I hate the error with the salaries in the Raptors coaching staff. One of their scouts apparently makes $8 million for 3 years, which means you can't fire Jay Triano and hire a replacement.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm a little upset with myself for neglecting Assoc for so long (my player took all of my time). Decided to start an assoc with the Twolves, simulated the whole 1st season, then corrected the draft order for this yr (took forever). Drafted D Williams #2 overall, then while I was getting ready for my next pick the Pistons proposed a trade: #8 overall and will bynum for jonny flynn, I had to jump on that. With that pick I drafted Kemba Walker. I signed DeAndre Jordan as a free agent, and traded for Kirk Hinrich as insurance in case kemba doesnt produce right away.
Starting 5:
Kemba Walker
Wesley Johnson (BEAST)
Michael Beasley
Derrick Williams
Kevin Love
Hinrich, Jordan, Randolph and Randy Foye are my main reserves.
Playing 12 min Superstar custom sliders, fell in love with this game all over again. Only thing is that our chemistry is at 0, will that pick up once I start winning?
I also fired Rambis, hired a coach with A pot and B teach, it ended up being Patrick Ewing.lolDid this dude just did this?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Hey guys, I just won the championship with the chicago bulls and I've been scouting some prospects for the upcoming draft. I'm gonna try and move up by trading my current 1st and 2nd round picks. I picked up JR smith during the regular season so my need at sg isn't as big as it would've been. Should I draft a sf to put behind deng? Or should I go after a shooting guard still?
Prospects that I'm interested in:
SG: Alec Burks, Tyler Honeycutt, Bogdanovic
SF: Harrison Barnes (doubt he'll be on the board still), Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton
(Btw, I started the association before the draft class was updated and barnes decided to stay at UNC)
EDIT: I forgot that it might be useful for you guys to check out my roster:
PG: Rose, Watson, Pargo, J. Lucas
SG: Bogans, JR Smith, Korver
SF: Deng, R.Butler
PF: Boozer, Scalabrine
C: Noah, Asik, K.Thomas, K.Koufos
*I traded Ronnie Brewer and Taj Gibson for JR Smith and a few nobody's like Koufos and J.Lucas. Taj Gibson was upset that he wasn't starting and eventually demanded a trade. I would've liked to keep him but oh well.GO HAWKEYES!!!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Congrats, I think you should show everyone your entire roster before we give you advice, we don't know how any of your bench is, or if you should develop that. I have the T'Wolves, draft isn't even close, we're 3-0 but I still want to know any suggestions I could do to my team, link is in my sig, I made myself on the team with the attribute from My Player mode, so he's an 88. I'll keep updating the T'Wolves as I'm having a lot of fun with them to be honest. Any suggestions for who I should look for in the draft, I want to look for a great C since I can have an early pick with the 0-4 Kings first round pick, my own pick, and the Magic pick, I'm bound to get a good pick somewhere.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Honestly I would go for SF and PF, try to make trades during the draft for more picks, you have Smith and Korver with Bogans at SG, not much need for more depth yet, SF is Deng and Brewer are pretty young and not the best but they can still work pretty damn good together. Boozer is 29 and Scalabrine is 33, both are old and finding a good young PF to learn from them is a smart choice. I'd say PF is your main focus then SF, if you want me to keep going then SG, C, and PG. Focus on guys who can play bench and impact the team then become greatness unless you are looking for guys that can be like LeBron straight out of the gate, but those usually top 3, top 5 if you're lucky.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Yeah, I was thinking of possibly grabbing Markieff Morris to back up boozer. I'll have to see what pick I can manage by trading my 1st and 2nd round picks along with maybe a scrub or twoGO HAWKEYES!!!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
hey guys my first time posting on this thread. i normally play mostly my player, but after 4 full seasons no simming games, i began to get bored of it so i decided to start up a knicks association(im a thunder fan so i was gonna do them but i'm always them online so i wanted a change) i created Allen Iverson and put him as a free agent because he has always been one of my favorite players, and imo is talented enough to still be playing in the NBA if he would come back from europe and someone would sign him. of course i didnt make him in his prime, i made him like he was his last few years in the league, and tried to get his ratings as realistic as i could. he is 79 overall.
The first trade i made were Fields, Billups, and i believe a second round pick 2011 for Evan Turner and some back up 50-something ovr guy i dont remember his name. i wanted to ship billups, he is getting old and expensive so i traded him while he had some value. i wanted turner because i wanted to develope him into a good all around player
i then traded Turiaf, a few bench warmers, no big names all played 0 minutes, and a second round pick to Dallas for Corey Brewer and Brendon Hayward. i like Brewer, he is a lot better than i expected and Hayward is way better than turiaf was.
i finished 42-40 making the 6th seed but lost in round 1 game 7 vs the Celtics(i only played about 1/4 of the regular season games)
after the season the bobcats won first overall in the lottery. i traded Turner and 2 bench guys for the pick and got Kyrie Irving. i decided i would rather develop Kyrie and move Tony Douglas to second string rather than develope Turner when i already have Iverson as my main SG and Brewer as a back up.
now my roster is:
PG-Kyrie Irving/Tony Douglas/Anthony Carter
SG-Allen Iverson/Corey Brewer
SF-Carmelo Anthony/Derrick Brown
PF-Amare Stoudemire/Jared Jeffries
C-Brendon Hayward/
there may be a few other guys, but i cant remember the names. I still need to sign another center in free agency and also get another SG/SF to help backup, preferably a 3 point specialist or something. let me know what you guys think of my lineup. it may not be the most realistic, especially with Iverson, but hey its fun for me and its not completly out there for a guy like him to come back.Last edited by Champion8877; 06-06-2011, 07:17 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My Advise to ALL Timberwolves users... START ANTHONY RANDOLPH at center and work on his development... I average 3 blocks a game with this kid. You can always put some extra weight on him between seasons at training camp if ya worried he's too small... but I play on superstar sliders and he does real wellAJ Stuart M25 Career Dynasty- http://www.operationsports.com/wolvesjr34/dynasty/Comment
