My Timberwolves team in year 1:

    PG: Ricky Rubio
    SG: James Harden
    SF: Rudy Gay
    PF: Kevin Love
    C: DeAndre Jordan

    G/F Martell Webster
    F Anthony Randolph
    G Sebastian Telfair
    G/F Wes Johnson
    C Darko Milicic

And then I filled out my young team with veteran role players. Gay-Love championships coming to Minnesota!

Just slammed the Bulls with my Kings 71-52. Fantastic game now that I have Jameer Nelson and James Harden on my side. Good trades, new coach, lead to my FIRST good win.

      Kings are now (2-4)

Click on my signature to read more about it. I'm doing mock post-game interviews with the coach, player of the game, and a key player for the Kings. I also do an "ESPN" type review of each game. Fun to write.

Played a game earlier vs the Rockets they have Monta Ellis at PG now. It was a close game, until the 4th where i gained a 14 point lead and got the W. STAT didn't miss a shot till like 2 minutes left in the 4th. He had 28, I wanted to be greedy and get him 30 points on no missed FG's greed cause me that opportunity. Forced offense isn't the way to go lol.

Next up is the Mavs and the Spurs I'm on the road. I like this West Coast road trip I'm on so far haha.

Doing an association controlling 4 teams (Celtics, Lakers, Mavs, and Bucks)

            I'm in the 3rd season I believe.

Season 1, all 4 of my teams won their divisions but LA and Boston lost in the conference finals, while the Mavs and Bucks were eliminated in the 1st round.

Season 2, LA was matched up against the Mavs in the first round, with LA winning. However, they lost in the 2nd round to the Spurs. Boston lost in the 2nd round. Miami won their 2nd straight championship. Milwaukee had a horrific season, finishing with the 3rd worst record, and to make matters worse, I had traded away their 1st round pick.

Season 3, I ended up working out a deal with Utah. I traded them Brandon Jennings, a future 1st round pick, and another player for the 1st overall pick and Devin Harris (they threw him in to make the money work since they were getting Jennings anyway). I drafted a PG that went on to win rookie of the year (averaging about 19, 6, and 6). I had a lot of cap space so I was able to sign Eric Gordon to a big deal. And then I worked out a trade with Portland to send them Devin Harris and one of my other rookies for Gerald Wallace. Led by my new head coach, Milwaukee finished the year 51-31, with the 2nd best record in the East and are now in the conference finals facing the rebuilt Nets (Deron, Zach Randolph, Brook Lopez, and Stephen Jackson who made the All-NBA 2nd team out of nowhere, scoring like 26 per game). Boston Celtics made a trade at the deadline, trading Ray Allen, Aaron Afflalo, Goran Dragic, and one of their 3 first round picks for Andre Iguodala. They lost in the first round to the Bucks though. Mavs made a trade, dealing Beausbois and Marvin Williams for Rodney Stuckey. Moved Stuckey to the SG to play alongside Steve Nash. Mavs ended up as the 7 seed after finishing the year on an 8 game losing streak. However, they swept the Lakers in the first round, then beat Portland in 5 games and are now in the conference finals against the defending Western Conference Champs, OKC.

Just started an association with the T-wolves. Simmer the 2011 season and went into off-season mode. Had 3 lottery picks and kemba walker is beasting.

My starting line up is pretty much the same as IRL except I got camby at center.

I got McGrady and Kemba Walker coming off the bench for me and it's working out well so far but I really wanna upgrade my starting SG. I'm currently under the salary cap but I don't want to spend too much money because I'll need to resign Love and Beasley next season.

Currently 18-15 with Knicks (2nd season). I just lost a close one to the 1st place bulls. I'm killing with STAT n MELO both averaging over 26ppg and 7rpg....I took player of the week 3 straight with melo and also player on the month. STAT looking like he going to be the starting PF for the east while melo going to be lebrons back up. I'm starting to get crazy with billups. his 3pt shot has been automatic lately...cant wait for the playoffs to get my rematch vs the celtics who took me out 4-1 with no melo!.....MELO FOR MVP!!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

To vent my frustrations as a Laker fan, I started a new franchise on Superstar w/sliders and The Purist's coaching profiles and simmed through the 1st season. Surprisingly enough the Lakers got bounced in the 3rd round by none other than the Mavs: 4-1. The Mavs then went on to beat the Heat in 7 to win the title with Dirk winning MVP.

So this is what I did, trying to be as realistic as possible:

                    - Derek Fisher (thank God) and Theo Ratliff retired.
                    - Let Brown, Caracter, Smith and Johnson all walk.
                    - Barnes picked up his option and I picked up Ebanks team option
                    - I traded Artest+the 24th pick+my 2012 1st round pick to Philly for Lou Williams+Jodie Meeks during the draft.
                    - With my final remaining pick, I selected PF Mason Plumlee from Duke in the 2nd round
                    - Upon entering FA period, I signed Mickael Pietrus and Joel Przybilla for the MLE (My first choices were Tayshaun Prince and Michael Redd but Prince decided to go to ATL and Redd wanted $8.00M for 2 years, no thanks. Plus I couldn't afford it due to the hard cap.).
                    - Signed Reggie Evans with the Vet's Minimum and now have 50K left on the hard cap.
                    - Right before the regular season started I shopped Gasol with the trade finder and received this offer from the Hawks: Josh Smith+Kirk Hinrich for Gasol+Blake+Plumlee. Needless to say, I sent Pau's butt to the ATL.
                    - I then signed Etan Thomas with the Vet min., just to help fill the roster out.

So right before the season starts my lineup looks like this:

                    L. Williams/Hinrich
                    Bryant/Meeks
                    Barnes/Pietrus/Ebanks/Walton
                    J. Smith/Odom/Evans
                    Bynum/Przybilla/E. Thomas

First game was against the Blazers at the Rose Garden. Smith made an immediate impact with a 16/7 1st quarter. We ended up going on a 38-16 run in the 2nd quarter after a 24-18 first quarter. Smith ended the game with 27/11 in only 30 minutes and the Lakers beat the Blazers 117-87 to go 1-0.
                    NBA: Lakers
                    NFL: Raiders

                      2011 NBA Playoffs (L.A. Clippers)

I finally hit the playoffs in an association I'm happy with. (Good work, chia!) It's been a pretty crazy season, but I'll save all that for another time. (It's a lot to write up.) In the meantime, here are two first-round match-ups that are just... well, read on:

#1 Lakers vs. #8 Clippers (me)

Home court or no (in this case, no), my Clippers won't be doing much traveling in this series. We were "lucky" enough to make it to the playoffs following a three-way tie for the eight seed (the others were the Suns and the Thunder, who I managed to beat in their respective season series), and got matched up with our-- well, I can't really say crosstown foes, huh? Well, anyway, I'm currently down 0-3, despite Griffin's 30ppg thus far. Between Gordon being injured and my team's general lack of experience, we've had a pair of fourth-quarter collapses. Not that we were ever ahead, but we had chances to come back and then promptly fell on our faces to lose by double-digits. I've been slapped around by some combination of Fish, Kobe, Artest, and Gasol all series. (They've each had at least one 20+ point game.)

                      #2 Heat vs #7 Cavaliers

Wow. Just wow. I was shocked when I saw the playoff bracket. Not only did the Cavs not collapse following LeBron's departure, but they managed to make the playoffs. And not only did they make the playoffs, but they're facing off against him. It blows my mind. But due to J.J. Hickson's MIP-deserving play this year, the hole left at the 3-spot was somewhat offset enough for them to grab a playoff berth. Furthermore, Mo Williams and Ramon Sessions both had strong seasons. But, as you might expect, that doesn't mean jack in this series match-up. The Cavs are down 0-3, same as my Clippers.

i'm the lakers and after losing the finals with the Heat
i end the first season with some trades i like
( Brown + artest ) - Michael Beasley and YJ and some more by the Finder
and after this season i trade some of my first picks to get Lopez (nets)
and i make the biggest trade by ( Bynum and YJ ) and the first picks of Cavs to get Cp3 and it's work
after all no force trade i did at all on these 2 season and i'm starting now my best days by findin the way with 22-3 .

                        my starting lineup ( Cp3 - K23 - Beasley8-Pau16-BL10)

so what do you think :P

I'm rounding out my first month with the Kings. I'm doing updates for every game, however I will be doing one big month re-cap.

I have 4 more games before that however.

                            Cavs update...

I'm nearing the All Star break and the Trade Dealine... I am a few games over .500 at 25-18 and I'm thinking I might need another "scorer" to be a legit title contender...

Here is my roster in case you forgot...

PG - Kyrie Irving / Jared Bayliss / Jeff Teague
SG - Reggie Bullock / Brandon Rush
SF - Harrison Barnes / Jon Diebler
PF - JJ Hickson / Antwan Jamison / Brandon Wright
                            C - Andy Veregou / Hasheem Thabeet

I'm thinking I need a legit SG as Reggie Bullock is only a rookie. He can shoot, but, he doesn't play very good defense, and he isn't all that consistent from game to game...

I was thinking of packaging him, and my upcoming 1st round pick and maybe Andy Veregou for a legit SG like Brandon Roy, OJ Mayo or someone like that...

What sort of "fair" trade do you think I could look for??? Remember, I have 30 team control on, so, I "could" get any player I want, but I want it to be fair...

Trade one of your PG thats to much talent at the PG to just let them rot on the bench. Teague could be a big spark off the bench, so can Bayless. Trade one if you can. I'm suggesting trading Teague to a team where he can compete for the PG spot because he's good enough to be a starter.

Don't trade for a dominant SG just yet, that's not realistic for the Cavs to be a tittle contender a year or 2 in their rebuilding stage. Rock out this season with the roster you have, then in the offseason make a move. Cause it's just not realistic for the Cavs to be contending this early.

But I finally solved my problems. Shaq obviously still thinks he's in his prime and deserves lots of minutes, it bad enough I let him start over Mozgov. Bill Walker was complaining about minutes off the bench he was playing a good 23 minutes and wasn't satisfied and Mickael Pietrus just didn't do anything for me. He's a good shooter but I can't get his release right at all and sometimes he was suspect on defense.

So Iverson was unhappy in Denver, and I checked the rumor mill they said Iverson for Walker is a possible deal.
                              Nuggets Trade:
                              Allen Iverson
                              Gary Forbes
                              Larry Sanders
                              2nd rd pick

                              Knicks trade:
                              Bill Walker
                              Mickael Pietrus
                              Shaq
                              2nd rd pick

                              So my lineup is now
                              CP3
                              Gary Forbes
                              Melo
                              STAT
                              Mozgov

AI as 6th men coming off the bench.

                              Nuggets lineup
                              Ty Lawson
                              Aaron Afflalo
                              Wilson Chandler
                              Enes Kanter

Bill Walk and Pietrus comming off their bench. Who got the better trade?

I'm suggesting trading Teague to a team where he can compete for the PG spot because he's good enough to be a starter.

Don't trade for a dominant SG just yet, that's not realistic for the Cavs to be a tittle contender a year or 2 in their rebuilding stage. Rock out this season with the roster you have, then in the offseason make a move. Cause it's just not realistic for the Cavs to be contending this early.
Thanks for the thoughts... However, I do think the Cavs could in fact compete at this point. This is my 2nd full season with Irving and Barnes... I think of my team as kind of a OKC type of team, in that, I should be able to compete, but probably wont be good enough to go ALL THE WAY...
