well i may be wrong but i dont think any of those three have contracts that would fit under the hornets cap space, west makes 7 or 8 mil so youd probably have to add at least 1 or 2 players to get any of those three

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Iam so pissed off in my Wizards Association.
So I'm using Wizards, the only trade I made was Anthony Randolph for Andray Blatche. As soon as I made my trade my team became dominant -_-. So I see this, so I move the game up to HoF and get even more challenging sliders. I get to good with using the Wizards and start dominating with the sliders. So I decided to sim the rest of the season until I get some decent, more difficult realistic sliders.
As I'm simming I'm seeing that we are beasting through the NBA beating teams like Miami, Orlando, Bulls and the Celtics. I'm like WTF! This maybe because the way I would dominate with Wall in the beginning of the season. He was having a MVP type caliber season, had a stretch where he was averaging 13 assist. He won roookie of the year and made it to the AllStar game as a reserve. He ended the season averaging 19 and 8.
Fast forward to the end of the season, I'm dissapointed because damn near every game I simulated we scored past 100 thats not realistic IMO to score past 100 every other game especially with the Wizards. So I simmed to the Playoffs we made the Playoffs with a record of 49-33. I'm so pissed because I didn't want to make the Playoffs I think it's unrealistic for the Wizards to have the 7th best winning record in the league, make the Playoffs and dominate like this, especially with this roster. There is so much BS in this Association, the Nuggets are the best team in the NBA with the best record, the Lakers DID NOT even make the Playoffs. Like WTF is up with that. There's to much BS going on.
I'm thinking about deleting this franchise, and try rebuilding another team. But I'm gonna play the Playoffs with a different set of challenging sliders. Were facing the Pacers, this should be a good one. So what do you guys think I should do? Scrap this association and start a new one? Or just rock out with more difficult slider sets and see if things might go the least bit realistic?
Sorry for the long post.Last edited by AllStarDaDon; 04-30-2011, 10:38 AM.Add me om PSN for a good game of basketball!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My team Nets
PG- Deron Williams 96 overall/ Kalin Lucas 68 overall
SG- Courtney Lee 75 overall/ Lance Stephenson 71 overall
SF- Kevin Durant 98 overall/ Rashard Lewis 74 overall
PF- Blake Griffin 93 overall/ Serge Iblaka 80 overall
C- Dwight Howard 97 overall/ Deandre Jordan 74 overall
By the way Rashard is not on his original deal, he's on a one year 3 million.
I won the championship last year, and this year I won 73 games, and I'm in the first round against the magic with Brook Lopez and OJ Mayo. Blowout time.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My Bulls team (started with the Thunder's roster)
PG - Curry
SG - Gay (Battier)
SF - Durant (Battier)
PF - Ibaka (Udoh)
C - Chandler (Thabeet)
9th man - Rush
Game 1 was a near DISASTER at Indiana as I trailed by 16 at one point. Curry was ICE COLD the entire game and Durant just couldn't get it going. Luckily having 3 scorers paid off as Gay REALLY got it going in the second half and brought us back for an improbable comback win scoring 52 points which we needed every single one of them to offset Granger's 42 points!
My team's philosophy is simple, find the hot hand between the 3 scorers and everyone play defense and board. Battier did a fine job coming in and playing some nice D. Hopefully Curry will figure things out in game 2 and I wont have to be so one dimensional.
If any of you have never taken Gay and run the Alley Ooop designed plays, well GO DO IT! It's nice! He is a beast!Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Ha, good question.
If I have to pick 1 team's court/colors/jerseys (alternate uniforms) to play with I pick the Bulls. I really don't have a favorite pro team.
I chose the Thunder versus the Bulls to start with for a couple of reasons.
1) Bulls roster is already ranked #1 OVR
2) Thunder roster allows me to really get all the players that I want to use.
My roster above ended up being ranked #5 roster OVR according to this game.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Denver Nuggets
I finished my first year as the Denver Nuggets post trade deadline roster finally playing half the games and simming the other half. I play superstar sim sliders. My team finished at 42-40 losing out on the playoffs because of the tiebreaker to the Warriors. The Heat won the Championship against the (Blazers!) 4-2.
In the off-season a couple moves I traded Afflalo and Harrington to the Lakers for an unhappy Lamar Odom and Derrick Character, I kept JR Smith and Kenyon Martin who I signed real cheap to a 1 year deal. I also signed Chandler to a 6 year deal. The draft had me picking at number 14 where I took Kemba Walker, I also took Jeremy Hazell at 2nd round pick 7 and Kenneth Faried at 2 p 16. Interestingly the Hawks traded up in the draft to the Cavs pick they got from the Clips. They traded Josh Smith and a scrub for the 1st round pick and a throw in from Cleveland. I turned around after the draft and sent Odom, Kenyon Martin, and Ray Felton to the Cavs for J SMoove. I love getting Josh Smith because makes my power forward position so athletic and fast and I just love playing with him in this game.
I'm looking to make a more athletic team through all of this and hopefully pick up either CP3 or D12 this offseason and then I should have a solid championship team.
2011-2012 roster
PG: Ty Lawson(75)/ Kemba Walker (69)
SG: JR Smith (68)/ Jeremy Hazell (59)
SF: Wilson Chandler (80)/ Danilo Gallinari (73) 6th man
PF: Josh Smith (85)/ Derrick Caracter (63)/ Kenneth Faried (62)
C: Nene (75)/ Birdman (63)/ Kousta Koufos (58)

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Well, it's pretty easy. My starting team now has:
Derrick Rose
Tyreke Evans
Danilo Gallinari (he came back)
Stoudemire
Brook Lopez
Also have:
John Wall
Andrea Bargnani
Paul George
Evan Turner
Blake Griffin
Kevin Love
Andre Miller
What you have to remember is that all you have to do is match the contract amount. Being that Wall, Griffin and Turner are Rookies, their contracts aren't $20 million per year like in a Fantasy Association, where you draft. In that Association, the people in the first round (like Tyreke and Rose) will have HUGE contracts. In this real Association, cheap as dirt.
Derrick Rose's contract with the Bulls? 1 year - $5.50 million. I kid you not. Young players = Cheap = Good material. The only old player on that roster is Andre Miller, who's, I think, 35. Everyone else is under 30, with Stoudemire as the oldest (at 27). Rose has jumped from 85 overall to 88 in the second year. Eventually this whole team will be unstoppable.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
took over the magic. got offered some really nice trades by the CPUs so I accepted them.
PG: Jameer Nelson/Chris Duhon
SG: Ronnie Brewer/Jason Richardson
SF: Gerald Wallace/Q. Richardson
PF: Kevin Love/Brandon Bass/Serge Ibaka
C: Dwight Howard/Serge Ibaka
for some reason the timberwolves wanted arenas, and orton, and offered love and a '12 1st. obviously i accepted that deal right away.
howard/love/wallace crash the boards, and everyone on the team plays great D. only giving up about 83.5 ppg right now.Comment
