I'm running w/ the Mavs in year one of my association. Still unsure of how many teams I'm going to control though.

Anyone doing an all-30 teams association? With the new AI being geared toward buying/selling/contending etc, seems like controlling all teams will not take advantage of this aspect.

I dunno...I'll probably sim a couple seasons as a tester, controlling only team, to analyze what teams end up doing to see if I like the AIs new approach.

Definitely running w/ the Mavs in year one though to try and get that ring for Kidd & Dirk. Plus Caron Butler is one of my fav players so this Dallas team should be a blast playing as. If I don't control all-30 teams, I'll probably do Dallas, PHI, and one or two others for building projects.

This is my first 2k game and my first NBA in over 7 years. I will be running with the Knicks. I will play about 20 games and see where I am at and if I need to make any trades.

Do too many players still play 82 games? Last year there weren't enough small injuries to keep guys out just a couple games. This left bench players with too few minutes, since they didn't get starter minutes.

I'm going to use the Wizards or Bulls with the youngest Jordan. Not original, but since I'm a huge Jordan fan, it will enhance my association

I'll be running as the Raptors...giving DeRozan/Davis big minutes and tanking hard for the #1 pick. Is there a good draft class available yet or should I just use an auto-generated one?

What are some trades you all have seen/made involving Melo?

I'm trying to figure out what team I want to run with and I'm considering the Nuggets and I would definitely pull the trigger on a Melo trade.

So iv'e been simming a few seasons in association just to get a handle on how things pan out and iv'e run across something very interesting when it comes to CPU trading..

The first season there were a normal amount of trades, about 14, but then, here's where the problem comes in.

The second season there were a total of 2

Every season after that, 0 trades by the computer and I mean none. Even during the draft the only trades that were taking place were ones done by me.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, 2K please patch this ASAP, it makes association mode unplayable at this point.

Uhh...that sucks

I wouldn't say its unplayable however, but it does put a damper on things..Can you start an association and if/when a patch comes out to fix would be have to restart an associaiton? If not, then this isn't a big deal as long as you don't plan to sim seasons like that.

Trade Finder will show you everything you need, its really great

Select Melo and if The Nuggets like whats on your roster, they will proposed some scenarios...

Year 2 in my sim season, Melo signed with the Pacers...

Don't have the game yet as I'm still at work but if everyone is hitting this, how does this get past QA? Only 2 trades in year 2, no trades in year 3 -> obvious red flag.

Now that I've got the game, I plan on starting up my Pistons Association. Can't decide whether I'm going to do a fantasy draft or start up with the team as is and dump all but 2 or 3 players, though. lol

Two games in with the Knicks and I am 0-2. Lost to the Raptors 91-80 and lost to the Celtics 96-80. Anthony Randolph is out 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist and Wilson Chandler is out 2-4 weeks with a severely sprained ankle. Its already ugly in New York City. Toney Douglas may be the most frustrating player I have ever controlled in a sports video game. Misses wide open looks or gets to the rim and blows the lay-up. SMH.
