Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm currently number 1 in my division with my Thunders association.

    Line-up is

    PG: Westbrook, Dragic, Maynor
SG: Sefolosha, Harden. (beast off the bench)
SF: Durant, Mbah a Moute, Peja
    PF: Ibaka, Collison
    C: Perkins, Nazr

    Aldrich in the D-league.

I haven't done too much changing other than a few role players that work better for me. I'm going to look to move Nazr close to the trade deadline because he's already talking about free agency. I've been absolutely beast on Offense and Defense. Have it on All-Star right now with purist sliders. If the season continues to move like this I might bump up a difficulty.

Durant is averaging 32 points a game and Westbrook is averaging 20 and 10 assist.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

In my 2nd year with the Miami Heat.

I play a 29 game season, playing all the games, with 12 min qtrs on Sim/All-Star.

In my first year I went 17-12 and was a fifth seed in the East.

      Heat v Bucks (4-1, Heat)
      Heat v Bulls (4-1, Heat)
      Heat v Hawks (4-2, Heat)
      Heat v Mavs (4-0, Heat)

I won the NBA Championship after a rough season. I only made 1 trade and it was Eddie House and Miami's 2011 2nd round pick for Washington's 2012 1st round pick.

      MVP - Derrick Rose
      ROY - John Wall

In the 2011 NBA Draft I selected...

      Jacob Pullen: SG/PG, K-State - 66 ovr
      Markieff Morris PF/C, Kansas - 70 ovr

      Some other notable draftees...

Derrick Williams - #1 overall pick to the Suns (via trade)
Jimmer Fredette - Lakers, now starting PG.
Kemba Walker - Wizards, they moved Wall to the 2.
Enes Kanter - Clippers, the Clips traded Kaman to the C's when KG went down for the year with a torn ACL.

Now, in my 2011-2012 season here is my lineup...

      <html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /><link href="http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"></head><body><table cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" class="osdyn" width="575"><tr class="masthead_alt"><td bgcolor="#000000" colspan="5"><span style="color:#DC0000">Miami Heat Depth Chart - 2012</span></td></tr><tr class="stathead"><td width="8%"></td><td width="23%">STARTER</td><td width="23%">2ND</td><td width="23%">3RD</td><td width="23%">4TH</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>PG</td><td><b>Mario Chalmers</b></td><td>Jacob Pullen</td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>SG</td><td><b>Dwayne Wade</b></td><td>Mike Miller</td><td>Jake Robinson</td><td></td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>SF</td><td><b>LeBron James</b></td><td>James Jones</td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>PF</td><td><b>Chris Bosh</b></td><td>Udonis Haslem</td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>C</td><td><b>Markieff Morris</b></td><td>Zydrunas Ilgauskas</td><td>Joel Anthony</td><td></td></tr></table></body></html>

Each to there own I guess mate. Wolves fan hey? I'm an Everton fan, hoping we can snag Jarvis off you.

Anyway...Iverson and Howard tire really quickly, so Wall and Gasol get alot of time. Also Wall and Griffin are rookies after all as this is my first season. It may look like a super team who is very good at the game but when the AI can beat on you Pro it can't be that good.

Thats not a problem with the team, honestly. Wall and Griffin alone, on pro, are more than enough to carry a team to easy victories. That's without mentioning Megatron.

It's not a matter of to each their own. I don't really care that you have those players on your team, but you said that it looks like a "super team" though your team "isn't that good". I could care less if you had CP3, Kobe, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Wilt Chamberlain on your team. Doesn't matter to me. Your team is good enough to win games. For you to say that it "cant be that good" if the AI can beat you on pro, it's simply NOT a matter of your team not being good enough.

It's really not that big of a deal that he has a super team in his association. Some people play as close to realism as possible, only making trades that teams would really make. Others play to get their favorite players and try to dominate the league.

I personally favor trying to create a team that can grow within a few years, and not necessarily just be great off the bat with a few trades.

I agree fully, I don't really care he has a super team. It's his association to play it as he wants, I'm not critiquing that by any means. But to say that the team "isnt that good" is kind of silly if you look at the talent up and down he listed.

Fair enuff mate, but I dare say some one could put together a team that could beat mine. It's s game of chance really.

Agree mate, at the end of the day, you pay money for it so your entitled to do what you want. At the same time your not limited to one association anyway, so in reality you could have an association with a super team abd another with a underdog team.

Mate, what I meant was I'm the new to the game right, if their talent was that good I would win every game uncontested...I don't. Yes they are good young talents but I dare say far from the best. That's all I meant.

Also the team you listed is super team compared to mine.

I hear ya. Believe me then, once you get better at the game, you should dominate. Especially with John Wall, he's the centerpiece of my association (Wizards), and I can devastate teams with his level of athleticism.

What problems do you run into offensively?

Oh I totally understand. Give me like two of his players and sign me a bunch of no name, 40-50 overalls from free agency and I'll win every game I play :P

Just kidding. I mean, I'm still losing games with Jameer Nelson, Tyreke Evans, and DeMarcus Cousins.

I've gotten a little better, well I think I have a better understanding now anyway. First thing i discovered was the drive cam and that has helped me heaps. I hate playing games on easy, so i did what I normally do and started on pro. But I struggled to score points and couldn't get a win.

So I recently put it down to rookie and now I've gotten better, well I'll found out when I put it back up. I think my biggest issue...was using Isomotion to drive the ball inside...and that I couldn't seem to open the defense up so then I'd rush a shot and miss and from their keep missing.

Wall seems awesome, I wasn't starting him at first, but has started to impress me recently. My next game (back to Pro) will be interesting...hopefully I've improved and have a better understanding. If I dominate all season then yes I would get bored for sure.

**** thing is, don't watch alot of NBA so not sure of the talent and what trades are realistic etc.

                              Sacramento Kings (8-8) @ Milwaukee Bucks (7-5)
                              - 68
                              - 63

Omri Casspi got the starting spot at SG. Fantastic game from him, PERFECT 4-4 from deep, as my focus as begun shifting to a three point team.

                                New season with the Rockets...

2nd year, coming off a title. I traded Scola, Budinger, Jordan Hill and my 1st round pick to GSW for Udoh and D. Wright...

Udoh is an awesome backup center/pf for me off the bench. Wright is in a huge slump, shooting 0-15 from 3 in the last 4 games or so. Traded L. Stephenson for Boobie Gibson...dude is a 63 overall, but a good 3 pt shooter.

Signed M. Pietrus and J. Pryzbilla to 1 year deals.

                                Depth Chart

                                PG - Lowry/T. Williams/Gibson
