Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

My Timberwolves team is currently leading the west at 27 or 28 and 9 and have two games against conference rival Sours.... Spurs are hot on my tail in the playoff race so will be good to hopefully come out of this winning the season series 3 - 1 as it stands its 1 - 1 in the season series. Spurs are up 50 to 46 at half time... hope to battle back.

I just started a Twolves association and i am about to trade beasely. Any suggestions of who i should go after.
And aksumite, I know you really want one, but you don't need to be posting on every single dang thread how bad the online association is and that you would like a new one.
Not a Minnesota Fan, but I am still waiting for Minny to bring home a Title... NOT INCLUDING THE LYNX

If you have default rosters, try and get a good SG... and move Johnson to start at SF he is a BEAST in this game.

I just lost by two to the Spurs... but the game completely glitched out on me and REFUSED to do my direct pass like three times until it was too late very frustrating... now I have to back up and play those buggers again... really don't like the Spurs.

Well what would you be looking to get (position-wise) in return? If it were me I'd be looking to target either a good young center or a SF/SG who can play solid defense and pair up with Wesley Johnson.

With that said then, I'd probably go after Greg Monroe or Terrence Williams.

Just started a 29 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. So far I've somewhat blown up the team, my starting 5 is:
            Pg. Chauncy Billups
            Sg. Kobe Bryant
            Sf. Ron Artest
            Pf. Lamar Odom
            C. Amare Stoudemire

            Bench:
            Pg. J.J. Barea
            Sg. Shannon Brown
            Sf. Matt Barnes
            Pf. Ryan Anderson
            C. Chris Anderson

So far I've beat the Utah Jazz by 10 and next up are the Atlanta Hawks.
Let me know what you think about my association team.

As much as I love Webster he is letting me down and his whinging is annoying... I was offered McDyess and a 1st round draft pick from the Spurs for Webster and Telfair, what ya'll think? I think with Love still day to day and Beasley out for 6 weeks... it would be good to have some veteran leadership on my team.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Decided to retire my Minnesota association after four seasons. Started up a new one with Washington tonight.

Simmed the first season. Spurs vs Heat in the Finals. Miami wins the first. Game 2, Duncan breaks his ankle but the Spurs tie it up 1-1. Then they go back to San Antonio and sweep the series without Timmy.

                Finals MVP is....Tim Duncan.

I had the worst record in the league, but ended up 4th after the lottery. Top 5 picks went:

                Minnesota - Kyrie Irving
                Toronto - Derrick Williams
New York - Brandon Knight (finished I think 10th in the East)
                Washington (me) - Enes Kanter
                Cleveland - Kemba Walker

Since I'm controlling all 30 teams, I decided to get CP3 out of NO since they finished outside of the playoffs. Sent Paul/Okafor to LA for Bynum/Odom/Walton/1st (Lakers lost 1st round to PDX).

and now I'm in Year 2. Just finished knocking off Miami...Wall threw down a poster on Wade with .3 seconds left to give me a 99-97 win.

                Wall/Shakur/Alston
                Young/Vujacic
                Gallinari/Lewis
                Blatche/Jianlian/Booker
                Kanter/Hollins/Seraphin

Acquired Gallo in a trade that sent McGee to Denver. (They had lost Nene in Free Agency.) He wasn't averaging too many minutes behind Chandler.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I scrapped my other Bulls franchise in favor of restarting and using the draft classes I downloaded. So, I am in 2015-16.

The past years, my team has made it to the NBA Finals (my playoffs altogether are best of 3), but we either can't win a game, or we lose game 3. I guess that is just life.

Some notable guys I've drafted in my time on this franchise are:
Marcus and Markieff Morris, JaJuan Johnson (I'm a Purdue fan, I had to), Kieth Appling, and Jon Leuer to name a few I've drafted (though I can't exactly remember if any are still on my team or on the D-League team).

We are leading Sacramento 36-26 right now. I feel like they may make a come back later in the game. One notable draftee I see on their team is Brandon Knight from Kentucky. Anyway, I'll get back more information after the game.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."

Rider leads a rout of the Spurs as the Wolves hit back following their loss earlier in the week.

January 11th, 2011. The Timberwolves returned to the Target Center knowing that they had a lot to prove to the wily veterans of San Antonio who had outplayed them two days before to take a lead in the season series 2 - 1. Wolves coach Kurt Rambis implored his team to make use of their biggest advantages in the regular season match up between the two teams, their youth and athleticism. Rambis ordered his young charges to attack the paint relentlessly.

Isaiah Rider especially relished this order as he continued to return to good form, scoring 25 points on the night to go with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Rider shot 11 - 15 from the field and completed three and-1 opportunities as he once again made light of Manu Ginobli's aging legs.

Anthony Randolph, the other of the Young Wolves who took to the Spurs with extra vigour, making many a cut inside to receive smart passes from his team mates around him on his way to a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds (plus 3 blocks). Randolph drew several shooting fouls and nailed all seven free throw opportunities. It's becoming clear that Anthony Randolph is relishing his new home in Minnesota and the home town fans have certainly embraced his presence.

Martell Webster played a more subdued game, scoring 12 points from 5 of 9 shooting, possibly earning him a reprieve from being traded, but Webster is aware that if he wants to stay in Minnesota his production needs to be effective rather than prolific and that he should look for the best option when he gets a touch. This in mind Webster did hand out 4 assists in what was a night of sharing the ball for Minnesota.

                    <a href="http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f130/wolvesjr34/2K11%20Wolves%20Association/?action=view&amp;current=20110605205931.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f130/wolvesjr34/2K11%20Wolves%20Association/20110605205931.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Webster on notice to make smarter decisions with the ball

Eric Bledsoe had another solid night off the bench, scoring nine points and dishing 10 assists to lead all passers for the Wolves (Flynn finished with 9). As such it isn't any wonder that Bledsoe is the leading sixth man of the year candidate around the league, he's also surprisingly garnered some attention behind John Wall and Blake Griffin for rookie of the year honours, although it does seem a bit of a stretch for the young point guard.

For the Spurs Ginobli improved his shooting upon the previous game on his way to 20 points on the night. Ginobli shot 50% from deep and hit all four free throws he took. Richard Jefferson scored 14 to be the next best scorer for San Antonio, who just could not keep up with the young Wolves who were savage and hungry to make amends from their last performance. Tony Parker scored 8 points and dished nine assists, but in the end it was truly fruitless effort as the Timberwolves ran out comfortable winners 108 to 84.

The Timberwolves expect that Kevin Love will be back in the line up for the Thursday night match up with Washington at the Target Center.

                    Season Record: 29-10.

In my Nuggets Association I've reached the playoffs. Team finished with a 19-10 record 1st in the West. Ty Lawson finished second in MVP race averaging 20ppg and 11apg and was named to the All-NBA first team. Nene won Defensive Player of the Year Award averaging 16ppg, 12rpg and 3.6 bpg and was also named to NBA first team.

Went on and started the Playoffs the 1st seed Nuggets will face the 8th seed Spurs. Game 1 at Pepsi Center it was a close game Ty Lawson made clutch shots to close it out. Denver wins 102-99 Lawson finished with 26 pts 10 assists and Nene had 17 pts 14 rebs 3 blks.

Game 2 Denver was hot from outside with JR Smith providing 22 pts off the bench. The frontcourt of Nene and Birdman played excellent D inside the paint and the game ended in a blowout 108-75 going Denver's way. Lawson had 17 pts and 12 assists, Nene 20 pts and 18 rebs and Chris Andersen with a huge 8 blocks.

Series heading to San Antonio the Nuggets lead 2-0.

                                Finals MVP is....Tim Duncan.

I had the worst record in the league, but ended up 4th after the lottery. Top 5 picks went:

                                Minnesota - Kyrie Irving
                                Toronto - Derrick Williams
New York - Brandon Knight (finished I think 10th in the East)
                                Washington (me) - Enes Kanter
                                Cleveland - Kemba Walker

Since I'm controlling all 30 teams, I decided to get CP3 out of NO since they finished outside of the playoffs. Sent Paul/Okafor to LA for Bynum/Odom/Walton/1st (Lakers lost 1st round to PDX).

and now I'm in Year 2. Just finished knocking off Miami...Wall threw down a poster on Wade with .3 seconds left to give me a 99-97 win.

                                Wall/Shakur/Alston
                                Young/Vujacic
                                Gallinari/Lewis
                                Blatche/Jianlian/Booker
                                Kanter/Hollins/Seraphin

Acquired Gallo in a trade that sent McGee to Denver. (They had lost Nene in Free Agency.) He wasn't averaging too many minutes behind Chandler.
Managing 30 teams is a pain in the ***, the turnoff for me is I have injury frequency at 51 because the league always have a ton of injuries in real life, so I want my game to simulate that. There was injury left and right forcing me to adjust lineups every second and it got quite annoying. I would of had kept it going if it wasnt for that. But is it a pain to you?
