Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
So I just started my second season with the Bulls. The only offseason movie made was signing chris Douglas-Roberts. Like the real bulls I am having trouble finding a second big scorer. Anyone have an underrated 2 guard I can make a play for? Needs to be a cheap guy due to cap space.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Brandon Rush, the SG from Kansas has been solid for me...
He has a funky shot, but is solid from outside, and, he is 6'6' I think and plays solid defense.Comment

Courtney Brewer (DAL) - Not a great shooter but I do great with this guy, better at the 3
Raja Bell (UTA) - Old but a shooter/great defender, good role player later
Courtney Lee (HOU) - One of my FAV players to get as my "5th starter"
Tony Allen (MEM) - Slasher/GREAT defender
Aaron Afflalo (DEN) - A lot like Lee IMO
Brandon Rush (IND) - Makes it rain from 3
Anthony Parker (CLE) - Old and not a great defender, but cheap and a good stop-gap in year 1
These guys are all easy to get, make nice 5th starters to round out a lineup.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started a Clippers Association and simmed the first season. I traded my 1st round pick to Cleveland for Alonzo Gee(expiring contract) to go in line with real life.
2011 Offseason:
Resigned C Deandre Jordan. Traded C Chris Kaman, SF Al Farouq Aminu, SF Ryan Gomes & a 1st round pick to the Sixers for SG/SF Andre Iguodala, Rookie SF Kawhi Leonard(1st rd 15th pick) & SG Jodie Meeks. Drafted SG Jon Diebler in the 2nd round. Signed C Tyson Chandler, C Jeff Foster, & PF Josh McRoberts in FA.
2011-2012 Lineup:
PG: Mo Williams / Eric Bledsoe / Willie Warren
SG: Eric Gordon / Randy Foye / Jodie Meeks / Jon Diebler
SF: Andre Iguodala / Kawhi Leonard
PF: Blake Griffin / Josh McRoberts
C: Tyson Chandler / DeAndre Jordan / Jeff Foster
The second half belonged to Griffin. Griffin was a monster in the post as Portland starting doubling and that opened up our 3 point shooting for Mo and Iguodala. Clippers clinched the game with a 15-4 run in the last 4 minutes of the game and went on to win by 9.
Griffin finished with 37 pts, 6 rebs, 5 asts
Iguodala had 14pts & 8 rebs
Williams added 13 pts & 9 asts scoring mostly off of open jumpers created by Blake being double in the post.
Eric Gordon struggled going 2-14 from the field but did finish with 13 pts after going 8-8 from the stripe.
Aldridge and Roy combined for 47 pts but it wasnt enough as Oden, Miller and Matthews were shut down for the most part.
Overall Im very happy with this roster but am concerned that I dont have enough scoring off the bench. Rookie SF Kawhi Leonard is primarily a defensive player and will take a couple seasons to develop his shot if I plan on keeping him. Bledsoe and Foye cant create their own shot but are good 3 pt shooters. Our interior defense is stifling though with Chandler, Jordan, Griffin and even Josh McRoberts whose size and athleticism was a welcomed surprise off the bench as he scored 8 pts in the win vs Portland.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I was thinking of starting a new "rebuild" association with the cavs. The fact that they have 2 picks in top 4 can make it real fun. Thinking of drafting D Williams and then Kemba. Progressing them along with JJ would make a great team.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In the file I have, he is just an average SF, like 75ovr, coming out of the draft... He doesn't do anything "great" but he does a few things "well"
I'm a big Kyrie Irving fan, I think the way the league is today, you NEED that Stud PG to be successful... And, I don't think anyone has come out and rated Kemba as a better PG Prospect than Kryie...Comment

My pick would be Marcus Thornton since he's my starting point guard in my Hornets association. He's a kind of streaky shooter, but shot around 49% for me, base all-star settings. Also he's a scorer as he has a mid-range game and can drive finding some success. He's like a more consistent yet less explosive J.R. Smith.
I also like Raja Bell. The two associations I've started with 2k11, one with the jazz(quit on it) and my current association with the Hornets I've had two all league point guards. I'd like to say the better duo was Paul and Thornton than Williams and Bell. I made the NBA finals with the Hornets, eventually losing to the Heat in game 7. Thornton was streaky throughout that series, and I was wishing that I had a more consistent shooter at the 2 like Raja is. If Raja is open, he's most likely knocking it down, but then again he can't score off the dribble. But both of those are solid choices and great fits for a team like the Bulls which is on the brink of being a league superpower in the game, IRL they already are.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
If this was NBA 2k9, my answer would be J.R. Smith since I paired him and rose together in that game and they made an almost unstoppable tandem in the backcourt. But back to the more realistic 2k11 where the devs included ratings such as consistency and J.R. Smith is not as desirable as he was lol.

I think you'll be dissapointed if you don't draft Kryie #1. Unless you have a draft class file that makes Williams a beast.

I drafted Derrick(75) over Kyrie(77) and traded the 4th pick and I plan on making him a better ball-handler and once that happens I don't see why he can't be like a Lebron 2.0 just not a good passer
or you could get Derrick first then draft Brandon Knight that way you get stud at SF and PGComment
