    [31-24 TOR year 1/All-Star/82gm/10min]

Well I finally got to the all-star break with of course the 5 games leading up to it all freezing after the goddam 1st quarter! Leading after 1 in MIL and lost, lead after 1 in SA and lost, trailed after 1 agnst LAC and lost! I simmed the Heat game and was blown out. I wanted to play every one of those games too!

Bayless and Bargs made the East all-stars. I'll keep their minutes low b/c i'll be damned if they get injured in a freakin all-star scrimmage!

    PG Bayless | W.Bynum
    SG Barbosa | Weems
    SF Derozan | Donte Greene | Peja | Kleiza | J.Wright
    PF Odom | Amir Johnson
    C Bargnani | A.Randolph
    Lakers | Michigan | Dodgers

I just got into basketball in October, the day NBA 2K11 came out. I am a Nets fan. I started a franchise with the Nets (default rosters) back in January, and currently I have a good record. 43-28, second place in the Atlantic Division. I tried working with what I had, but I fell to like 2-8 and after I lost the game to the Clippers, I executed the Carmelo Anthony trade (force trades on): Devin Harris, Terrence Williams, Derrick Favors, 1st Round Pick for Carmelo Anthony, Ty Lawson. I boomed with him and skyrocketed my game big time. I was dismantling defenses with the combination of my trio: Carmelo Anthony, Travis Outlaw, and Brook Lopez. Troy Murphy was mad he lost his starter spot to Melo and became 6th man so once Lopez healed from an injury, I did a 3-team trade with the Kings and Lakers: Troy Murphy to the Kings for Whiteside and Jackson to the Lakers for Sasha Vujacic and Theo Ratliff. I only got Sasha Vujacic cause hes my girlfriends favorite player, and he is a great 6th man.

I am doing the 29 game rule, they ask you before you start an Association how many games in the season do you want to play and the minimum you can play is 29 so I play 29/82 games all random and simulate the 53 others. I am heading into April right now.

Now, my friend came over and noticed the scores ending very high. I play on Pro (I win some, I lose some), because I am not that good - 12 minute quarters with Default sliders. Scores ended like 130-121 rarely were they ever close to real NBA with barely breaking 100. I am also over 100. I played a game against the Knicks turning the quarters to 10 minutes. Score was 100-97 I won. But, I noticed the minutes allocation for playing time. Will 10 minute quarters have a drastic difference than 12 minute quarters when allocating a player's minutes? Will Melo play out his 40 minutes even though it is 10 minutes opposed to 12 minutes? I just want a realistic game, I love this game to death right now. Any help would be appreciated.
ok the mins is ok just adjust your sliders my dude.change the sliders for you and the computer

ok that heat francise it was to easy so i got bored but i started one with orlando and this the only francise iam goin be working with from now on.

i traded j-rich to the nuggest for kmart cause i needed defense on the inside with dwight so that way i have bass coming off the bench. i changed gilbert's postion to shooting guard which allows me to start nelson with him which gives me more offense then what i would of gotten with j-rich. i traded riddick, hedo and anderson and nuggest 2nd round pick to minni in order to get brewer (changed his postion to real one which is small foward), wayne ellington, and tolliver.

I did these trades cause i wanted to get younger, get rid of the bad conctract now instead of later and wanted the offense to be even with the defense.

I'm really enjoying my Clippers association. A bit of game rust meant a slow start, but now I'm used to the players and have my rotation set, I'm much more competitive.

In my opinion they're a great team to build. Griffin, Bledsoe, Gordon, Kaman - all great players.

          My rotation is:

          PG - Eric Bledsoe
          SG - Eric Gordon
          SF - Luol Deng
          PF - Blake Griffin
          C - Chris Kaman

          6 - Jermaine O'Neal
          7 - Jermaine Taylor
          8 - C.J. Watson
          9 - Peja Stojakovic
          10 - DeAndre Jordan
          11 - Willie Warren
          12 - Craig Smith
          R - Devean George

The record is about 4-13 at the moment (28 game seasons), but I reckon I'll be fighting for the playoffs in season 2.

I think the Clippers are a good team to use because they don't require a lot of changes to be a great team down the line.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'd actually like to ask your opinions on something. I have a good team that I'm happy with, and it would be very difficult to improve it. The problem is, I have a poor record and there's half a chance of getting the number one overall draft pick.

Now, there's not much point using the pick in a trade, because the only real position I could improve on is SF, and there isn't really a decent candidate available that would justify trading the number one pick.

And even if I use the pick in the draft, I might end up with a blue-chipper like Blake Griffin, and then where would he fit in?

Any help guys? What would you do?

Currently the Thunder and I'm not to keen on Harden, I just can't get his shot down and without Durant or Westbrook hitting top form or they're sitting on the bench I just don't have a decent enough scoring option, so I was thinking a trade for Monta Ellis.

              What would you think on something like this;

Jeff Green + James Harden + One or Two First round picks for Monta Ellis + Scrub.

              Would it be legit enough?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I posted this on NLSC but I think you guys might be able to help me more with the Hard Cap issue.

So a while back I made a roster with Woldbeard's All Time rosters. Basically I took the 30 CAT logos, overwrote the NBA teams with them, and then gave them names like the Vermont Monsters, Florida Cougars, Montana Black Bears, etc etc. I gave teams to states and tried to keep the teams in states that don't already have a team. And then I converted one of my street mods to be the D-League.

With the patch being released I finally started an association with this. I thought I sucked out on the draft, didnt do a custom draft position and did that serpentine draft (123,321,123,321) . I was pick #15, so I got the worst players overall.

First thing I noticed was that all teams were WAY over the Hard Cap. And everyone has seemingly random salaries, so no 1 for 1 trades can happen. I got Wade, Pistol Pete, Dr J, Lakers Shaq, Hakeem The Dream, Manute Bol, young Ray Allen, Charles Oakley, Steve Francis, Brandon Bass, Reggie Lewis, JJ Barea and Antoine 4 pointer Walker (version Celtics.0).

After losing my first 2 games (4 min quarters), I dropped Francis to the D-League, had Bol starting at Center (so I can always with the tip) with Hakeem, Dr J, Wade, and Maravich. Shaq came first off the bench with Ray Ray and played a lot of minutes. I had great perimeter D with Wade and Maravich with a great offensive PF in Hakeem with shot blocking from Bol and Shaq.

After going on a 3 game winning streak Bol broke his wrist. So the complaining Shaq took over at center and I kept Hakeem in there too. Oakley, Ray, and Reggie Lewis were whinin' big time about minutes, but there wasn't much I could do.

On the "street" one of the other teams sent Brandon Jennings down to the same D-League team, so Franchise and Jennings were tearing it up down there. Lots of give n go's and there were actually a few good big men on that D-League team that could block and finish strong.

Then I played against the New Hampshire Lynx and I broke Nash's jaw in the 3rd quarter.....sure enough they were the ones that sent Jennings to the D-League so he got called up and now I can't do anything with Stevie because no one else can pass the damn ball.

So with the inability to trade anyone due to the hard cap issues I decided to focus on my 2 workhorses that were going to be free agents next year.....Ray Allen and Antoine Walker. My entire gameplan is to dominate with Wade until they get in and then just rain 3's with them both. Antoine has a PER of 50? I think and Allen had his at 30. When they did the little graphic on shooting percentage it was 'toine and ray with over 60% and then Abdul Jabbar, Kevin Love (ya really), and then Wade with 51%.

So I made my starting lineup Maravich, Wade, Allen, Dr J, Hakeem. Then Hakeem got the "flu" and was playing bad so I took him out for Shaqtus. Got Antoine coming 6th man off the bench and the only other player I really use for a specific role is Reggie Lewis who is good for a steal and a fast break each time he's in the game. Figure I need to make Ray and toine as happy as possible so I can try to resign them....but if I'm over the hard cap then I won't be able to anyway.....fack. It's usually a close game before I bring them in and rain 3's to give me the lead.....don't want to lose them and no i dont want to cheat by editing salaries either.

So, being way over the Hard Cap due to the fantasy draft, what can I do to resign Allen and Antoine next year? They are my only 2 expiring contracts.

The other teams in this mod are insane too. Just had a close game against Melo and John Wall with Larry Nance, one of the teams has LeBron with a healthy Yao and the rookie Michael Jordan, and my first loss was to Paul Pierce, Deron Williams, Kobe, and Chamberlain.....no chance in hell I was going to pull that off.

So yea, if you read that, thank you, this association is as fun as I was hoping it to be....I'm about 15 games in on a 29 game season and I completely finished 5 games with 4 Street games. Here is your reward for reading that.

They have said Monta Ellis is untouchable IRL unless they get a superstar in return, so no it's not legit, but it's pretty fair in terms of value.

Rockets association...I'm in game 13 of mine.

                      8-4 start.

I'm looking to make a trade for a SF. Brooks, Battier and other pieces for someone like a Granger or Josh Smith. Mind you, I have Yao, so dealing for a center as if it's the current Rockets isn't an option at this point...trade finder is great btw...gives me an idea of what I can do.

I'll keep you guys posted if anyone's interested...I'll play phoenix a little later. Go Rockets.

Oh no, if I acquired him I would obviously have him starting but during games I can have the option of always leaving either Durant, Westbrook or Ellis in the game so that one will usually always be in at all times. That way I do have the go-to option if nobody else is firing.

Plus, with all three in the game at once it would be harder for the defence to shut me down, they double team Durant I still have two great scoring options and it should help with gaining a big enough lead that when and if I did rest all three at once it may not be as disastrous as first thought.

Freak123 - I know it wouldn't be legit and fair in real life terms, I was thinking more along the lines of the trade being fair in the 2K world.

                        The team would look like;

                        PG - Westbrook/Maynor,
                        SG - Ellis/C. Lee,
                        SF - Durant/D. Wright,
                        PF - Ibaka/Jeffries,
                        C - Aldrich/Kristic.

I do have other minor players but that's the rough side. If this season doesn't work out I will have $25m worth of cap space to add in the off-season. Currently 34-21 though and have played near on every game bar five or six.

I've had him before but I'm going to try and make Aldrich become one of the most dominant centers in the NBA within the next few years. On this update ( Rashidi's ) he does have the potential and is pretty solid on the defensive end, currently averaging 6.5 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 2.2 BPG. All I need to do is work on his offensive game and as he gets older his defensive skills will improve too.

On this update ( Rashidi's ) he does have the potential and is pretty solid on the defensive end, currently averaging 6.5 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 2.2 BPG. All I need to do is work on his offensive game and as he gets older his defensive skills will improve too.
i see you want a dominant big man just like i do well that why i gave up on my other associations and just started one with the magic. that why i can build around him

                                Just started an association with the Magic, made a few trades and a few signings and got this;

                                PG | Gilbert Arenas (Starter/81) - Jameer Nelson (6th Man/75) - Chris Duhon (Bench Warmer/69)
                                SG | Jason Richardson (Starter/75) - J.J. Redick (Role Player/67)
SF | Mickael Pietrus (Starter/72) - Marvin Williams (Role Player/66) - Adam Morrison (Bench Warmer [IR]/54)
PF | Jason Maxiell (Starter/72) - Louis Amundson (Role Player/64)
                                C | Dwight Howard (Star/92) - Daniel Orton (Prospect/60) - Steven Hunter (Bench Warmer/56)

Decided to bring Pietrus back because I suck with Turkoglu, he moves too slow, can't make shots, can't defend, and has no upside (in the game not irl.) Pietrus can hit the outside shot, defend very well, and dunk on just about anybody. Marvin Williams is a bigger SF who is a decent prospect and Jason Maxiell I just prefer over Brandon Bass. Brought in Steven Hunter who can basically play the exact same role as Daniel Orton if he ever gets hurt. Should be interesting.
