Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Talk about a tough one, my Jazz just lost 96-92 to Denver. I didn't catch how the game ended, but my team made a comeback in the 2nd half. We had picked up 25 points in both the 3rd and 4th quarter. Denver put up 17 points in the 3rd quarter, but put up 28 points in the 4th. What I am thinking is that if my defense had played a bit better n the 4th, we would've won this game.
My team stats:
Adrian Dantly, 35 poiints, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 5 TO'S... 14-21 FG
Karl Malone, 15 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 TO, 6-16 FG
It's safe to say that guys like Karl Malone and John Stockton will need to develop. Stockton is only 22 and Malone is 20, so plenty of time for both of them to improve their game.
Our next two games are against teams that we WILL beat: Charlotte and Miami (they didn't exist back in 84, so their teams have players rated at like 25 OVR and what not. I almost feel bad that my first two wins wlll come against teams like this...). I will quickly post the results to the two games and my team's top scorer...
Utah @ Charlotte: 88-60 W
Adrian Dantley with 26 points 8 rebounds 1 steal
Utah @ Miami: 90-62 W
Thurl Bailey, 16 points 8 rebounds 1 block
Adrian Dantey, 16 points 8 rebounds 2 assists
Now, our next game is against the Rockets. Wish me luck against Olajuwon...
EDIT: Made some trades:
Traded Ricky Green to Detroit for Joe Dumars
Traded Mark Eaton and Carey Scurry to the Clippers for Benoit Benjamin and Jamaal Wilkes
Quick little bit about Beniot. He's a good inside scorer with inside scoring at 90 and close range at 86. He's 7'0", 260 pounds, and only 21 years old. I'm feeling a little better about this game against Houston.
My starting 5 is:
PG: Stockton
SG: Dumars
SF: Dantley
PF: Malone
C: BeniotLast edited by dxdude2004; 06-09-2011, 03:07 PM. Reason: Updating. bentons Nba2k11 Portland Trail Blazer Association
Ok ill do a quick recap of the last 8 games, I also just updated my other stuff u can find on the dynasty link in my sig, the standings, league leaders, player stats....
Ok the last 8 games have been up and down, 3-5 record but lost some close games. got Geral Wallace back, and i raised the mins for Wallace-Roy-Aldridge, I need my key players on the court.
these games are in order of what was first in the last 8 games:
(Played first half/Simmed 2nd half) VS Charlotte (L) 107-102: Brandon Roy 28 points, Aldridge 20pts, 14rebs, Patrick Patterson 8pts, 14rebs. Blazers seemed to have it all wrapped up after one, leading 33-22 but was outscored 85-69 in the last 3 quarters, Frustrating loss.
(Sim) VS Atlanta (L) 103-63 Yep thats right folks 63 big points by us, wow i seem this and i was shocked, at home, needless to say i would guess the Rose Garden booed them off the floor, I guess it was one of them nights.
Brandon Roy was the only thing going for the Blazers scoring 25 points for the game, while Portland had 25 at half.
Roy had his 25 but the rest of the starters had 19 points, the team was 18-77 shooting, and 2-13 from three point land.
(Hoopscast sim) @ Utah (W) 106-99, Blazers bounced back from a horrible game to beat the Hated Jazz in Utah. LaMarcus Aldridge had 30pts, 12 rebounds, Patrick Patterson tossed in a bouble double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Former Blazer Nic Batum had 16 points, 8 rebounds for the Jazz. And Blazer rookie PG Kenny McCormick had a career high 12 assist.
(Sim) @ LA Clippers (L) 96-98. Well the Blazers lil run didnt last long as they fell to the Clippers in LA, Portland was down 10 at the end of the 1rst, Roy was solid having scored 22 points 5 rebound and 5 assist, But the big news was the return of Forward Gerald Wallace, Wallace only had 8 points after missing nearly a month, but did pull down16 rebound in his return. And Aldridge played just 23 minutes having 15 points and 4 rebounds.
(Sim) VS Houston (W) 105-98. Wallace in his 2nd game back had another solid game, scoring 24 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, Alridge chipped in 20 and 7, And Roy had 20 points and 11 assist, But as it goes with Portland, one player comes back another goes dow, Rookie PG and #1pick Kenny McCormick went down with a twisted ankle but it shouldnt be to serious.
(Sim) Vs Thunder (W) 100-95. Aldridge had 19 points and 6 rebounds, While Gerald Wallace does it again, another double double 14 and 12, he had really shown alot since he came back. And the Blazers need that. Back up PG J.J Barea got the start at PG rather then move Roy to PG and Wesley Matthews to the 2 guard spot. Big rivalry win over the Thunder.
(Sim) @ Minnesota (L) 110-96. After beating division opponents Utah and OKC, the Blazers wanted this game, against a team that for some reason they struggle against, last season Portland lost the season series 3-1, And tonight it would be no different, Portland was lost and gone in the 2nd half, outscored 60-38, Backup G/F Wesley Matthews stepped up and had 26 points. And Wallace was at it again scoring 12 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. With all this rebounding Wallace has been doing ofcourse Aldridges rebound would kinda take a hit, LA had 22 points and 5 rebounds. And Barea had a solid 2nd start putting in 10 points 6 rebound 8 assist.
(Sim) Vs Sixers (L) 99-97. for the 2nd time in the last 8 games the Blazers loose by 2, this time at home to the 76ers, Portland didnt help there cause by only scoring 14 in the 2nd, Aldridge put down 30 points and 10 rebound, but the key man of the night again was Gerald Wallace, he put up 26 points and 17 rebounds, the man was on fire, Brandon Roy had 15 points and 10 assist. But came up short at home, and these are games, HC/GM Benton says the team needs to win, to make a better run at the playoffs.
* There is still some contemplation on the starting PG spot, Rookie McCormick has been in foul issues and alil up and down, Back up PG Barea has some flashes here and there, And also Roy has shown he can be a facilitator, in his recent few games, Also When Greg Oden comes back in a few weeks, questions remain as to how much he will play, And i think Portlands record at the time should be a big factor, benton also said he will stick to more of a 8 man rotation, when healthy the main 3 off the bench will be Matthews-Patterson and Barea. even though he has enjoyed seeing what Hansbrough has brought to the team.
Can the Blazers turn it around?. They have 8 home games and 5 road games in February and 9 more games before the all star break, Portland sits at 6 games back of the final 8th spot in the west, will the Blazers make anymore moves b4 the deadline, right now it looks like they wont. As Coach benton wants the team to mesh moreLast edited by benton32; 06-09-2011, 08:24 PM.Youtube channel

I've led the league in blocking with Darko Milicic and Anthony Randolph... Deandre Jordan gets me about 2 blocks a game on average over 18mpg... he can be had cheaply.AJ Stuart M25 Career Dynasty- http://www.operationsports.com/wolvesjr34/dynasty/Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Does it depend on if u are simming or playing ? sometimes players can do better in played games or worse, but ive always kinda went and checked on wizards big man JaVale McGee that guy is young and athletic and get rebound and block, i did a trade finder for him and most of the time they wanted Roy or Oden or Wesley Matthews and a first rounder, so im guessing he has some talent and potential, I may make a run at him in the offseason, see how Oden rolls..Youtube channel

Dangit I just got smashed by the Pacers who are a pretty sucky team... I swear that the further the season goes on the more the CPU cheats to ensure that it wins... it makes me want to break my controller. So very frustrating.AJ Stuart M25 Career Dynasty- http://www.operationsports.com/wolvesjr34/dynasty/Comment

Javale Mcgee. Period. Gets at least 3 blocks a game. Has 99 blocking rating for me at the moment after only a few development workouts.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
So finally got my Bulls association underway, I am also continuing my Knicks one as well but the Bulls appeal to more. The original roster is pretty good but I wanted to make them into a genuine contender. The only person untradeable was Rose...and Noah at first. But things changed.
First off i waived Lucas and bought in Iverson on a 1.5 mil one year deal. It's a recurring theme to my associations lol.
Next I wanted to bring in a quality SG, which I believe is what the Bulls are lacking, I looked at a few; Rip, Iggy and Lee. But I decided I'd see what the Rockets would want for K-Mart. They offered me Jordan Hill, Luis Scola and K- Mart for Boozer, Asik and '11 1st round pick. I bit their hand off for that and pulled the trigger.
On the list next, was Demarcus Cousins. Kings offered him to me for Scola and '12 1st rounder. Yes please. Pulled the trigger.
I put Watson up to see what I could get for him and the Rockets offered me their '11 1st rounder. Maybe not realistic but hey if they offering why not? Pulled the trigger.
Next I went after T-Mac who could easily end up in Chicago after this season IRL, they wanted Pargo and my '12 2nd rounder for T-Mac and their '11 2nd rounder. Again didn't make alot of sense, but I accepted.
On the chopping block next was Bogans who I offered in Trade Finder. Again the Rockets wanted to do business offering me Chuck Hayes (one of their six centers) for Bogans. I accepted.
The Kings then offered me their '11 2nd rounder and their '12 2nd rounder for Brewer, which I gladly accepted.
I went on to sign Rashad McCants from FA, who has impressed me in NY association. Thought he could back Martin up quite easily.
Kurt Thomas and Jordan Hill were then traded to the Clippers for DeAndre Jordan. They also wanted my 2nd rounder so I accepted.
I made the biggest trade next, which I umed and ahed about for ages as it probably killed any chance of realism I had. Atlanta offered me Smith and Horford for Gibson, Deng and Noah (didn't wanna trade him but looked at the positives)
I then went on to trade Butler for Aj Price and Korver to Minnesota for one of their picks, csnt remember which one exactly.
My rotations as of now:
PG - Rose / Iverson / Price
SG - Martin / McCants
SF - Smith / McGrady
PF - Horford / Cousins
C - Hayes / Jordan
As i said, probably not really realistic at all but looks solid on paper. Not fussed to win first season just wanna compete. Will make some trades later as well.
Played first game away to the Thunder and got the win, Rose got 28 followed by Horford with 16. I'm going to start a blog shortly, so hopefully a few people are interested.
Rashad McCants also went down and is out for month so I'm gonna look at FA and see who i can pick up on the cheap.
I'm not at my game round now but the recount of the trades is fairly accurate. Blog to be up shortly.Last edited by Cairns_baller; 06-10-2011, 05:22 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
so I simmed to the All-Star game in my Minnesota franchise. Play it out.
Down 115-113. Draw a foul with Kobe with 3.4 seconds left. He's got 35 points and is basically on fire. Playing with Real FT % on, I figure this is going to be an easy two FTs.
First FT. Missed. Okay, I'll make the 2nd one and foul.
Here is the second FT attempt

LMAO. Wow, the only thing that could make this better is him retiring after the play-offs.
