Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

    I started a franchise with the Indiana Pacers. 29 games/ 10 mins/ all star.
Right off the bat i traded:

    TJ Ford & Paul George & 1st rd pick 2011 & 1st rd pick 2012

    for
    Deron Williams

I play 3 guards.. my lineup is

    Pg: Deron Williams
    Sg: Darren Collison
    Sf: Brand Rush
    Pf: Danny Granger
    C: Roy Hibbert

I'm currently 1-0 i beat the 76ers. The new big 3 of ( rush, williams, and granger) each had 20+ points and some sort of double-double

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Just started an association with a new-look bulls team, the sonics and jazz also replaced the current jazz and thunder teams. Here's my team:

        Rose/John Lucas
        Hinrich/Gordon
        Deng/Korver
        Boozer/Tyrus Thomas
        Noah/Ben Wallace

First game was at Key Arena in Seattle, the last minute and a half was Rose and Westbrook going back and forth in iso's. I missed a jumper with rose to win the game, while Westbrook made a crazy contact jumper which should've been a foul also. There was a really nice sequence at about the 2 minute mark, we were on a 8-0 run coming back from 10 down, Noah swats an Eric Maynor floater and Korver kept it in bounds. He handed off to Rose and he gave it off to Noah on the break for a sick and 1 dunk that had him gasping for air after the play. One of the most **** games i've ever played...pumped to play my first game at home vs Detroit

Something. If not, that's by far the worst trade that I've seen.
Trade override is off( i didn't even know that something like that is in game)
          Korver's rating is 72 - i didn't change it

But, i probably won't do it, i got Ariza and Korver on SF and this would be unnecessary don't you guys think ?

Just reached all-star break in my 2nd year BUCKS association...

We have 35-23 record(#8 power rankings), starting newly acquired Diaw with Bogut, and running most of my plays through him, dudes so versatile. Luc, Barea, Sanders, & Qrich come of the bench.

With set plays going through Diaw, Jennings has blossomed as a scorer and is getting dimes more easily with the floor spread.

Defensively were overwhelming opponents, holding opp average 95.2(4th best in league).

                    Going Forward
Valanciunas(drafted last year) is still in D-League, played a couple of games with him, he'd be a good addition in coming seasons.

I have Mav's '1st rounder from a Barea sign and trade, But Dirk, Kidd, and Butler ALL fell to injury this season, so Mavs are only 22-36(5 worst so far), so it could potentially be a high pick in a deep 2012 draft.

                    Around the League
                    (user initiated)
Warriors traded Biedrins for Barbosa(expiring) and Toronto's second.
Bulls traded Taj Gibson for Afflalo
T'Wolves trade Ridnour(Rubios back) to Knicks for Randolph and 2013 1st.
Andre Miller went to the Grizz for Sam Young & Wilcox

Also Jordan Hamilton drafted number 13 by Sac-Town, rated 59, has yet to play an NBA game, Kings left the dude in the D-League ALL season.

E.G, they're in the bottom third for defensive rebounding, I would have the crash the boards setting at very high (even though OR rebounding is broken). Or if they're say in the bottom third for blocks, I would set my attack basket and inside/close shot to very high as they wouldn't have much ability to change shots. Another example would be if they have a poor 3pt percentage, I would sag off and have defensive pressure at very low and force them into putting up bad 3pt shots. I think it really helps and because I play a 29 game season, it makes each game feel even more important. Try it and see how it works..
I tried what you said against my next opponent which was the Celtics and I thought I was going to lose most definately before I even played the game, but I won! I gameplanned, and Celtics had trouble with blocking so I set Attack the Basket and In/Close shot all the way up.

I sag'd off the players that don't do 3's well (including Rondo), and played tight on the players that do. Oh and they also were amazing under the glass so I lowered Crash the Boards setting down to only 1 or 2 clicks.

                      Here are the stats:

                      Washingon 101 - Boston 98

                      Washington Stats
                      J. Wall: 22 PPG / 12 APG / 8-16 FG's
                      R. Lewis: 24 PPG / 8 RPG / 1 Steal / 9-14 FG's / 6-10 3PT
                      R. Hibbert: 20 PPG / 7 RPG / 2 Blocks / 8-11 FG's
                      A. Blatche: 13 PPG / 10 RPG

                      Boston Stats
                      R. Allen: 29 PPG / 4 RPG / 1 Steal / 11-16 FG's / 5-8 3PT
                      K. Garnett: 20 PPG / 7 RPG / 1 Steal / 1 Block / 10-18 FG's
                      R. Rondo: 15 PPG / 7 APG / 3 Steal / 7-18 FG's / 0-4 3PT
                      P. Pierce: 12 PPG / 7 RPG / 5-9 FG's / 2-5 3PT

I use the same sliders that I used when I got my butt whooped by the Timberwolves, Warriors, and the Kings. For some reason my team plays well against tougher opponents as I also beat the Lakers and the Heat.

Was a great game that came down to the wire. Thank you for the advice with gameplanning as I've never done it before.

Hey, you shouldn't put "PPG" or "RPG" and such cuz that means "points per game" and "rebounds per game"

Just a tip so it won't be confusing.

                        Great game though.

Played against the Bucks expecting to be in for a close game.

That about says it all. Gooden was injured and I abused him for the first 4 minutes, then they took him out, then left him in allllll 2nd quater. I spent the 3rd quater jacking up 3's for the fun of it. That quater was 26-26 at least but the rest was an embarrassment for the Bucks. They couldn't do anything on D.

That trade for Smith worked on both ends apprently as the Hawks are currently #1 in the east even over the Heat and old school Bulls.

I lost Game 6 to the Lakers in my Phoenix Association. Which ended my season. I couldn't stop Kobe. He had 43. I plan on doing a write up later but I don't have time now.

I'm not sure what direction that I want to go in next season. Hill is retiring for sure and VC has an 18M team option. I haven't decided if I want to keep him and make another run or let him go and start getting younger. If it's the latter I may look to trade Nash as well.

                              Any suggestions?

Started a new association with the Bulls, first thing I did was trade Boozer away so I traded Boozer and 11' Ist round for Gerald Wallace and Gerald Henderson, fair trade?
