I kinda like being able to go to another team and then come back, as long as i dont have alot of reward points left over. It allows me to check out rotations and give mins to guys who should be playing, and take some off.. i dont wanna see some guys playing 42 minutes a game, i usually lower them to about 38-39 James has led the league the last 2 years in MPGs around 41-42. and i think it gives those guys a advantage in stats. Now im not sure if when i go back to Portland that the other teams stuff dont reset back to what the computer wants... Iam checking to see if it will.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Made it to the playoffs in my 2nd season with the Knicks (didn't sign Carmelo, lost Azubuike and Chandler) but managed to finish 8th by winning the last match vs Indiana with a buzzer beater.Indiana was on 8th spot and my Knicks 9th entering the Pacers court for a really big game.
Playoffs vs the Miami.First game was a disaster.114-133 with Wade and James destroying my D.
Yesterday, I played the second game of the series trying a different approach both on D and Offense. On D I focused on shutting down Wade with Double Teams. On offense I worked the clock and mixed things in the paint feeding the Big 4 (Turiaf, Curry, Stoudemire, Mozgov) and Heat collapsed.1st quarter was a nightmare for them (33-14), they managed to comeback (35-30) but finally the Knicks were victorious 102-94.Now 1-1 but even with this win my feel is that only with a miracle the Knicks will win 4 times the Heat.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Sitting here in year 2 of the Cavs association. Landed pick 1 and 4 in the draft and ended up with Kyrie irving and Derrick Williams. Was surprised Williams slipped to number 4. Here's how my roste rlooks.
PG- Kyrie Irving
SG- Shannon Brown
SF- Derrick Williams
PF- Larry Sanders
C- Anderson Varejao
Daniel Gibson
Nolan Smith
Malcotm lee
Christian Eyenga
Antwan Jamison
Luke Harangody
Jonas Valanciunas
Semith Erden
Just beat the Celtics in my season opener in a overtime thriller. Irving hit the gamewinning fadeaway over Rondo wit0.3 seconds left. he finished with 26 points 4 rebounds and 12 assists. Derrick Williams finished with 19 ppoints 14 rebounds and 4 assists, next game is on the road against the Sixers.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
What do you think/any suggestions for my year 4 Rockets? Wanted to simulate through the 2013 draft to get guys like McAdoo in there etc., and to give 2011/2012 draftees time to develop.
I tried to be as realistic as possible, and only pulled off 1 big trade (for Josh Smith).
PG - Kyle Lowry (78)/Jose Calderon (72)
SG - Kevin Martin (80)/Michael Gilchrist (73)/Marcus Jordan (60)
SF - Marcus Morris (77)/Chase Budinger (73)
PF - Josh Smith (83)/Patrick Patterson (79)/Donatas Motiejunas (74)/Chuck Hayes (72)
C - Jonas Valanciunas (79)/Serge Ibaka (77)
I usually play big, sliding Smith down to SF for stretches with Patterson or Ibaka at the 4.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I drafted Irving, Williams, and Valuciunas in the 1st round. Picked up Smith and Malcom lee in the 2nd. I selected Irving with the #1 overall pick. I was set to pick Kanter with the 4th pick but the Blazers shook everything up my moving up to #2 and taking Brandon Knight. I figured the T-Wolves would pick Williams at #3 but they passed up on him and took Alec Burks and that's how Williams slipped to me at #4. I got back in the lottery to take Valuciunas because the warriors offered me their 2011 and 2012 1st rounds picks for Sessions.Last edited by yungb0ss; 06-22-2011, 03:19 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Well I was able to defeat the Lakers at home to clinch the top seed in the West with 2 games remaining. I decided to just simulate the last 2 meaningless games but I lowered all my starters' minutes to around 20 just to avoid any freak injuries. The Kings will look to win their first championship since 1951 when they were the Rochester Royals. We will be facing the 8th seeded T'Wolves in the 1st round.
Their current lineup:
PG: Flynn (79)/ Marquis Teague (66)*
SG: Johnson (78)/ Ellington (66)
SF: Beasley (82)/ Hayward (67)
PF: Hickson (77)/ Ilyasova (70)
C: Valanciunas (73)/ Hawes (71)
*Rookie
We will see if the 1st Team All-Defense star Wesley Johnson can contain our superstar Tyreke Evans. None of their frontcourt players have good post defense so I expect Cousins and Love to have a great series against his former team. Neither team has much playoff experience. This is actually my first time playing in the playoffs offline on 2k11. I expect to take the series in 5 or 6 games.
I have already played game 1 of the series. We ended up losing at home 102-92. Cousins had a great game with 24 points and 7 offensive rebounds. Our post players ended up having solid games. It was our perimeter shooting that brought us down. Jimmer was 2-10 all from the 3 point line. Evans and Young were decent but our bench shooters struggled to get it going.
I think game 2 is now a must win for us. We can't go down 0-2 and expect to win both games in OKC to even up the series. I'll keep you guys updated.Comment

I'm just about to start up a Cavs association and I've just been wondering do the coaches you hire have any effect on the team at all? Say I hire Larry Brown would my team get any kind of defensive boost? Or if I hire Don Nelson does my team get an offensive boost?Browns

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Alright. I've Decided to CONTINUE My Kings Association Because it was kind of a downer when Lebron Hoisted the NBA Championship Trophy. I hate Lebron! So this Year, I'm goin all out. This Is my Lineup And No one has an expired contract so I'm pretty good. But for Some reason. My team doesn't have what it takes To get to the Very top. I've Traded Donte Greene and a 2nd Round Pick(29th) to the Nets for their 1st Round Pick(18th). This was the 1st time I Downloaded the Draft Class, But instead, I used it To go along with Kirk Hinrich for Brandon Jennings. And after the draft, I picked up F.A's J.R Smith and Thaddeus Young. So Now, I think I have a Perfect lineup:
PG S.Curry,B.Jennings
SG T.Evans, J.R Smith, G.Henderson
SF P.George, T.Young, K.Korver, O.Casspi
PF J.Smith, S.Williams
C A.Horford, J.Noah, H.Whiteside
Do I have Good Depth? And Should I try and Trade away Noah/Casspi For a Better Power Forward Backup? That seems to Be My Only Flaw Right? You Mad Bro?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In my third year of my Milwaukee Bucks fantasy franchise I made a mid-season move:
Milwaukee Gets:
Brendan Haywood
Leon Powe
Future 2nd Round Pick
Phoenix Gets:
Channing Frye
Louis Amundson
Future 2nd Round Pick
So now my rotation looks like:
Patrick Mills (32) - Can stay with the quickest guards on D
Shannon Brown (35) - Last Year's MVP
Wilson Chandler (35) - My centerpiece
Dirk Nowitzki (32) - Aging but can still knock down long shots
Javale McGee (32) - Good defender and finishes well
Baron Davis (22) - Great vet of the bench, complaining about PT though, might trade?
Shawn Marion (20) - Amazing offseason pick up, can still guard anyone
JJ Reddick (12) - Spot up shooter, can score 20 (5 min quarters) if hot.
Brendan Haywood (8) - Better low post defender than Frye
Alando Tucker (6) - Picked up this offseason as a filler and has played well enough for me to be convinced to keep him long term.
Leon Powe (0) - Filler
Derek Fisher (0) - Aging vet just in case a point guard goes down.
I mainly traded Frye because he was signed for 3 more years, degressed over the offseason, and missed more wide open jump shots than I can count. Plus both Haywood and Powe are free agents after the season which opens up some money.Comment
