Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I tried it last night and the better deal is going with Washington and trading McGee, Yi, Young & Crawford to GS for Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins & 1st Round Pick (#18). I used the Wizards lottery pick to grab Derrick Williams to my starting lineup would be Wall / Ellis / Lewis / Blatche / Biedrins with Williams as the sixth man.
With GS I had to trade up to a Top 5 pick, draft Kanter and then trade Curry, Udoh, Kanter & next years 1st for Wall. The starting 5 would be Wall / Ellis / Wright / Lee / Biedrins and a bench that would have to be a bunch of free agents.
I'm surprised I have to add so much to the Curry deal to get Wall.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Im 5 years in on mine as the Heat. However i traded Bosh before game 1 year one. Got nothing really in return at the time so i though. However the draft pick ended up being the number 1 overall. With that i got a SG that i converted to a PG. Who since has won rookie of the year, 2x defensive player of the year. Great pickup for me. Also in year one right before trade deadline Dwade got sent packing in a deal that ended up bringing my boy Mello to Miami. Lebron is now my pf mello sf. Only 2 notable stars on the team in year one.. rest of the team i traded in attempt to saturate the draft that offseason. Which i succedded. Even made it to 2nd round in playoffs. That offseason i drafted 2 Sgs (kept one, traded the other, and kept a center and a sf i drafted all 3 are now starting for me) Lebron in year 5 is coming of the bench splitting mellos minutes i moved both to PF because the SF i drafted is just amazing with them as pf. my bench lineup besides lebron are all 2nd year players cept for 2. Tim Duncan (acquired through freeagency) and the one draft pick i didnt either trade or waive from the previous year. Still undecided on his future heading towards my 5th trade deadline. my current starting lineup is as follows..
PG- Jeffrey Dixon (a custom guy i made as backup to him rated 79 overall)
SG- J.R. Smith (harry wolfe n harry hill backing him up then i have another guy who dont play hardly any minutes... cant think of name lol)
SF- Dee Hawkins (Chris Dawkings as a backup for him)
PF- Mello (lebron as his back up)
C- Peter Johnson (Homer Justice is his back up)
The before mention Duncan is on reserve for me... Out injured landing him here. All but Duncan J.r. Smith, Mell, Lebron, and my custom Pg i have acquired thru draft. Ive won 2 tittles, made it to finals another year but lost in game 7 to Kobe and the Lakers. and failed ot make playoffs year one.. im playing on HOF mode with some tweeked sliders to make the game bareable. Been having a blast so far tho with some great games played no real blowouts best i did was + 20 against the bobcats once.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I started my Spurs association over after the NBA trade deadline. I have been siming and playing, and I'm almost to the all-star break year 1. I definitely have plans for the future with my aging Spurs line-up. I have been playing with the base line-up and have found some favs to hold on to. I would like to keep the "big 3" together along with Hill and Blair and some other key roll players. I'm looking to improve through the draft with the likes of Perry Jones, Derrick Williams, Harrison Barnes, Donatas Motiejunas, Terrence Jones, Enes Kanter, Jared Sullinger. Basically versatile guys with good size that can play the 5,3 or 4. I'm looking for a couple of young guys to build around, so they need to be high lottery picks. I like guys who can play the 3 or 4. To make a long story short I turned all my draft picks 2- 1st rounders, 2-2nd rounders, Gary Neal and Bonner into 2- 1st rounders this year and a 2nd next year. These picks belong to Cleveland and Houston. Oh and I picked up Brad Miller along the way. I then signed Sherron Collins(PG, mid lv except) and veteran Tim Thomas(PF/SF, min). Now I'll show you my line-up/rotation in season 1 and the changes I plan on making.
5-Blair/Miller/McDyess
4-Duncan/Splitter/Blair
3-Jefferson/J. Anderson/Ginobili
2-Ginobili/Hill/J. Anderson
1-Parker/Hill/Ginobili
Quin, Collins, Thomas and Novak are my benchwarmers
Then next year...
5-Duncan/Blair/Splitter
4-1st rd pick(PF/SF)/Blair/Splitter
3-P. Jones/Jefferson/J. Anderson
2-Ginobili/Hill/J. Anderson
1-Parker/Hill
Or...
5-Duncan/Splitter
4-P. Jones/Blair
3-Jefferson/1st rd pick
2-Ginobili/Anderson
1-Parker/Hill
Perry Jones, my other 1st rd pick, Hill, Blair, Anderson and Splitter can all step up as Duncan and Ginobili end their careers.Dallas CowboysSan Antonio SpursTexas RangersBaylor Bears Iowa Hawkeyes Texas LonghornsComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
It´s a season end (10 games left to play in regular season) and Im with Indiana Pacers. I have made couple trades and my team looks like this:
PG: Darren Collison, TJ Ford
SG: James Harden, Brandon Rush, Mike Dunleavy, Lance Stephenson
SF: Wesley Johnson, James Posey
PF: Kevin Love, Psycho T
C: Roy Hibbert, Eddy Curry, Salomon Jones
Im going to playoffs with this group but it´s likely that Im going out in the first round vs. Celtics, Bulls or Heat. So my goal is on the next season, my team is going to be much better.
I get around 35M$ free salary cap (Ford, Dunleavy and Curry ------> out), and Im going to sign superstar. My main goal is to get Carmelo Anthony, who is going to test his value at the free agency. With him and solid rookie (maybe Brandon Knight would be possible?) my team is going to be much better. Of course my team is also year older and better (my team is very young as you can see) so maybe we can be already contenders to the championship? We shall see.
P.S One question: How can I get my teams chemistry up? Its a very poor right now, 8%...Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My 76ers association just got ruined..I was in the draft after my 2nd season and realized their were repeat players from my first draft (downloaded 2012 class from a dif GT than 2011 class) I had planned to just change the names afterwards but u cant do that for some reason. It sucks because I liked the way my team was shaping up after 2 years. Oh wel..time to restart.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Year 1/82 Games/12 Min. Qtrs. (play the game of the week/sim the rest)
Just clinched a spot in the playoffs with the Bulls with a record of 46-33. Currently the 6th seed with 3 games left. That would put me against the Magic in the first place (but they also have the same record as the Heat, so that could change). Ironically, my next played game is at Orlando before simming the final week. If I do end up getting the Heat in the 1st round, they're without D. Wade (broken jaw, 4-6 weeks). Somehow, I'm 1.5 games behind the Bucks in the Division.
My rotation looks like (I started my association on day 1 with the rosters that shipped with the game):
Rose/Eddie House/Carlos Arroyo
S. Nelson (my created self)/Korver/House
Deng/Korver
Boozer/Mensah-Bonsu
Glen "Big Baby" Davis/Cook (D-League call up)
Reserves: J. Johnson, K. Bogans
Out with injuries: Noah (torn hand ligament, 2-4 weeks); Gibson (torn patellar tendon, 6-8 months)
Right before the trade deadline, I traded Kurt Thomas and CJ Watson for Arroyo and House. I also traded Brewer and my '12 1st round pick to the Celtics for Davis and their '12 1st round pick.
Other notable computer trades: The Clippers traded Randy Foye and '11 1st round pick to Suns for Steve Nash. The Blazers traded LaMarcus Aldridge and Elliot Williams to the Warriors for David Lee and '11 2nd round pick. The Lakers traded Shannon Brown and Steve Black to the Pistons for Will Bynum and Ben Wallace. The Wizards traded Yi Jianlian and Kirk Hinrich to the Mavs for Rodrigue Beaubois and Tyson Chandler. The Rockets traded Luis Scola and Jared Jeffries to the Pistons for Tracy McGrady and Rip Hamilton. The Celtics trade Nate Robinson and Brian Scalabrine to the Knicks for A.I. and Roger Mason. The Suns traded Grant Hill and Channing Frye to the Blazers for Nicolas Batum and Joel Przybilla.
There have also been some notable season ending injuries: Camby, Hansbrough, Artest, and Rondo.
Other surprises: the Cavs have a winning record (41-39) and fighting with the Pacers (42-38) for the final spot in the East. Out West, the Blazers haven't imploded with injuries and have locked up the top spot in the conference (54-26). The Jazz didn't implode (46-37). They're fighting for a playoff spot with the Hornets and Grizzlies. The Nuggets haven't traded Melo, but won't be in the playoffs (36-44). The Suns stink at 27-52.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started an association as the Magic yesterday. Playing 29 game season with 6min quarters and I am currently 2-2 in the season. Beat Hornets and Bobcats first 2 games and then lost to the Mavs and Lakers. Tbf to the Mavs they were lucky in the last minute of the game and the Lakers I had an awful shooting display from 3 point land. 1 of 13 or something ridiculous.
Don't know if I will be trading anyone yet. A lot of interest in Orton if I wanted to trade him. He will never start over Dwight and I can get a better PF or SF if I trade him but I might wait a bit. Turkoglu really annoying me. Seems to have an awkward shot release or maybe it's just me, wouldn't mind getting rid of him tbh.Comment

I had him in my Raptors franchise a year or two ago, and he was useful. His real-life reputation as a troublemaker means I don't really have an interest in signing him again.
What's your line-up? You could always play Dwight as PF and Orton at C if you don't have a decent PF.Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just finished my first season with the Hawks, I went 20-32, on all-star default sliders. Jamal Crawford wont sign back with me, despite starting him at pg (maybe he didnt want to play pg?). Whats up with the off season training only giving me 50 points, and the drills are like 30 and 40pts?
Here is my starting 5 going into next season
Kemba Walker
Joe Johnson
Gerald Wallace
Al Horford
De'Andre Jordan
Greg Odom
Refer Austin
Peja Stovachovich
Any tips on how to beat the computer would be helpful, I hope to make it to the playoffs this season.Comment
