If you want another scoring option and dont want to make trades.

Develop andrew bynum, guy is beastly in the post
So development post offense training is very easy and effective.

and ofcourse if your afraid of his injury prone self, at the end of each season, PUT HIM THROUGH CONDITIONING TRAINING CAMP

Once first season is done youll see a big difference with bynum as long as he stays healthy ofcourse

The moment you trade pau to the cavs they wont be last place team, theyll prolly start hickson and gasol in the same line up and you wont get that high of a draft pick.

Jamison is super old he has 2 years left and is on steep decline. He plays no defense and he just shoots around and does random ****.

The lakers lose a big man dominant scoring presence and it totally knocks off there championship chemistry.

      2. Gasol and 1st round for rudy gay and Xavier Henry

Bad trade once again the lakers lose a big man which they need to compete with phsyical teams, yeah they lose a measley 1st rounder but still man,

Rudy gay would start on this team if that happened im assuming, but what about xavier henry. You already have shannon brown.

THe lakers also has 4 sf's to begin with, if you trade for rudy gay thats 5.
      Walton, Artest, Ebanks, matt barnes.

What about the others? You expect them to be happy? Not enough playing time to go around.

      3. Gasol + Shannon brown for Danny granger and Tj Ford

The pacers totally win on this. Your giving up way to much for 2 injury prone players. They get 2 scoring healthy option stars to join them for danny granger who is injury prone and tj ford who has attitude problems.

Its a bad trade, yeah youll get a pg in tj ford but then what you going to start him over fisher? Or is fisher gonna start over him and as ive said before you already have 4 sf's in your roster. Another log jam right there

      4. Gasol + Barnes for Ellis and filler
Im iffy on this, ellis is showing signs of brilliance but he is in an offensive type of system. He does play sg, if you trade for him are you planning to move him into pg? Or a sixth man.

I still believe your giving to much up, You lose your star big man and a wing player for a star in the making and your team gets a lot smaller.

      Overall Opinion
Lakers are my team, always has been and yes they do have cap problems and what not but dont take away the gasol kobe combo. That makes them winners with our without andrew bynum.

Use other options, Before i would have said trade odom, but he backs up the 4 and 5 very well so keep him.

Theres always ron artest, matt barnes, bynum (if believe hell get injured again), steve blake, luke walton

If i were you and you wanted another scoring option, invest in a point guard a scoring one. Doesnt have to be a star, You could go for players like cj watson, eric maynor, daniel gibson etc. Invest in them and develop them.

If you want to go in the same route lakers have been going. Look for a past first mentality pg like luke ridnour.
The cpu are ripping off you from these trades, only if you don't have that much sfs, you could do the Rudy Gay trade. But no trades benefit you here

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Just started an association with my beloved Orlando Magic.

Before starting the season I made two trades to add some decent bench.

Celtics trade: Kendrick Perkins, Von Wafer & Semih Erden.
Magic trade: Daniel Orton, Earl Clark, Chris Duhon & '12 2nd rounder.

Rockets trade: Terrence Williams & Jordan Hill.
Magic trade: Jason Williams, Brandon Bass, '11 1st rounder & '12 1st rounder.

        Thoughts on those trades?

        My line-up now would be;

        PG - Arenas / Nelson / Wafer,
        SG - Richardson / Williams / Redick,
        SF - Richardson / Williams / Turkoglu,
        PF - Turkoglu / Hill / Anderson,
        C - Howard / Perkins.

I decided to acquire Perkins because it would allow for me to either rest Howard or have solid cover if he ever got fouled out. I can also sometimes play both with one filling the PF role and give me a solid defensive inside game. Williams is also a big help and depending on how Q. Richardson does over the season he may end up replacing him as he has a solid defensive game too. I think I've improved the bench a lot and have two solid players for every position bar the PF role but I will see how things go.

I really love Jordan Hill, hes young and has time to develop, but i think you should start Turkgolu over Q.Richardson?

this trade is amazing for you. daniel orton should not be rated so high in trades - what is he 4 or 5 stars? but anyway nice job picking up perk for almost nothing. the CPU celts are always really eager to trade him, probably because they have shaq and jermaine.

the other trade is OK. terrence williams is overrated in 2k11

Just played my first game with the side and I'm liking what I see. I had 39 of my 89 points coming from the bench which was rather solid. Also kept J. Wall to 0 points.

              Wizards 83 - 89 Magic.

My team provided solid scoring from most of the squad and everyone seemed to want to get rebounds too. Shot 54% as a team.

              J. Nelson - 21 PTS, 5 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL.
              D. Howard - 20 PTS, 5 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 4 BLK.
              T. Williams - 13 PTS, 1 REB, 2 STL. Played only 12 minutes.
              G. Arenas - 11 PTS, 7 REB, 7 AST.
              H. Turkoglu - 8 PTS, 4 REB, 1 AST.
              J. Richarson - 8 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL, 1 BLK.
              Q. Richardson - 3 PTS, 8 REB, 2 AST.
              K. Perkins - 2 PTS, 7 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I went back to an old save in my Blazers assoc and just finished the '11-'12 off-season where I won my second championship.

The Cavs got the first pick (Lyle Palmer, SF, ovr 76) and definitely cleaned up during the free agency.

Signings during the free agency with overall rating:

                  Grizz:
                  Andre Blatche 4yrs - 74
                  Ray Allen 1yr - 72

                  Heat:
                  Jermaine O'Neal - 72

                  Cavaliers:
                  Evan Turner 5yrs - 84
                  Chris Paul 5yrs - 95
                  Ben Wallace 3yrs - 80
                  David West 3yrs - 75

                  Blazers (Me):
                  Antawn Jamison 1yr
                  Mehmet Okur 1yr
                  Kirk Hinrich 1yr

                  Knicks:
                  Allen Iverson 1yr - 73

                  Nuggets:
                  Jason Kidd 1yr - 83
                  Michael Beasley 5yrs - 80

                  Celtics:
                  Courtney Lee 5yrs - 73

                  Jazz:
                  Lamar Odom 3yrs - 74
                  Delonte West 4yrs - 75

                  Kings:
                  Mareese Speights 4yrs - 75
                  Anthony Randolph 5yrs - 76

                  Timberwolves:
                  Nate Robinson 3yrs - 76

                  Bobcats:
                  Leandro Barbosa 3yrs - 74

                  Warriors:
                  Sebastian Telfair 1yr - 71

So my lineup is as follows:

pg. Chip Park - 77^3 (pg)
sg. Brandon Roy - 97^2 (sg)
sf. Gerald Wallace - 86^2 (sf)
pf. Josh Smith - 88^2 (pf)
                  C. Roy Hibbert - 78v1 (C)

                  6th. Wesley Mathews - 76^2 (sg/sf)
                  Antawn Jamison - 73^1 (pf/sf)
                  Mehmet Okur - 71^1 (c)
                  Kirk Hinrich - 71^2 (pg/sg)
                  Andre Miller - 70^2 (pg)
                  Dante Cunningham - 65^1 (pf)
                  Jamaal Mocrief - 56^1 (sf)
                  Eddy Curry - 63^1 (c)

Note: Players like Wallace and Kidd's attribute strengths were edited so they would play close to their prime, and also their age was lowered so they would play into their late 30's. I will reset their age to the realistic number near the end of their second to last season on this years signing. I did this for a few aging players in different teams. It just makes things interesting during my assoc.
...we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...

I just went through my 2nd offseason in my wolves association. I think after a tough season going 40-42, they are ready for a huge turnaround this 3rd year. Mainly bc of my draft and the fact that evan turner agreed to join the wolves for the mid level exception. Heres how this seasons depth chart looks.

                      PG Johnny Flynn 84ovr
                      SG Evan Turner 86ovr
                      SF Wes Johnson 83ovr
                      PF Kevin Love 81ovr
                      C Lou Craig 76ovr (2011 6th pick)
                      PF Micheal Beasly 81ovr
                      6th Jason Thompson 76ovr
                      Rp Corey Brewer 74 ovr

Not going to list the whole roster but we should b good. Went from a 79 ovr to an 86 ovr as a team. I am hoping we win 50 games and get home court in the 1st round.

I would do it, sounds good to me. If it wasn't a fantasy draft association and he was on the Celtics though I would hate it, lol.

I'm taking a break from my Heat franchise who I am 31-0 with so far in my second season, though I've had quite a few close calls lately, such as trailing the Boston Celtics by 11 at the half on a Christmas day match-up, but pulled it out at the end.

Anyways, I'm starting a franchise with the Golden State Warriors tonight, will update in a day or two on if I'm any good with them.
