Well my association where I control all 30 is going well so far, and I just finished year 2 with my Bobcats, simming the regular season. Created myself (Potter) as a SG in last season's draft class and took myself at #1 overall. My guy ended up winning ROY, and had a fantastic season, with numbers comparable to Jordan's rookie year (Although a lot of it is because we had literally no other weapons).

In the playoffs, we got the #7 seed and faced off against the #2 seeded Heat. Now, I play every playoff game, and the Heat just plain took it to me the first 3 games, winning by 10-15 every time, and I struggled with Potter. Game 4 though... good god. He was on fire from mid range, and was unstoppable taking it to the whole, and he ended up scoring a new NBA playoff record of 70 points (Fitting that the player I designed to be like Mike ends up breaking his playoff points in a game record), and I needed every single one of them as I beat the Heat 122-121. Fittingly, the game ended with Potter converting a 3 point play after he got fouled on a layup with 1.3 seconds left.

In Game 5, he scored 38 points but I didn't have enough help and we lost 98-85 to the Heat, ending our season. The Thunder ended up beating the Bulls 4-2 for the title, so it stayed in the West after the Mavs won it in year 1. Derrick Rose won his second straight MVP award.

I'm excited for the future... it should be an interesting association to say the least.

someone like javale mcgee,joel anthony,both great defender but anthony is a better individiual defender and mcgee has all the potential in the world to be a great player overall

So i found out something i could do instead of controlling all 30 teams, you can resign from your GM position pick any team, and then trade players from there. no i dont mean cheat and get a start team, Iam talking about guys who have been wanting a trade from there team since last season, Example since mid season last season, Lamar Odom has had his Moral down below i think 10 or 20 lol, and even now to the point where there is no moral lol. So i went to the Lakers, click trade finder clicked on his name and it brought up about 20 teams offering, and most of the time its guys who are also wanting to be traded,

So i hold down R2 or L2 for PS3, and let it cycle through all the teams without looking for about 5 seconds, and then whatever team it lands on, then do that trade, as long as it makes sense, and im not cheating any of the teams.

it can be kinda fun to see what u land on, i usually take the guys who are on the rumor list who want out and go to that team and then do a trade, Odom landed in Utah and is happier now, The Lakers were very busy i kept landing on them, Plus they had Odom, Fisher and Brad Miller all wanting out,

Ill probably do about 5 more trades b4 the deadline which is in about a week( on the game schedule) There was a trade i landed on that wouldnt have made since, it had Udonis Haslem landing in NY but the knicks already have billups, Tmac-vince carter-ben wallace and Amare, ya talk about a squad and i just played them to, and u will see later how i did, Carmelo went to the Nets in the offseason haha,

but ya i didnt think Udonis going to the Knicks would make since for bill walker and tony douglas, Yea the Heat would get younger, but Haslem would just end up benched still... but ya u can always resign from a team and go right back to them so its kinda a neat way to do it. Not sure how ill do free agency yet, this off season is going to be a big one for FA's

Hmm I didnt know you could change teams mid-season. I'm already past the deadline (4 games left in regular season) so I will not worry about it this season. I don't really like making moves for the CPU and they have not made many trades in my association (I play all games). I'll probably use this method the following season. Thanks

I made some updates on my dynasty that u can see on my link in my sig.... ill do more late like game recaps and trades, for now its the main stuff, I decided to sim the rest of the season. i think overall my players do better and alil more real, I mean ya i cant control plays and like when someone gets in foul trouble to keep them out there alil longer, seems every game one of my starters is in foul trouble, maybe i can always try hoopscast, thats still simming but atleast i can control the subs

I Decided to Finish Off My Kings association After my Year 2 NBA Finals. I'm going against the Miami Heat. They Have Been Red hot and Have Picked up Steve Nash! Am I Screwed? How many games do you think it will go to?

I think I Stand a Shot at taking the Series to 6 But losing, The Smith/Bosh Matchup will be one to watch. I think I'm well matched except for at SF. No one can stop Lebron Once he's on a role.

Thunder association because the Thunder have a great young team brewing. 3 games, all wins, wapow. Haha. No trades yet, but I'm thinking of getting rid of James Harden eventually. I know that James Harden will develop into a great player (I've simmed before), but I absolutely HATE his shooting motion, and I love Nate Robinson. A shorty who can dunk and hit transition threes. It's been fun.

I recently starting doing this as well and found out that their is a downside to swithcing teams. If you resign as GM and switch to another team, you will lose all reward points you had built up for training camps so if you had 20 leftover from last season you will lose them when you switch teams. If you think it is worth losing your reward points in order to control trades then go for it but just letting you know there is a catch.

I guess only do it when u have 0 points and then hope to build up some points for your team when u are done doing all that... I just got tired of seeing the same guys wanting to be traded and there moral down to like 0-5 for the past season and half. had to get them to move on. Bentons NBA 2k11 Portland Trail Blazers Association

well i wont put everything on my dynasty section in the link on my sig, some things ill post in here. Well i got 17 games left. iam 29-36 5.5 games out of the 8th spot, anything is possible, I like playing the games to, but right now my team is doing better when i sim so im just going to sim the rest of the season, only 17 more games. i was going to keep track of my teams stats in full played games and in sim games, and my record in each thing, maybe next season.

Anyways other news around the association some trades went down around the deadline and here are a few that stuck out..

L.A Lakers Trade Lamar Odom, 2013 1rst round pick to the Jazz for T.J Ford And Raja Bell.

L.A Lakers trade Derek Fisher, 2012 1rst round pick to Minnesota for Luke Ridnour. Looks like the Lakers are cleaning house and starting over.

Boston Celtics trade Luis Scola and Josh Childress to Charlotte for Stephan Jackson. the Bobcats no longer have Gerald Wallace or Stephan Jackson, Now where does this franchise go from here.

Miami Heat trade Udonis Haslem, 2012 1rst round pick to Cleveland for Manny Harris. Some think Miami gave up to much but Manny Harris is young and full of solid potential and im not sure the Heat will get much from a first round pick since they will most likely pick outside the top 20.

Boston got rid of disgruntled Jermaine Oneal and sent him to the Suns who need help. the Suns sent Jared Dudle and there 2012 first rounder to the Celtics.

Award races so far as of march 9th on the game:
MVP LeBron James- Not sure why, he isnt doing way better then he did last year, I would give it to Rose or even Monta Ellis but right now Rose is 2nd and Ellis is 3rd, Ellis has his Warriors in first in the Pacific division.

Rookie of the year Kenny McCormick- Yep my PG is so far up for R.O.Y lets see if he hold on.

Sixth man of the year Tracy McGrady- Even though he is getting upset lately, like always no matter where he goes. He is playing with Carter, Amare, and Billups and still upset.

Defensive player of the year Dwight Howard- No Surprise here.

Most Improved Greg Monroe- Pistons young up and coming Center went from 3.2 ppg 2.3 rpg and 7.9 Mpg last season, To now getting 8.7 ppg 9.3 Rpg in 28.4 mpg. Infact the top 3 players right now for most improved are Pistons, That could say alot for there future.

Ok and now a quick recap on some key games.

we recently won 5 in a row for the first time all season. and they were wins over the Clippers,Pacers,Memphis,Hornets and Kings, Should be wins in my opinion.

2-12-12 VS Knicks (L)
This was not a pretty game at the Rose Garden, Knicks Guard Vince Carter couldnt miss. He score 37 points and went 7-12 from downtown. Amare had 15 points and 7 rebounds they were the only 2 Knicks to score in double figures. Blazer Center Greg Oden had 11 points 10 rebounds, Roy had 21 points, As the Blazers fell at home 110-94

2-16-12 VS Clippers (W)
Wallace lead the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Roy dished out 14 assist. The Blazers had 6 players score in double figures. Matthews had 22 points in 28 minutes as he continues to score at a quick rate. Big plus of the bench. 122-101

2-25-12 VS Hornets (W)
Rookie Number 1 overall pick Kenny McCormick had a Career high with 15 assist, along with 22 points, Wes Matthews had 22 points off the bench in 25 minutes. Gerald Wallace had 21 and 10. Brandon Roy was held to 13 and Aldridge who only played 24 minutes had just 7 points and 5 rebounds but the Blazers cruise 113-91.

3-9-12 VS Bulls (W)
This was a big win for the Blazers yes it was at home but at the end of the day they need it at this point of the season. Roy lead with 26 points. Oden had 13 and 13. McCormick 12 assist. Wallace 9 points 10 rebounds. Bulls where lead by Derrick Rose who had 28 points 8 assist. And Deng had 23 points and 15 rebounds. Blazers hang on 91-89

I usually find myself regretting simming large chunks of the season if I get bored of playing games, but that's just me .

Just took a bad loss to the Raptors in my Year 3 franchise. Decided to play with the Grizzlies this season (change team every year, control all 30. Use a random number selector to pick team after FA is done so I don't load my team with top FA's!). Kyrie Irving dropped 20pts and 8ast on me for the Raptors, the guy is coming off a stellar rookie year where he bagged the ROTY award last season. Toronto also selected a promising looking SF in the 2012 draft in Marcus Thorpe (who has Kyle Singler backing up). Should be an intriguing team to watch.

Started up my Suns franchise.

Currently, sitting with a 3-2 record. Just came off a huge win over the Grizzlies.

Richardson has been sizzling and has been a huge boost for my offense.

Lopez and Warrick has been doing good as well.

Any tips, on who i could get in exchange for Turkoglu?

Ok season 2 is over and ouch missed the playoffs again I think i did to much mixing around between simming games and playing them, i need to find a solid rhythm, anyways

I knew there was going to be parity this season and there sure was, The 4th seeded Houston Rockets beat the 7th seeded NY Knicks 4-2 in the finals. Kinda funny how Carmelo leaves NY and they end up in the finals, Chauncy Billups and Ben Wallace couldnt pick up there 2nd title. Tmac and Vince Carter could not win there first. McGrady also use to be in Houston. So I guess it was up for grabs this season. Ofcourse LeBron wins MVP even though 2 weeks left in the regular season the guy in first at the time was Derrick Rose who i think should have gotten it the last 2 seasons.

It was not as crazy as a Offseason as i thought, most players resigned with there teams or accepted there player options, like Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, etc, but they will be free agents at the end of this season.

This is a good reason why sometimes its best to control all 30 teams and also be fair or atleast do the resign as GM from a team and go to another and tinker with them and then go somewhere else tinker there and then go back to where u wanna be. But ok this is kinda lame, the Suns signed Anthony Randolph in F/A and he is going to be a rock, got good potential and ready to bring the Suns back to life, the Suns ended with the leagues worst record. But the Suns also signed another PF/C type player in Chris Kaman. They already have Robin Lopez and there 2nd year man Andrain Erickson who was the 4th overall pick in the draft last season. And they still have Zach Randolph, there top 4 rated players are either PF's or C's And to top it off Steve Nash retired, so there starting PG as of right now is Louie Knight rated 61 overall who was a rookie last season, and only has 12 starts under his belt.

there back court is thing and inexperienced, There starting SG is the #2 overall pick in this past draft that just went on. Ya the Suns didnt get the #1 pick the Wizards did. But ya there starting PG is a 2nd year player and there SG is a rookie #4 overall pick, And poor Chris Kaman, after years of being a starter with the Clippers he is now a Role player of all things, with the Suns cause of the log Jam at the front court, Maybe ill fix that. Kaman or Zach for a PG ?? hmm maybe. Ya this isnt even my team i just wanted to mention it.

My Starters seem pretty well rounded in the overall rating department
82-85-85-85-82, and even the bench isnt bad, Wes Matthews 82, Patrick Patterson 82.

I added in free agency backup PG and former Blazer Armon Johnson. I also Drafted via a trade, I didnt have a first rounder, So i got offered the 28th overall pick and Ryan Gomes from Chicago for JJ Barea, Barea was solid for me last season as a back up but i needed a draft pick and Ryan Gomes is a decent SF/PF. So i drafted a PF, i wanna make sure im staying ok in the big man department. I drafted Kurt Posey 6-10 235 outta Washington State.

overall team rating iam 92. only 2 other teams are ahead of me. Atlanta(94) Miami(95) wow u would think i would have a good team, this is another reason why i just sim, cause everyone else has to, So why not have my team sim to and see the outcome, Anyways sorry so long, I guess just recapping some things. yea i was alil upset with the boring offseason, when i seen guys like Paul, Howard, Deron Williams, etc etc as possibly free agents.
