beat them though. They are only a half game ahead of the Bucks, so I'm hoping the Bucks screw it up and fall behind the Magic.

Josh Smith is the 5th MVP Candidate right now, despite having been an All Star snub. He's stepped it up. Joe Johnson's 19 PPG still lead the team. Craig Brackins, emerging as one of the top reserves, it out for 4-6 weeks, so recently healthy Josh Powell will take his spot (which he gave up when he got hurt - its been a rotation of injured PFs). Leon Powe now hates me and will be gone after this season. Bibby is also unhappy with Lou Williams taking so much of his PT (they have a near 50/50 split) and might be traded in the offseason.

Next post will be the Playoffs unless something crazy happens.

              Year: 1
              Record: 53-29

Well, thanks to some struggles from the Celtics and some nice wins, the Hawks beat them in a tiebreaker and took the #2 seed. The beauty of this is that I'm on the far side of the bracket from the Heat (who just smashed me in our 2nd to last game) and the Magic (3-1 against the Hawks). So pulling the #2 seed is definitely good.

Even though it is, we are facing the #7 Pacers. The Pacers, just two weeks ago, took it to the Hawks 104-79, with Danny Granger playing out of his mind to the tune of 49 points on 14-34 shooting, including 4 three pointers. Dahntay Jones chipped in 20 and Hibbert had 16, 9 boards, and 3 blocks. The two teams have split the season series 2-2, so nothing should be taken for granted.

Going into the series, the Hawks will look to correct some problems that reared their head in the end of the season - namely Jamal Crawford's shooting percentages. Obviously, stopping Granger is the primary concern, so look for Josh Smith to play heavy minutes at the 3 to use his size and athleticism to try and match Granger's length and skill. In addition, the Hawks will need to find away around Hibbert, who can crowd the paint. Getting him foul trouble or taking him away from the basket will be strategic points of emphasis.

              And turnovers, always a problem.

              1) Shut down Granger.
              2) Smart offense, reducing turnovers and shooting the ball well.
              3) Get Hibbert out of the paint, either by foul trouble or other methods.

I'm predicting I'll win 4-2, but who knows...

I started a team with the Clippers. I traded a couple players and got Joey Graham and the first round pick from the Cavs. I had the second best record in the west, but was the 5th seed because of the lakers
This was until january, when Eric Godron tore his acl and i went from the 5th seed to the 8th seed.
Very addicting and I was very upset at this. Starting the second season tonight.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm currently 8 games into the season with my Trail Blazers (I started new a week ago because I wanted to play with all up-to-date injuries i.e. Brandon Roy, Caron Butler, etc). We're 3-5 after a thriller in Los Angeles against the Lakers.

We started the game decent but fell off all the way up until the final 2 minutes of the game. LaMarcus Aldridge (Who is averaging 26 ppg and 8 rpg) struggled from the field but finished with 23. Ultimately it was Rudy Fernandez who lead the charge.

We were down by about 14 with 2 minutes left and I was pretty much tossing in the towel. I just dribbled the ball up the court and would hit Rudy off a quick screen play. He got hot from beyond the ark and ended up going off in the final minutes and hit a three at the buzzer to send it into overtime, where we would go on to win. Rudy went 10/16 from three and had 34 points.

A much needed win as we have been struggling a lot lately.

I am also planning to trade away Wade or Lebron because I don't want a big team, I might want to form a duo with CP3 and Amare and get some other players that are maybe 80-90 ovr, I will have to get a solid SG like Monta Ellis

currently in the playoffs in my phoenix suns association. we won our 1st rnd matchup against new orleans with strong performances by nash , a. randolph and vince carter. In the second round we are playing houston. i played game 1 last night and lost a close one at home 107-104 . kevin martin lit us up for 39 pts. the worst part is we lost jared dudley and a. randolph for 2-3 weeks which leaves the suns short on solid players. i brought up some d-league players and hopefully they can produce enough to help us move on to the next round.

ok, so im in my second season of my raptors association and I made some changes aquiring o.j. mayo in a trade last season and picked up Wilson Chandler, troy murphy and prybilla from free agency, got more, those are the most major to me. So my line up is:

                              PG: J. Calderon/K. Walker/K. Dooling
SG: O.J. Mayo/G. Temple (saw some defensive potential in him)
                              SF: W. Chandler/C. Singleton
                              PF: T. Murphy/E. Davis/L. Kleiza
                              C: A. Bargnani/J. Pryzbilla

We've started the season 0-3, we are horrible from downtown, which I thought was going to be our bread and butter. Bargnani, who I thought was going to have a monster season, is really struggling. It could be because he has an injured finger, but I still think he is struggling bad at every concept of his game. The season is really upserring right now, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Should I trade bagnani for a more stronger inside man? or just ride the slump out?

                                PG: J. Calderon/K. Walker/K. Dooling
SG: O.J. Mayo/G. Temple (saw some defensive potential in him)
                                SF: W. Chandler/C. Singleton
                                PF: T. Murphy/E. Davis/L. Kleiza
                                C: A. Bargnani/J. Pryzbilla

We've started the season 0-3, we are horrible from downtown, which I thought was going to be our bread and butter. Bargnani, who I thought was going to have a monster season, is really struggling. It could be because he has an injured finger, but I still think he is struggling bad at every concept of his game. The season is really upserring right now, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Should I trade bagnani for a more stronger inside man? or just ride the slump out?

You might need a different C with that lineup b/c you got guys who drain 3's [Roy Hibbert's a good young C, DJordan on LAC is a big body and progressing]. I am running with TOR also and i keep Bargs b/c my other guys aren't good 3pt shooters. The biggest peev i have with Bargs is he can't jump for $h!+ but i'm gonna ride this season out with him regardless.
