Trading is too easy, but the game doesnt make you offer trades. It would be more realistic if the trade finder would email you offers after a few days, like MLB The Show. But again, while that is unrealistic, the game isnt making you offer trades. I put up Stuckey and Prince and picked through and found an offer that was realistic (Zack Randolph) and went it and re-structed a deal around him.

And the other stuff is overrated. Like how the AI vs AI games arent sweeps in the playoffs? Home does that effect the user?

The morale thing has always been dumb. Ben Wallace dropped 2 points after I lossed 2 in a row. it's always been like that. It's always been impossible (since 2k9 at least) to please everybody with their role and their minutes.

I have Thabeet playing behind Monroe and Big Ben Wallace and he is complaining, The game needs to realize that he is the 3rd best center on the team so I'm going to play him accordingly. As long as you win games though, things will take care of itself. As long as you keep your main guys happy, which isnt too hard, you're fine.

I have a question though. Greg Monroe got hurt, about 2 weeks. He can play through it but I dont have a need to. Can you place him on IR or something? If I lower his minutes to 0 I'm afraid he'll get upset. Don't wait his rating to drop.

Disagree with bold being dumb. Balancing egos and playing time is a pivotal part of the NBA game imo. Look at Real life Rudi whinning about his role..he had a chance to step up in the absence of Roy in the playoffs and he laid an egg. Many players think they are better than what they really are and complain...........

Well I guess I'm gonna just put this game on the shelf until they addressed this (well maybe I will continue to work on the Jordan challenges). It just doesn't feel right seeing these results. I was considering trying out my player but I'm hearing issues there as well. It is a good game but it seems like 2k left us again with a lot to work with.

I would really love to get this game as long as they patch it. I don't have XBOX live myself so could I take my hard drive a buddy's house and download a patch on that if they release one? Very unfamiliar with XBOX live stuff. Thanks in advance

Yes, just take your hide drive to your friends house, put it in his Xbox, sign in as usual and the game will update to your hard drive.

Because default roster is old,too old.
I wrote in this thread about my 3 years franchise and with the last 2k official update HCA was not a problem.
And the last 2k update is not perfect,Absolutly!

About young guns ratings:
they increase because a combo potential/minutes they're playing:they play only ten minutes???But with high potential ratings they will improve the same.
I'm the first who tried Dirk Nash and Big Tim with star role and 25 in potential and they stay in their team happy until withdraw.


So when you simm your asso,tell what roster are you testing.

Do this, sim a season, then look at the W-L records for each team at home and away, you'll see what we're talking about.

Gosens6 you are right but the reason beyond this is because too many teams are good enough.Too many teams average .400 each season...
But in my opinion this is not an association killer until the patch because I simmed some playoffs(during franchise) and the simmed games were good.
But after season 1 no trades???No fa signings because generated rookies are too good???Cpu trades Nash for Nate the Great(not too much...)????
THese are franchise breaker at all.

I hope Elite comes up big next year, these 2K scrubs are starting to enjoy their fame too much and soon the game will end up like Madden! Its stupid you pay so much money for games and have to wait before u can have fun. 9.5 my ***!

Don't get ya hopes up for a great Franchise mode from Nba Live( or Elite, if thats ur thing) I can remember Ea having troubles with their Franchise mode as far back as nba live 2004, These Problems in 2k association aint that bad just might take some adjusting

Similar problems in-terms of HCA. Just simmed the second season of my Raptors franchise, and the only team that almost went over .500 on the road were the Lakers at 20-21, while they went 28-13 at home. Some highlights from the rest of the league were.

Jazz : 35-6 Home, 12-29 Away

Spurs : 29-12 Home, 6-35 Away (Was also the worst team in the west with a 35-47 record)

Bobcats : 34-7 Home, 6-35 Away

Those are ridiculous stats and need to be fixed asap.

There were a total of 6 trades in the season, Call Ups and Send Downs to the D-league seemed to be the majority of the Transactions in the Association.

In terms of the playoffs

1st round :

0 : 4-0
4 : 4-1
1 : 4-2
3 : 4-3

2nd round:

0 : 4-0
0 : 4-1
2 : 4-2
2 : 4-3

3rd round:

1 4-2 and 1 4-3

Finals:

4-1 with the Heat winning the Championship. There were no sweeps and most of the games had the Home team winning by 15-30 points

Yep Association mode is broken. AI trade logic, and how they sign FA needs to be addressed. I'm seeing these issues in the game as well. (Home and away wins and losses.) Looks like I will be holding off playing the association mode until there is a fix.

I'm worried they spend too much time on other parts of the game, and didnt' thoroughtly test out the association mode.

The Home/Away losses needs to be addressed....but just tuned better. Only 9 of the 30 teams in the real NBA had winning road records. The 6-35 finishes for good teams however is a little ridiculous.

HCA doesn't bother me that much but I can easily see where this is an issue. At least the overall win/loss is correct but still. How about if you watch a CPU game and then choose to sim to end? I wonder if that will make a difference or not.

The bigger issue for me is the FA/trade AI. That kills it for me

From my experience, the one time I tried to sim to end(I was losing big at end of 3rd), the 4th qtr didn't play olut. Final score was same score at end of 3rd. That as well needs fixed asap!
