Currently in the 2nd year of my Cavs chise. Simulated the 1st season and drafted Kyrie Irving, Alec Burks, and DeAndre Liggins. Also signed DeAndre Jordan in the offseason. My roster currently looks like

gosh now u guys got me kinda wanting to try controlling all 30 teams, u can still adjust the settings like letting your assistants control some things, but ya u wont believe what we did against the rockets in my chise, plus i got oden and my starting PG back, ill update in alil bit

Sixers (Test) and Timberwolves (Fun!)

My Sixers 50 games simulated for years (some weird things happening when simulated, SG overload, Traded Iggy for some Computer Generated Player, got Anthony, Traded him away yet again, The AI Traded Away our First Round Picks for players and we were the worst team in the season!!!!)

2027 - I finally stopped simulating, got First Overall Pick, pulled a few strings to get a good PF from the Magic and foolishly replaced my staff for F-all Staff.

2028 - We finally got to the playoffs! Shockingly the F offense F defense F potential F teacher got Coach of the Year, First Round Pick got MVP and Rookie of the Year and...We won the Finals.

Then I stop....

Timberwolves - Planning a Twelve-peat! Finished Six peat, ready for 7-peat. Twelve Peat started 2011-2012 season (I had to rebuild and waited for draft and so Lakers won 2011 Finals via sweeping the Celtics.)

Bench - Martell Webster (six time champion), Emeka Okafor (4 time champion), 4 Rookies (none as of yet), Jerome James (none as of yet) and Brian Scalabrine (2 Time Champion Plus 1 if ya include his 2008 stint as a bench warmer)

Honorable Retired Mentions: Royal Ivey (6 time champion) and for 1-year Rashard Lewis (who has won 1 title before retiring)

it's something like settings or options> controller settings > preferred position

The options aren't correctly named since this is off the top of my head but you should be able to figure it out

Just shipped out Travis Outlaw and a 2012 2nd Round Pick for James Posey. Needed a knock down shooter which Outlaw wuznt. Plus he had a horrible contract

It is hardly luck. You have just taken advantage of the awful trade logic of the AI in this game!

In the end it is a ******* trade for them, but good for you.

Hey guys, I am new here. I am a huge Bobcats fan and live right outside of Charlotte. I am big into NBA 2k11's association mode too so I feel this is the right group to join.

Started an association last night with...

Cleavland Cavaliers

The story line is to win a title before Lebron. I started with the post trade deadline rosters so the roster is a mess. The team has no strength

So first I had to develop an identity. I elected to transform the Cavs into a 3 point shooting team as I highly doubted my ability to make this roster into one that could go blow for blow with any team inside. With the roster I had this was a problem as both Sessions and Baron Davis are awful from behind the arc. I made some very realistic trades that would seem questionable to everyone but someone who has true knowledge of the game.

1st trade:
Ramon Sessions for Steve Blake & '11 1st round lakers & '12 first round lakers

2nd trade: Baron Davis for Mike Dunleavy & '11 2nd round pacers

3rd trade: Alonzo Gee & JJ Hickson FOR Batum & '12 1st round Blazers

The 3rd trade hurt me, but Hickson was not happy off the bench and he does not fit my game plan. I need my wing to be able to shoot the long ball. So the lineup is...(spellings probably not great haha)

PG: Steve Blake, Daniel Gibson
SG: Anthony Parker,
SF: Nicholas Batum, Mike Dunleavy
PF: Antwaun Jamison,
C: Anderson Varejow,

I forget the subs but the core of the team can shoot lights out. Call me crazy but I see Blake being a hand-in-glove fit for this team. With 4 out of the 5 guys being able to knock down the long ball I feel like with pretty good defense we can be in most games.

I am playing 12 min quarters, HOF mode, and CPU 48s sliders( would use default but I have seen Kendrick Perkins make one too many 25 foot turn around J's for me to feel like thats realistic lol) I will probably get in about a game a night. I will post results and maybe try to blog about it too. Check my sig in the near future.

Please let me know what your thoughts are about this team. Too me, even as a Bobcat fan, this story line is super fun.

I Agree that the AI doesn't know what a Good Trade is. I Put in in Trade Finder and There was 25 Offers. And Most Were a Guy in 80's And a Draft Pick. I was doubtful I would Find Anything and then I Saw That one I Was like Wth? That's what they do. You See Crap Trades And then You See Some Offer that Is Just Weird(And Good For Only You)

Wow didn't realize Hawes could shoot, that is a good suggestion. I believe I have the cap especially since I will give up Verjow because he won't play off the bench

With this team as it stands for the current season, I am gearing up to have a team that can just flat out out score the other team. I am not going to be able to stop the other team with any regularity so this season is all about having more scoring potential.

However, what about a trade for a sheer rebounder like Joel Pryzbilla who will give me some cap space at the end of the season as well. I would trade Anderson Varejow.

Thoughts on either idea?

So i found out something i could do instead of controlling all 30 teams, you can resign from your GM position pick any team, and then trade players from there. no i dont mean cheat and get a start team, Iam talking about guys who have been wanting a trade from there team since last season, Example since mid season last season, Lamar Odom has had his Moral down below i think 10 or 20 lol, and even now to the point where there is no moral lol. So i went to the Lakers, click trade finder clicked on his name and it brought up about 20 teams offering, and most of the time its guys who are also wanting to be traded,

So i hold down R2 or L2 for PS3, and let it cycle through all the teams without looking for about 5 seconds, and then whatever team it lands on, then do that trade, as long as it makes sense, and im not cheating any of the teams.

it can be kinda fun to see what u land on, i usually take the guys who are on the rumor list who want out and go to that team and then do a trade, Odom landed in Utah and is happier now, The Lakers were very busy i kept landing on them, Plus they had Odom, Fisher and Brad Miller all wanting out,

Ill probably do about 5 more trades b4 the deadline which is in about a week( on the game schedule) There was a trade i landed on that wouldnt have made since, it had Udonis Haslem landing in NY but the knicks already have billups, Tmac-vince carter-ben wallace and Amare, ya talk about a squad and i just played them to, and u will see later how i did, Carmelo went to the Nets in the offseason haha,

but ya i didnt think Udonis going to the Knicks would make since for bill walker and tony douglas, Yea the Heat would get younger, but Haslem would just end up benched still... but ya u can always resign from a team and go right back to them so its kinda a neat way to do it. Not sure how ill do free agency yet, this off season is going to be a big one for FA's
