They ask the beginning of each year.

started a timberwolves franchise, rough start...5-10

traded to get DeAndre Jordan and Mo Williams, so hopefully the next couple of games will see some improvement. been really pushing for Wesley Johnson as the face of the team. him and beasley are great duo, experimenting maybe i can get a jordan pippen out of them

Gonna start mine soon but I have some questions, any bugs in the association mode? Im gonna start with the Pacers and I know its gonna be tough. Just really trying to learn Collison's game and use it effectively. On another note though are u guys playing on HOF simulation? and if you are do you like it?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Started a Wizard's franchise the other day and man they are fun, but very difficult, to play with. Right now I'm 1-3 with a blowout loss at Orlando, a two point win over the Hawks, an OT loss to the 76ers, and another two point loss to the Knicks.

My problem seems to be defense. Even though the Wiz are rated like 15th overall in defense, none of my post players can stop anybody. Amar'e went off for 42 points and 16 boards against me. I haven't made any trades yet but I might try to ship Gilbert off for a legit SF.

BTW John Wall is an absolute monster. Against the Knicks he had 40 points, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds.

Any advice on a trade for a good SF?

I haven't started yet. I can't decide between running with the Nuggets or Thunder. Yes, I know they are in the same division but I really like both teams. Denver b/c I live here and am a Carmelo Anthony fan (so if he gets traded, I'll root for whatever team he goes to) and I got the chance to see the Thunder in OKC last year, had a blast (got a free T-shirt too!) and like that team's setup.

I'll have to run some games with both teams and then decide.

Try Gilbert for Iguodala? I don't see the 76ers doing it, but maybe adding a pick or two and a low salary player could do it.. if the salaries match.

Control both! I love how 2K lets us control all 30 teams at once.

And when Anthony does get traded, you could switch teams.

I don't find it buggy... I have CPU trades and injuries turned off for now, and I play every game of mine, so I guess that negates some of the problems people have with Association(like only 2 trades per year after 2 years of simulating).

I did this in my association, I think it was Arenas+Yi for Iguodala+Kapono and 76ers next 2 second round picks.

I'm also running with the Wizards. 5-5 after dropping 2 to the Raptors and Celtics.

If you are struggling defensively in the post you could do what I did. I traded Gil to the Hornets for Okafor and their 1st. I had to add scrubs to make the money work (Armstrong for Green I think) and now my defense is a strength.

Wall is beastly though. Averaging 18 ppg and 8.5 apg for me. Gets to the line at least 10 times a game so in the offseason I need to work on his FT shooting. 72% is not cutting it.

I am now considering options for a decent SF (74-78) since I have picks to spare, but I am going to hold off on anything until the break.

Do you have the shooting foul sliders maxed out? I am having a hard time getting enough foul shots, I am last by a heap in makes and attempts in the team stats page. Need more cpu fouls because i seem to have no trouble sending them to the line.

Big Baby has been hurt the past two and a half games, but I am now 2-9. About to take on the Lakers. I kind of hurt myself by not paying attention and trading both my 1st round picks. So I traded away both my 2nd round picks and Will Bynum for the Grizzlies 1st round pick and Troy Allen.

I wish I hadn't screwed up my picks so much. I have been thinking of trading Hamilton since he's old and Gordon can take his place. But I won't have any solid backup or Gordon. Plus, I like to keep the old Pistons around in Prince and Hamilton.
