A TOUGH ROAD TO BACK-To-BACK TITLES
    2011-12 Orlando Magic Season Recap

I was struggling along at 26-21 when I decided to make a change to shake my team up. I traded Jameer Nelson, Carlos Delfino and Tristan Thompson to the Phoenix Suns for Steve Nash & 2nd Round Pick. Phoenix was near the basement in the West so they got a younger PG in Nelson, a prospect in Thompson and an expiring contract in Delfino while I got Nash to make a run at another championship. I also signed Matt Barnes as a free agent to help out at the 3.

I didn't take off right away with Nash and I had to really change the way I was running my offense. I slowed things down, ran a lot more plays and really started to take off. It was a dog fight until the end with the Heat but I surpassed them to get the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Dwight Howard got the MVP as well as Defensive Player of the Year.

The playoffs began with a sweep of the Knicks and a sweep of the Celtics, who were without Garnett. After that was a matchup with my nemesis, the Miami Heat. This one was another war like last season and went 7 games but I prevailed to face the young, upstart Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. Nash had a real tough time guarding Westbrook and Turkoglu had a rough time with Durant. This was probably the most high scoring series I've played in 2k with both teams probably averaging 110+ per game. In the end, I won it on home court to give Steve Nash his NBA championship and win back-to-back with Orlando.

    Off-Season News

I accepted the options on Demar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka and Iman Shumpet. Declined the options for Earl Clark and Solomon Alabai. I traded Shumpert, my '13 1st Rounder and Phoenix's '12 2nd rounder to the Hornets for their '13 1st Round Pick.

My big free agent acquisation was landing Chris Paul with a five year contract. I just barely had enough cap space to sign him but making the fifth year a player option allowed me to fit him in. I also picked up Bill Walker and Ike Digou for depth while bringing back Ryan Anderson, Earl Clark and Semih Erden to round out my lineup.

    2012-13 Orlando Magic Lineup
PG: Chris Paul (96), Kemba Walker (78)
SG: Demar DeRozan (78), JJ Redick (71), Bill Walker (69)
SF: Hedo Turkoglu (73), Earl Clark (69), Kyle Singler (68)
PF: Serge Ibaka (79), Ryan Anderson (68), Ike Diogu (58)
    C: Dwight Howard (93), Semih Erden (59)

    Team Overall : 94

I'm gonna take a break from this one now and start up something with a Western Conference team, maybe Denver or San Antonio.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

      ASSOCIATION
i'm about to begin my 3RD YEAR MILWAUKEE BUCKSfranchise (play a week, sim a week)

      SUMMARY
i've updated all rosters as to recent trades and tried to manage ALL teams as realistically as possible and in accordance with objectives (i.e win now, rebuilders, ect.).
I know some people would rebuild the bucks especially as their tanking this year. But i wanted to make moves to develop them into contenders.

      NOTABLES
      1st Year
      Drafted Valanciunas,
Sign & Trade for J.J. Barea, lost Ilyasova
      Signed Thaddeus Young
Traded Maggette & 2013 1st to Cav's to free cap.
      2nd Year
Knocked out by Knicks in first round, despite being higher seed,
Valanciunas spent most of his time in D-League developing, was only rated 58 to start but very high potential.
      Drafted LeBryan Nash(comparison Ron Artest)
      3rd Year so far...
Traded Gooden & Valanciunas to Utah for Al Jefferson

      ROSTER

PG Jennings Barea Delaney(2nd round rookie)
      SG Salmons Douglas-Roberts Barbosa
      SF Th.Young Nash
      PF Jefferson MbahaMoute Sh.Williams
C Bogut Sanders Jennings(2nd round rookie)

      PICKS
current 2nd bucks, current 2nd mavs, next 1st bucks, next 2nd bucks, next 2nd mavs.

      OBJECTIVE
This is the longest i've managed to carry on a dynasty, but i need to contend this year to make it all worthwhile.
I pushed for big Al this year, but SG spot is weak, I have one of the best defenses in the league, but no creative scorer.
Thad Young has been a great addition and lit it up from three, but i'm willing to move him, CDR, Sanders(high value), MbahaMoute & picks. Will even consider moving Jennings. Any other holes can be filled through FA.

      QUESTION
What moves do I have to make to contend???
thought about beasley for a scorer? Relegate Jennings to bench and bringing new PG?

      thoughts OS???

What do you guys think of this trade?

        Grizzlies (Me) Receive:
        JR Smith, SG
        Renaldo Balkman, SF

        Nuggets Receive:
        Jason Williams, PG
        Hasheem Thabeet, C
        Damarre Carrol, SF

Im tempted to do it because I need D and Balkman can give me some off the bench. Plus another guard that can shoot other than Mayo would be nice.

Im thinking of doing a 2K11 dynasty and psoting it on here like I do with my Alabama dynasty(NCAAF11). If I do one it will be the original rosters. no updates or anything. I would like to get some opinions on what team I should use.

My fantasy draft Pistons association got boring for obvious reasons (somehow ended up with LeBron, Stoudemire and Iguodola), so I started a new one up with the Knicks.

PG: Rondo / Dragic / Ronnie Price
            SG: Afflalo / J.J. Redick
SF: Gerald Wallace / Ronnie Brewer / Luke Walton
PF: DeJuan Blair / Nick Collison / Matt Bonner
C: Mehmet Okur / David Andersen

Still in year one with the pacers. With 30 games left I am the 4 seed behind the heat, celtics and bulls. It looks like getting to the playoffs will be easy but winning will be tough i am 9-18 vs teams over .500 so something has to change. I have made a lot of trades for picks/clear space while still trying to win now.

Pg. Alston(FA), Boubises?spelling(got from mavs as a good back up.)
Sg. Mayo (big 3 team trade), Foye (part of mayo trade),
                Sf. Granger, Posey
                PF. J. Smith(trade George), Hansbourgh,
                C. Hibbert, Heywood( traded prospects for him and some picks), D. Jordan( had to take in the mayo trade to make cap work.)

I also have 2 1st rounds and 2 second rounds this year with 1 first and 3 seconds next year.

So over the last 2 weeks I decided to sim the season up to March 1, having all the correct records, trades, and roster movements.

I'm going to do one with the Cavs and looks like I'll have 2 Top10 picks. I don't know who I'm going to go with in the draft.

I re-did an entire draft class with players from 70-53 with a couple players with high potential in the end of the draft. I did this awhile ago and havent looked at the class since so I have no idea who I touched and what not.

I'm going to take over as a new owner and clear house of all coaches and players except JJ Hickson, Samardo Samuels, and Manny Harris.

I plan on using my D-League team to stash away players I draft from over-seas in the 2nd round and wont bring them to my team til I see improvement from them playing in the league.

In my Nets association, I am now 1-1. I could not contain Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Deron Williams has been huge, as well as Jersey guys J.R. Smith and David West. I'm hoping to make the playoffs.

Year 2 Heat (2010/2011 NBA Champions)

The Heat are sitting at 14-8 in year 2 and have dropped 2 straight to Atlanta and last night to Oklahoma City. Atlanta blew us off the floor in Miami and wound up winning by 15. The next night in game 2 of a back to back the Heat traveled to Oklahoma City. We hung tough for 3 quarters as we traded baskets though out the game. Going into the 4th quarter we were down 5. Kevin Durant was un-conscience from beyond the arc dropping 6 three pointers and cutting to the hoop and being fed from Westbrook who ended the game with 18 assists to go along with his 19 points. The Thunder pulled away for an easy 11 point win avenging an earlier loss to the Heat.

Next up the Heat travel to Golden State to take on the Warriors then go to LA to face the Lakers to finish off a 4 game road trip over 6 night. The Heat sit 1/5 games out of first to the surprising upstart Indiana Pacers.

The Heat also have promoted Tyson Chandler into the starting rotation at center and have regulated rookie center Mo Timmerman to third string center as the experiment of Mo starting has quickly failed. He is much to raw at this point and needs some more development and gym time. Jorel Anthony is the primary back up at center. Once Juwan Howard heals from a sore knee he will replace Timmerman as the 3rd string center.

So after the trade deadline im really exideted to start my new association

I've chosen the Knicks and ready to go!
I think i will trade Chauncey Billups before starting my first game. Dont get me wrong, he's a great player but i just cant handle him on 2k.
I'm routing for Johnyy Flynn. He's young, raw and i think with this offensive power on my team i am able to give him a very nice enviorment.
But i really dont want to see Billups going to Minnesota, so i think i will include a third team to catch me a nice PF/C.
Camby/Oden would be very nice and imagine Portland with CB

8 games to go in the season, went from the 9th seed (32-33) to the 5th seed (41-34 or something close to this) in 12 games in which im 11-1 with 3 almost losses (Suns,Raptors,Kings) I'm chasing Portland for the 4th seed and home court but honestly I might tank 2 games and fall into the 6th seed and play the Grizzlies who would be much easier than Portland plus I'm a better on the road than at home.

Over the last 5 games Gallinari is averaging a triple double, shooting horribly but makes up for it with everything else, A player I picked up from the D-league is averaging 23 points on 60% shooting in the 7 games he's played which is insane seeing as how he's a 6'3 guard. Nene and Martin has basically been over taken by Mosgove/Whiteside/Anderson. They start but they won't get back in till late 3rd quarter beginning 4th and they never finish the game

Still want to get rid of Nene/Martin(27Million)to clear up cap space. Still have to make a decision on J.R whose playing extremely well as of late, Aaron who's a knock down shooter and Felton or Lawson because I would love to move one of them for picks. Hopefully I can trade up for Sullinger or Derrick Williams falls to me. I'm leaning more to Derrick Williams because at 6'8 241 and only being I think 19 I can convert him into a Lebron type player within the next 2-3 years and he can be my star and in those 2-3 years of him developing I can put the perfect team around him he can step straight into and take them pretty far

Is anyone having a problem playing against terrible teams? I start extremely slow usually not even cracking 20 in the first quarter but teams that are in the playoffs and rated higher than me I've dominated I've beat the Hornets and Spurs by 40 and the Heat by 25 but the Raptors and Suns who have no chance to get to the playoffs I've won by three and the Clippers I lost to by 7

Having a BLAST with my Cavs franchise. Im in year 3 right now and im finally doing really well. (11-5, 4th in East)
After getting bounced in the first round 4-1 last year i decided to trade away most of the players that were left (which i felt was realistic since after this year irl the cavs will probably blow up there roster.)
                              My roster is:
PG-Ramon Session, Jimmer Fredette, C.J. Watson (reserve)
SG-Aaron Afflalo, T-Mac(playing amazing for me righ now)
                              SF-Luol Deng, AK47, Luke Babbit
                              PF-JJ Hickson,Anderson Varejo
