I don't want to trade away Love, but i might try to trade Beasley for him... I'll try to milk an draft pick alongside Oden.
I think i'll try to move Telfair, Pekovic and Tolliver too...

      Thanks for you response Steven123!

How is Hasheem Thabeet in this game? Has anyone had him in their association? I think he is an 59 ovr & C+ potential in my rosters. How does he develop?

I'll start this association today, gonna post my roster later

Well, here's highlights from my Game 1 of the playoffs of my Year 1 Nets franchise. 82 games (only play away games) and I play on HOF. I play all playoff games. Finished the regular season 41-41 but lost Brook Lopez in the 81st game while I was still struggling to secure a playoff spot. I finished 7th but without Lopez I rather not have made it at all. None of the trades were made as I started this before all of that so you can kind of guess my dilemma. Here's how the first game versus the Bulls went:

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Decided to start with the Golden State Warriors instead, made couple of trades:

Warriors trade: Jeff Adrien, '11 1st round pick
Bobcats trade: '11 1st round pick, '12 1st round pick

          (Tradefinder...)

Warriors trade: Vladimir Radmanovic, Jeremy Lin
          Thunder trade: Nazr Mohammed

Warriors trade: Charlie Bell, '12 2nd round pick
          Kings trade: Francisco Garcia

I also signed veteran PG Rafer Alston to an 1-year contract worth 760k.

Now my lineup looks like this:
          PG: Curry/Alston/Law
          SG: Ellis/Garcia
          SF: Wright/Thornton/Williams
          PF: Lee/Udoh/Amundson
          C: Biedrins/Mohammed

I may trade Thornton at the deadline, not sure yet...

Gonna play all the home games, and maybe some intresting away games.

Anyone hate the fact that teams like the Wolves Raptors and Cavs are able to win 25+ games? and if you adjust the rotations for teams, before starting a franchise. Will that continue to the franchise or will it auto reset?

year 3 going on year 4 the wolves have the best record in the west. by at least 5 games. they got their starting line they have now besides beasley which i traded for in year 2 before I self traded myself player lock McGee to hornets in year 3 after winning the chip.

I figure it's a more fair way of doing it and a split between how I'm doing as a player and how my team fairs in a simulation.

At the All-Star break, I'm in 10th place in the East but I have a good stretch coming up against teams at or below my level. I'm hoping to sneak into that 8th spot even though I'll likely get crushed by Boston or Miami. I'll get some decent Reward Points to use on my young players.

Both John Wall and Monta Ellis made the All-Star Game for me. Ellis is leading the league in points while Wall is first in assists. Despite that, Ellis isn't listed in the MVP award race. I wonder how high in the standings I'd need to get for him to be in the race?
how much minutes are they getting per game. Same was with McGee (playerlock) my stats are better than howards he average a point or two more than me. other than that we are either the same or im better than him stat wise.

McGee was averaging only 30 minutes per game so now that i been averaging around 40 i finally made into to top 5. due to the fact my minutes per game are a little under 35. to beat lebron for mvp i'm have to hit the 40 mark minutes per game.

Is it just me, or do the Pacers have the best defense in the game, I have yet to beat them in two seasons on All-Star.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

After going down 0-3 in the first round of the playoffs to the Magic, I went ahead and simmed game 4. Bulls get swept out of the playoffs thanks to injuries to Rose and Noah. The finals ended up being Thunder vs Bucks (go figure). Thunder swept 4-0, and Durant got the mvp.

So far in the off season, I've picked up the team option on Rose and re-signed Noah to a 5 year deal worth about $11m/year. He's an excellent low post defender, something we sorely missed in our playoff round against Orlando. Without him, we were consistently outscored in the paint, couldn't do anything to keep them out of the paint, and without Rose, we couldn't get anyone going offensively in the mid-range/3pt game. So my goal this off-season is to get more low post defenders and mid to long range shooters on the wing who aren't defensive liabilities.

Since I chose not to re-sign anyone else, that leaves me with:

                    Rose/House
                    Nelson (my created player)
                    Deng/Korver
                    Boozer
                    Noah

It also has me $2.5m over the salary cap already. I want to dump Korver's $5m (he was just way too inconsistent this season), and House proved in the playoff's that he simply isn't cut out to be Rose's backup (his contract is only about $1.5m). How will this salary cap situation affect me going forward? Will I be able to sign rookies after the draft? Will I be able to fill my roster with any free agents (obviously for minimum money)? I'm not really sure how the soft cap works. The problem is Boozer's large contract, and the computer gave my created player a ridiculous 3 year/$24m contract (paying me more than Rose). Is there a way to edit that? I'd call that cheating, except it's such a ridiculous deal for a rookie who started out as a 69 overall.

Speaking of my player (because the game mode is completly unrealistic), I created a small athletic SG (think Allen Iverson type) about 6'2 maybe and 69 overall. I was aiming for around the level of a late first round, early second round pick. Player progression added 4 points to my overall after the season. Averaged about 21 min/game, 6+ points and a handful of rebounds and assists. Shooting percentages were poor, but picked up nicely in the playoffs, and with tons of potential, should continue to improve. Ultimately, my plan is that if my created self doesn't re-sign with the bulls after year 3, I'll take over whatever team I do sign with.

So, to sum it all up, I've got a salary cap problem, but I also have a core of 5 starters I really like. How can I get depth this off-season to try to make a deeper play off run next season?

I should probably be more pissed about the injures to Rose and Noah right before the playoffs, but such is life in the NBA. We kept the games against Orlando close (very low scoring, defensive battles), but we just couldn't get it going without them.

Currently 41-21 with the Bulls and 3rd in the East and a game out from the #1 spot which currently the Heat hold.

I'm in a really tough stretch right now going 6-4 in the last 10. Noah is out once again and out 3rd time this season. The East is still a mess though as spots 6, 7 and 8 are all under .500.

                        2010-11 (Simmed)

Bobcats: Went 33-49, finished 5 games out for the 8th and final seed in the East, which went to the Magic. Stephen Jackson ended up averaging 26.7 PPG, and pretty much carried our team most of the year. Got the 8th overall pick in the draft and ended up taking Jimmer Fredette, and traded our second round pick along with D.J. White to the Cavs for the first round pick next year. Signed Michael Pietrus to fill a roster spot.

Around the NBA: Celtics went 65-17 in the regular season (Including a 50-7 start), and cruised to the best record in the league. Spurs were the top seed in the west, with the Lakers finishing as the 5 seed and the Thunder as the 4 seed. Derrick Rose won MVP and Most Improved Player by averaging 34 points, 6 boards, and 8 assists per game, and John Wall won ROY averaging 17 points and 8 assists per game (Despite Blake Griffin's 20 and 10 average).

Playoffs: 8 seeded Portland stuns the Spurs in 6 games in the first round, and the Lakers sweep the Thunder in the first as well. Celtics cruise to the finals, winning in 4, 5, and 5 games a piece in the East, and the Lakers win in 4, 6, and 6 in the West. Lakers go up 3-1 in the Finals, but the Celtics storm back and take the final 3 to capture their 2nd title in the past 4 years.

Draft: Cavs take Derrick Williams at #1 overall, Harrison Barnes to the Jazz at #2, Kyrie Irving to the Pistons at #3, and Kemba goes to the Raptors at #4.

Just lost in double OT to the Cavs with the Pacers.

The game was completely rigged. Every time I got a good look the ball would roll off the rim or bounce in and out. So frustrating especially when you come back from being down 6 with two contested threes. /vent

Sigh....well I FINALLY finished the regular season and my Bulls got the #3 seed. The funny thing is, my playoff is pretty much identical to the real NBA. Here's the bracket:

                            West

                            (1) San Antonio vs. (8) Memphis
                            (4) Portland vs. (5) Oklahoma City
                            (2) Dallas vs. (7) Denver
                            (3) L.A. Lakers vs. (6) Golden State

                            East

                            (1) Boston vs. (8) NY Knicks
                            (4) Atlanta vs. (5) Orlando
                            (2) Miami vs. (7) Milwaukee
                            (3) Chicago vs. (6) Indiana

Me and IND are tied 1-1 so we'll see how it turns out.

Anybody use the Hawks. They have a lot of guys who can score but are in no mans land. Don't have what it takes to get to the finals and are a middle of the pack team, don't even mention their cap situation its horrid. They seem like a fun team to use
