Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
It is their game so I guess they can do what they want but, continually raping the A.I. isn't something I would do with my game. I mean, I agree that it has improved but, I still see the occasional head scratcher but, I certainly don't jump on it.
Anyways, as for me, I usually allow myself one trade per season and wait until at least December before making the move. I rarely ever trade starters, it's usually role players. This year, I'll probably move SG Delonte West in my Celtics Association. But, only because he's already upset about playing-time. I'm in the market for a strong defensive SG/SF type to take on the James Posey/Tony Allen type role. However, I'm going to wait until mid-season to see how the other teams records are before making any real offers. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
OKCs GM Sam Presti comes from Spurs lineage, and values draft picks and young developing players (Green). With having drafted Cole Aldrich I don't see any suitable reason that the Thunder would want Gortat, and therefore move Green. With Durant/Westbrook/Green, not to forget Harden, they are a contending team in the West. Gortat, IMO, offers no more advantage than Aldrich moving forward, and so Aldrich should get the backup minutes.
Don't see a need w/ JJ Redick on the Blazers. Portland has shooters, and ones that play better D than JJ. Ryan Anderson is fodder, and not worthy of a trade...unless he garnered some kind of cap relief which I don't think he does. With Blazer centers going down w/ injuries last year, Portland needs all the depth they have and probably then some...
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but ask and you shall receive.
Nope, it is what I wanted. If I did not want to know whether it was realistic, I would not have even posted in the first place, So I appreciate the extended responses from someone who knows the NBA.
On the first trade, believe it or not, for whatever reason, Daniel Orton was the main draw. The clippers even offered 2 firsts for him (Obviously not realistic). Perhaps they figured that they were losing Green after his contract expired this year and wanted to be sure to get a prospect for him in return? I should have included the contracts.
And I think the Blazers may have just wanted to Dump Przybilla's contract. It hurts to pay a 31 year old, 67 rated center 7.41 million a year. Honestly, I wanted to sign a C for the Minimum Level Exemption, but had too many people on my roster and am trying to win now, so I was forced to make a move.
Please let me know about your thoughts on these explanations, regardless, I am probably going to give the Thunder back their first round pick, but may just completely restart since I am a game or two in. thanks man
btw, nice quote in your sig!Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I have two save files. One for my team that is completely different from the real Pistons, then the other has a few minor adjustments. Anyways, here is the one that has a lot of transactions. Do these all seem realistic? Not the biggest NBA fan, so I am not entirely sure how fair/realistic all these were, but I tried to keep them balanced based off team needs for me and the CPU and ratings.
Pistons Trade
Ben Wallace, Chris Wilcox, Tracy McGrady, '11 and '12 1st round picks
Celtics trade
Shaq, Glen Davis, Avery Bradley, Von Wafer
Then....
Pistons Trade
Doug Martin, '12 2nd Round pick
Timberwolves trade
'11 2nd round pick
And then....
Pistons Trade
'11 and '12 2nd round picks and Will Bynum
Grizzlies Trade
'11 1st Round Pick and Tony Allen
And some more....
Pistons Trade Ben Gordon, '11 1st round pick, and Tony Allen
Bulls Trade
Luol Deng, '11 1st and 2nd round picks, and Ronnie Brewer
And then again....
Pistons Trade
Charlie Villanueva and Austin Dye
Bucks Trade
John Salmons
Theres even more....
Pistons Trade
Rodney Stuckey and Glen Davis
76ers Trade
Marreese Speights and Louis Williams
And finally...
Pistons Trade
Ronnie Brewer and Von Wafer
Nets Trade
Damion James and Johan Petro
Now, I doubt all these are completely realistic, but the CPU came to me a few times, and on most these I gave away more combined overall points than I received, so I went through with them...“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
3way trade
Memphis(me) sends
Mike conley
Zack Randolph
2 1st round picks and 2 second
to
Washington for Gilbert Arenas(Washington recieves Zack and a first and 2nd round picks )
then
Sacramento sends Carl Landry to Memphis for Mike conley and a 1st and 2nd round pick.
I figured Memphis is just the fresh start Gilbert needs and Zack was complaining about min(dunno why)and said he planned on testin the market this off season anyway. This gives Washington cap relief for next year to go after Melo or any of the other big name free agents and also the reins to J Wall who for some reason wasnt startin.I get a great scoring combo guard to pair up with OJ for one of the top ONe TwO guard combos in the leauge.
Then i also seen that the Kings where haven trouble balancen min for Landry,J Thomp,Big Cuz(my main man GO BIG BLUE lol)and dalembert. They also picked up another big in free agencey cant remember who though, either way Big cuz and J Thomp were not happy with the min they were gettin and i felt like the Kings needed a solid pass first startin PG to put beside T Evens.Udroh was strugglin wth 3.5 TO per game and was really hurtin Tyreke.Plus they get two picks to sweetin the pot.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
OKC Trades (user):
Jeff Green 78 OVR PF 24YRO
DJ White 61 OVR PF 24YRO
2012 2nd Round Pick
MINN Trades:
Kevin Love 74 OVR PF 22YRO
---
I wanted a true PF, and IMO it's a fair enough trade. Minny has tons of rebounding with Wesley Johnson and Beasley, as well as their plethora of centers.
Jeff Green/Beasley can both play SF and PF comfortably, and with Wes Johnson at SG they could run all 3 together at the same time and go huge on other teams.
What do y'all think? (I know it's a very very unlikely trade, but in terms of fairness I think it works well for both teams)Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Wizards Get (Me)
Andre Iguadola
Sixers Get
Gerald Wallace
Nick Young
Earlier in the seaoson I traded Gil for Wallace but he was not what I was expecting.. Also I could not EVER get anything going with nick young so I decided to package him in the deal.. I maybe should have also asked for a 2nd round pick too.. so hopefully after a 2-4 start Iggy can get this team back on track.REDSKINS & WIZARDSComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Agreed. Make that 2nd rounder a 1st round pick and I'd consider it as legit as possible for 2k11. If you want to keep your 1st, change the second PF to Harden. Green, Harden, and a 2nd for Love is truly legit, IMO.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Bulls Gets:
O.J Mayo
Memphis Gets:
Ronnie Brewer
Keith Bogans
I needed a SG who can score, defend, and has a small contract.
Memphis always wanted to traded Mayo because they couldn't afford him since they gave Rudy Gay a huge contract. So I gave them two good defensive players with small contractsLast edited by Narigo1; 10-15-2010, 01:18 PM.Comment
