I've recently traded Bynum for Amare.

    Starting 5:
    Pg.kirk Hinrich
    Sg.Kobe Bryant
    Sf.Ron Artest
    Pf.Amare Stodemire
    C.Pau Gasol

    Bench:
    Pg.Derek Fisher
    Sg.Shannon Brown
    Sf.Matt Barnes
    Pf.Lamar Odom
    C.Ronny Turiaf

Let me know about my team and any suggestions on what to do. Thanks.
Hmm, Bynum for Amare, both have their share of leg problems but Bynum should be around a little longer. You improved offensively, and NY improved defensvely. Being a Laker fan, i personally wouldn't do it b/c LA has so much firepower already.

Brown, Barnes, and Odom will all test your patience b/c all of them want to be starters. Most likely have to deal 1 or 2 of them by the AS break.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm in year 1 with the Pistons. In the first round of the playoffs as a 7 seed and just took a 2-0 lead over the 2 seed Bulls.

I made some roster moves. (Things I thought the Pistons should have done).
Traded away Rip, Tay, Tmac, and Big Ben. Basically the roster looks completely different.

I taded Rip, Tayshaun, and Jason Maxiell to the Kings for Samuel Dalembert and Jason Thompson

I traded Tmac and Ben Wallace to the 76ers for Thaddeus Young and a 2nd round pick for 2011.

Later on I traded Chris Wilcox to the Clippers for Willie Warren.

I added Juan Dixon after the Kings trade. I traded him a couple months later (he was disgruntled) to the Bobcats for Kwame Brown.

Just another trade note: The Spurs got JJ Hickson for virtually NOTHING.

      Starting 5
      PG-Rodney Stuckey
      SG-Ben Gordon
      SF-Thaddeus Young
      PF-Jason Thompson
      C-Greg Monroe

      Bench
      6th Man- Samuel Dalembert
      7-Charlie Villanueva
      8-Austin Daye
      9- Terrico White
      10- Jonas Jerebko
      11- Will Bynum
      12- Kwame Brown

      Reserves
      Willie Warren
      Dajuan Summers

      Notes
Daye has really impressed all year.
When Gordon went down with a broken foot Stuckey averaged 28 ppg and 11 assists.
Ben Gordon has been annoyingly injury prone.
Dalembert, Monroe, and Daye have been great defensively. We lead the league in team blocks.
Jason Thompson has been disappointing for the most part.
Charlie V's progress has been awesome. At the start of the season he couldn't guard anything. Through development I've made him into a great post defender.

Young, Summers, Stuckey, Jerebko, Dalembert, and Brown all have expiring deals. Thompson, White, and Warren all have team options for next season.

Maybe someone, a Pistons fan hopefully, could give me some insight on who to keep around and who to dump. I would like to keep Stuckey, and Dalembert. Young would be great but I don't think he'll resign.

Your right but me personally I don't like the way Bynum plays plus I barely use him. I would rather have Amare and Gasol to help me score.

I was simulating though a couple seasons to see if I could put together a team with no star and if they could win a championship and midway through the 2nd season I happened to notice Stephen Curry was averaging 47ppg then the season after that he was averaging 50.4/7.1/5.3 or something crazy like that led his team to a championship averaging 48ppg for that series, over the 3 years I had simulated his career average jumped up to 33.4 and in the fourth season he's averaging 48/6/7 I'm going to keep simulating to see if he breaks the scoring record which it looks like he's going to shatter pretty easily

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Managed to win the title in the second season with the Clippers after having the worst record in the league the season before.

In the finals it was 4-0 over the Bobcats who I was quite surprised to see there. they put up a good fight but every game ended comfortably for me by about 10 pts.

It was an interesting offseason to be honest - Rudy Fernandez and Von Wafer, (both my backup shooting guards) left for free agency, while Shaq and 3rd-string point guard Mike James retired - the former becoming a Hall of Famer in the process along with Jason Kidd.

I decided to do as I said and make an offer for Ronny Turiaf in free agency, which he accepted on a 4-year deal.

I signed SG Bill Walker, re-signed PG Willie Warren, and picked up Pops Mensah-Bonsu as well.

One thing which I had a great time doing was creating my own draft class. I wanted to create some distinctive characters as opposed to the uninteresting ones the computer dishes up.

For example I made a SF who is mediocre at most things but dunks like a beast, a 7'4" defensive center, an injury-prone potential all-star shooting guard, an English guy with a big afro, and a peroxide-blonde Point guard with a sweet passing touch.

I haven't gone overboard with the players, just improving a few here and there, and changing a few names. The best player in the draft is a 6'7 Shooting Guard in the LeBron/Kobe mould at 81 overall, and the second is a Ukranian Power Forward at 78.

I've actually made a couple of trades to get an extra couple of draft picks so I can hopefully draft some of my edited players to help build my team in the future.

On the gameplay itself - I was winning the first game of the year by 10 after about 18 minutes, so I stuck the difficulty up to All-Star. From winning by 10 with a 60% FG rate, and the CPU having about 45%, I lost by 10 and the CPU ended up shooting 54% to my 52.

Any tips for sliders either to make Pro harder or make All-Star manageable?

I'm now thinking of staying at Pro until I win another NBA title. Is changing the gameplay style to Simulation a good idea?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Started a realistic association with the Clippers. The goal was to make it as real as possible, with all draft picks to correct teams, real draft classes, and players actually leaving during free agency. I'm in 2012-2013 right now.

In Blake Griffin's rookie season, the Clippers made the intresting, to say the least, move of trading away their 2011 1st round pick as a way of losing Baron Davis' contract. The team apparently wasn't a huge fan of the current draft class. The team showed signs of life, mainly in the form of Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon, but stumbled to a record of 35-47. Chris Kaman was named to the all-star team, his 2nd appearance. Unfortunatly, Blake Griffin was robbed of the Rookie of the Year award, with John Wall claiming the honor. He was named to the All-Rookie 1st team though. Chris Kaman also recieved All-NBA 3rd team recognition. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Chicago Bulls in the Finals, with Tim Duncan as the MVP.

This is a crutial off-season for the Clippers. The number 1 priority was to re-sign young center DeAndre Jordan and they did, agreeing on a 4 year/$35.56M contract. As mentioned before, the Clippers don't have a 1st round pick, but they own 2 second rounders. It didn't stop them from making a big splash though. In a blockbuster move, the Clippers sent Chris Kaman, Mo Williams, and Ryan Gomes to Philadelphia for Andre Iguodala and Andres Nocioni. This fills a huge void for L.A. giving them the small forward they needed to balance the line-up. Unfortunatly, losing Mo Williams left them lean at point guard, but at 36th overall, the Clips got a steal in 2011 ACC Player of the Year PG Nolan Smith. At 38th, the Clippers took a chance on a boom or bust player, Jeremy Tyler. The hometown kid from San Diego Senior HS made waves when he dropped out of high school to play pro ball in Europe. After an up and down season in Japan that was cut short by the tsunami, he fell to the 2nd round where the Clips hope he develops. Perry Jones ended up going #1 overall to Toronto.

To round out the roster, the Clips made two well...... very Clipper-esque moves. Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison were both signed to one year deals to provide depth. Around the league, the Nets were the big winners of the David West sweepstakes, while Yao Ming is headed to Golden State. Jeff Green was also stolen from Boston by Indiana, and Zach Randolph moved south to become the man in Charlotte. Also, the Pacers completed the OJ Mayo/Josh McRoberts trade which fell through at the deadline. The Clippers haven't improved alot, but they've found some future pieces this off-season.

A new season, a few new faces on the roster, and a ton of optimism surround the Clippers this season. Eric Bledsode has taken the reigns as the starting Pg, DeAndre Jordan steps in at the Center slot, and Andre Iguodala is here as the elite wing the Clips craved. The team didn't do much better though. A 31-51 record was the result, but that didnt seem to matter. Andre Iguodala became an all-star for the 1st time in his career, and Blake Griffin averaged a team high 18.6 PPG. Iguodala was named to the All-NBA 2nd team. The Miami Heat won the championship led by the MVP performance of LeBron James. The season was over, but the most important summer in Clippers history was on the horizon.

The 2012 free agent crop is highlighted by Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Dwight Howard. Deron Williams ended up loving it in New Jersey, signing an extention in March. Chris Paul and Dwight Howard? Different story. They both were fed up and left their teams. Knowing this, the Clippers strategically only had 7 players (Andre Iguodala, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Nolan Smith, Jeremy Tyler, Al-Farouq Aminu, Eric Bledsode) under contract. They decided to wait it out and tender Eric Bledsode a qualifying offer so they could match an offer for him. Also, the 2012 draft is deep on high end talent, highlighted by Duke standout Austin Rivers, and the Kentucky freshman trio of Michael Gilchrist, Anthony Davis, and Marquis Teague. The Clippers owned two lottery picks, their own and Minnesota's. The Timberwolves pick ended up being 3rd overall, and the Clippers used it to select speedy Kentucky Pg Marquis Teague. Then, the Clip pulled off a smart trade, swaping their own pick (9th) with Boston for the 19th and 25th overall picks. At 19, L.A. selected French star Sg Evan Fournier. At 25, they double dipped taking French Sg Paul Lacombe. They tapped France once again with pick 36, selecting high upside big man Rudy Gobert. The plan was to stash these 3 in Europe for an extra year, opening up more cap space. The "French Connection" as the media tabbed them, would prove to be huge in the summer for the Clips.

As soon as the clock struck midnight on July 1st, the Clips were in on Dwight Howard and Chris Paul. Two days in, Chris Paul shocked the world be signing with the Boston Celtics, and teaming up with Rajon Rondo. With the retirements of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, the Celts needed the star power. A few days later, Dwight Howard would shock the world, as he announced he would be signing with..... the Los Angeles Clippers. He agreed to a 5 year/$100.29M contract, complete with a no trade clause. The Clips later agreed to a 5 year/$56.84M contract with Eric Gordon, giving them more star power than they ever imagined. The Clips weren't done though, as they decided to become the French capital of the NBA. Nicolas Batum signed on to a 3 year/$16.95 offer sheet that Portland opted not to match. Filling out the roster, the Clips went French again with low risk/high upside players Ian Mahinmi and Pape Sy. Kyle Korver signed on to a league minimum contract as well.

After a crazy summer, the Clips had to decide how to fill the roster. The decision was made that Evan Fournier is ready, while Rudy Gobert and Paul Lacombe needed to be stashed in France for another year. Also, Kurt Rambis has been hired as the new coach. The Clippers are ready to roll in 2012-2013. Here's the roster.

Nice read It's interesting how you pretty much did the same as me straight away and got a better Small Forward.

I got Luol Deng in a trade but then I traded him as I had the first pick and took Perry Jones.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I started my association a while ago with the Orlando Magic. Doing really well so far, in my 4th season. Took me 3 seasons to finally win that elusive NBA Championship even though I had a very strong team. I got really lucky in my 2nd season. I had 2 late lottery draft picks with 0.5% and 0.7% of getting the no. 1 pick, but guess what? I got the 1st and 14th pick. With the first pick I selected Clarck Hoffman, a great point guard to play alongside Darren Collison. Here's my roster a few years later.

                        PG - Clark Hoffman (92) - Drafted | Darren Collison (90)
                        SG - Darren Collison (90) | Rudy Dunleavy (68) - Drafted | Richard McCants (69)
                        SF - Wilson Chandler (87) | Danyl Orson (78) - Rookie | Luc Mbah A Moute (71)
                        PF - Josh Smith (87) | Theo Forrest (78) - Rookie | Brandon Bass (71)
                        C - Dwight Howard (94) | Anderson Varejao (69)

What do you think? My overall rating is 99 for the team but Wilson Chandler (a BIG piece of the roster) is planning on opting out of his contract at the end of this season but if I re-sign him I'm not sure if I can re-sign Hoffman the next season. Hoffman is still on his rookie contract but this season is the last year in his contract. Good thing he wants to come back, but I don't know if I can afford to keep both on big contracts. I'm already 32 mil over the salary cap...

I simmed the 20101-2011 season I traded 2 snd round picks and a 2012 1st round pick for the Nets 2011 1st round pick. I ended up with the 5th and 7th picks. I traded back. So I think I had like the 7th and the 13th pick. I got Sullinger and Kemba Walker. I traded for AK-47. I traded later for Granger because the Pacers drafted Perry Jones. I traded AK 47 away for Odom who the Lakers put on the block. I signed J.R. Smith, Jeff Foster, and Troy Murphy. I made some other moves but my lineup looks like this.

                          PG Kemba Walker 81
                          SG Tyreke Evans 92
                          SF Danny Granger 82
                          PF Jared Sullinger 82
                          C Demarcus Cousins 79
                          6 Lamar Odom 76
                          7 J.R. Smith around 70
                          8 Troy Murphy around 70
                          9 Jeff Foster ??
                          10 Jimmer Fredette 70
                          11 Jermaine Taylor ??
12 Michael Peitrus 71 or something
Res- Donte Greene or some scrub probably around a 63
Res- Hassian Whiteside Like a 65
                          Res- Daquan Cook 63

Year 1 - 10-6 Lost in WC Round
Year 2 - 14-2 Lost in AFC Championship

I think imma try to trade Josh Smith and Krik Hendrick for Darren Williams, should I do this?

                            My starting five would be

                            1. Darren Williams
                            2. Joe Johnson
                            3. Fariq Aminu
                            4. Al Horford
                            5. De'Andre Jordan

What do you think about that squad!

I'm currently in the process of turning the Toronto Raptor's franchise around...

                              I'm simming through the seasons

I'm currently in my first season

I traded Amir Johnson and our 2012 pick to Cleveland for JJ Hickson & Cleveland's 2011 pick

before the trade deadline I traded a 2nd round pick & Joey Dorsey to Indiana for Brandon Rush

Also traded JJ Hickson and our 2011 pick to Minnesota for Kevin Love...

I plan on trying to draft Kyrie Irving to get a franchise PG with Cleveland's first round pick

starting lineup looks like this so far

                              Jose Calderon
                              Leandro Barbosa
                              Demar Derozan
                              Kevin Love
                              Andrea Bargnani

                              Bench:
                              Ed Davis
                              Jarryd Bayless
                              Brandon Rush
                              Reggie Evans
                              Sonny Weems
                              James Johnson

                              Cleveland 2011 Pick

We're a little soft defensively down low...but Im working on Andrea's defense.. Demar's high flying dunks & Kevin Love & Andrea's 3 point shooting should provide some pretty entertaining basketball to feel a couple seats in Toronto you think? This will be a team no one has ever seen before..

                              Wish Me Luck lol

                                I'm about to start a 76ers chise.

Here are a few of my goals.

Play all 29 games, haven't decided on which sliders i'm going to use.

                                - Get 8th Seed or higher in my first year.
                                - Develop Jrue Holiday
                                - In the off season pick up some key pieces, trade away unnecessary contracts.
                                - Have Fun.
                                - The most important one of all, be realistic.

Let's see if i can achieve these goals.
